In the early afternoon, I stopped by because it was too hot outside. The air conditioning inside the restaurant was just right, not too cold or too hot. It's nice that even if you're alone, you can sit on the sofa seat. I'm short, so I get tired sitting on high chairs. Since it was still early, I ordered a virgin fresh mojito non-alcoholic cocktail. I was able to enjoy it at a discounted price during happy hour. It was a bit disappointing that there were many black and withered parts in the mint.

I visited the HUB Ikebukuro Higashi-guchi store ANNEX, located about a 3-minute walk from JR Ikebukuro Station East Exit, on a Saturday afternoon. This place is underground, down a narrow staircase like many other HUB locations. I went there to complete a bingo challenge on the app, after hopping over from the HUB Ikebukuro Sunshine Street store (lol). The place was crowded, and I found a single empty seat to sit in. It turns out this place is popular among supporters of the Urawa Reds soccer team. The match was playing on the screens, and most people seemed to be fans watching it. Personally, I have no interest in J-League, so I just wanted to drink quickly and leave. I ordered a "Hub Ale 1/2 Pint" (¥520 tax included) and the "Beef Jerky" from the speed menu (¥400 tax included). The Hub Ale was quite good this time, with a nice mellow taste. But I couldn't get used to the atmosphere, so I drank it quickly to leave. The Beef Jerky was a bit moist and not too tough, which I liked. However, it felt a bit pricey at ¥400. I realized that this is not the kind of place for me, so I'll avoid it when visiting HUB in Ikebukuro in the future. Sorry about that. Thank you for the meal.

We made a reservation to watch the WBC with friends when it was on. The inside of the restaurant was filled with WBC vibes! When Japan scored a point, we high-fived other customers. It felt like we were at Tokyo Dome! It was my first time making a reservation at HUB, and I didn't know it was so beneficial.

After dinner, I felt like chatting a bit more so I decided to go to "HUB Ikebukuro Higashi-guchi Store ANNEX". It's a fast-food style place where you order at the counter. I had a gin and tonic along with mixed nuts and lamb kebab. The menu doesn't have anything over 1,000 yen, which explains why there are a lot of young customers. It was a satisfying experience.

My boss came to the branch, which was rare. We had a meeting, which was also rare. It didn't take long. As usual, we vented our frustrations at HUB. Happy hour started until 7 pm. Had 4 drinks and some modest snacks. Couldn't take any photos of food or drinks in front of my boss. Just enjoyed the good atmosphere, delicious drinks, light conversation, and complaints. It's great to be able to have such a casual conversation with my boss. Cheers.

I had some time to spare before my evening plans, so I decided to visit HUB. As expected, HUB during the day is reasonable and good. The drinks are also satisfying. There are several branches in Ikebukuro, but this one is the newest. It's located right in front of a park, and I like that it doesn't feel as closed off as the underground locations. I'll just review the snacks. - Buffalo Chicken: This is actually my favorite. The snack is cheap, the seasoning is spicy and just right. The quality of the meat is appropriate for the price. - Bite-sized Fish & Chips: When sharing with a few people, I recommend the bite-sized option. However, it's a bit disappointing that it lacks the plumpness of regular fish. If there were a bit more, I would rate it higher. The manager and the atmosphere of the restaurant are also good, so I think this branch is the best in Ikebukuro HUB.

Why Anex? Located in the weirdest spot in Ikebukuro area, this place always draws us in. But why? Why Anex? Once you go underground, the staff warmly welcomes you from an invisible spot. The staff here are all kind. They may not be the same person, but they are all equally kind. We, the worst kind of people who only go for the happy hour with cheap prices. But it's okay because it's not crowded, right? We always go for gin and tonic during the happy hour with the member discount. There are no annoying regulars like at the Sunshine branch, making this place cozy. The fried chicken is hot and delicious. Well, after a light drink, let's go again.

I watched the Reds game. Inside, everything is in Urawa style, the staff are also wearing Urawa uniforms. There are many monitors to watch the game. There are also foreigners, and the atmosphere is like a British pub.

Compared to other stores, this place is more relaxed. During happy hour, you can sit back and enjoy your drink slowly. It's great for a date. You can also get large size sours or highballs for under 300 yen during happy hour.

Had a quick drink. Everyone was getting excited watching the live broadcast of a soccer game!

Cash on delivery cocktail is too sweet and not recommended. The place is crowded and noisy, with a lot of people standing and drinking. It's not very relaxing, more suited for younger crowds than adults.
