In front of DD House in Umeda, there is a standing bar called "Naniwa Hitokuchi Gyoza Cha Cha Cha." I was feeling tired because it's a standing bar, but then I found they have fixed seats where you can sit down. The place has around 10 seats at a counter shaped like the letter "C." The "casual set" costs 1310 yen including tax, which includes a PayPay Super Dry beer, a serving of gyoza (2 pieces), and another dish. It was my first beer in a while and it was so refreshing! The quail egg simmered in soy sauce was delicious, a great treat for egg lovers. The gyoza pieces were a bit small, but they were tasty when eaten as they are. They tasted even better when dipped in the vinegar soy sauce provided on the table. Eating the gyoza made the beer go down smoothly. The size of the gyoza pieces was just right, and overall, it was a satisfying meal. When it came time to pay, they even served a complimentary soup made from clam broth, which was delicious. I occasionally visit this restaurant, which I have been familiar with since my student days, including its affiliated stores. I usually start with a set meal of bean sprouts and beer! The chicken wing dumplings are popular among young people. They are greasy and have a strong flavor. The green pepper mayo, which is a substitute for the dumplings, is not as spicy as I expected. I also tried the mackerel potato salad, which was a good side dish. But in the end, I still think the classic fried noodles are the best.

The ginger dumplings are refreshing and delicious! The boiled dumplings are slippery and good! The soup dumplings had a quite rich soup! The bean sprout namul is a great side dish for drinks! Osaka is currently in the midst of a state of emergency. Despite this, I had to go on a business trip to Osaka. It's unavoidable due to work. I had dinner with an acquaintance at night. They have been working from home, so I was relieved. We wandered around near Umeda Station looking for a place to eat, but many restaurants were already closed. Finally, we found this place. The gyoza is their specialty, and the bite-sized gyoza was quite recommended. We ordered two servings, and the size and ease of eating one bite at a time made it easy to keep going. We ordered another plate and also ordered three to four other dishes. As we were enjoying our meal, it was already 7:00 pm, which was the last order for drinks. By 7:30 pm, it was already the last order for food. It felt a bit unsatisfying, but I appreciate that they are complying with the shortened business hours. This is my nth time at this restaurant! It always seems busy with only counter seats. I ordered the Chao Chao Salad, Chao Chao Dumplings, Avocado Wasabi Mayo, Spicy Squid Dumplings, and Cheese Dumplings ＼(^o^)／ The salad has garlic chips in it, which gives off a great aroma... I'm ready to eat some dumplings now! The avocado and squid are perfect as drinking snacks ^_^ They are cheap and just the right size to nibble on! The Chao Chao Dumplings have wings and are quite small, but the crispy wings are delicious and I could eat them non-stop. The Spicy Squid Dumplings have a spicy kick and are juicy and tasty. But the most delicious one was the Cheese Dumplings! I couldn't resist even though they are high in calories (^^;; They are covered in plenty of melty cheese and are the type of dumplings that girls would love! Well, I'm sure everyone would love them☆ There are also many other types of dumplings on the menu, so it's a place where you'll want to try different ones. I definitely want to visit again!

Moved from Tennoji to Umeda station for a quick drink at 2:15 pm. Wondering if there's any open restaurant around. The standing bar in Shin Umeda Food Street is still crowded as usual, so I walked around and found "Chao Chao" open. Lucky that they open from 2 pm on Sundays and holidays. I decided to go in without hesitation. I ordered the casual set for 1200 yen excluding tax, which includes two dumplings and one dish from four choices (homemade spicy pickled cucumbers) and a draft beer. The cost performance is not said to be great, but it's a good set for beginners. The draft beer is 450 yen, not cheap, and the sours and highballs are also available. Since they have a variety of dumplings, I ordered the dumpling assortment of five types for 750 yen: 1. Fresh prawn dumpling, 2. Vegetable dumpling with rice flour, 3. Curry dumpling, 4. Kujo green onion dumpling, 5. Black pork dumpling.

It has a small L-shaped counter with only 14 seats, making it one of the more intimate locations of Chao Chao Gyoza. I love the cozy atmosphere created by its compact size. I recommend starting with the "Casual Set (1200 yen)" which includes a medium-sized beer, one serving of Chao Chao Gyoza, and a choice of one small side dish from four options. The beer served is Asahi Super Dry. The gyoza has a crispy skin filled with a flavorful meat and cabbage mixture, making it easy to eat and quite delicious. You can enjoy it with miso sauce or vinegar soy sauce. They offer a variety of gyoza flavors, but my recent favorite is the "Egg Yolk Cheese Gyoza (480 yen)" which has a runny egg yolk filling topped with melted cheese and a sweet and savory sauce. It's surprisingly tasty and addictive. Aside from gyoza, I also recommend trying the "Katsuobushi Warayaki Bukkake Shio Ponzu (680 yen)" which is a delicious dish of bonito flakes served with salt and ponzu sauce. It's unexpected to find such a tasty fish dish at a gyoza restaurant, but it's surprisingly good. The variety of oily dishes, including gyoza, somehow makes the overall experience light and enjoyable. Overall, Chao Chao Gyoza is a great place for a casual and delicious meal, whether as a first stop or a second stop of the night. I definitely plan on revisiting soon.

The gyoza at Chao Chao Gyoza is crispy and they offer a variety of flavors like shrimp and chicken with green onion salt. They also have a wide selection of other appetizers. I sometimes get takeout and enjoy it at home, but eating in the restaurant is always the best. On a side note, the takoyaki next door is also delicious.

I used a free gyoza coupon that my colleague had and we went for a quick drink after work! The place was cheap, perfect for a quick drink, and had delicious food. My colleague suggested, "Let's go because I have a free gyoza coupon!" It was right in front of the DD House! We managed to get seats just in time as it was almost full on a Wednesday around 9 pm. They had various types of gyoza! We tried Chao Chao Gyoza, Chicken Wing Gyoza, Shrimp Gyoza, Egg Yolk Cheese Gyoza, and Negi Mame Gyoza with Sriracha Sauce. My favorite was the Egg Yolk Cheese Gyoza! It was so creamy without any additional sauce. It was a new taste for me and I want to try it again. There are many gyoza restaurants these days, and Chao Chao is popular among female customers. It's cheap, has many branches, and is convenient to visit anytime. We had two drinks each for only 2,000 yen! Super cheap. I want to go again! Thank you for the meal!
