I visited this restaurant, which has a high reputation for local sushi, because I wanted to eat sushi. The assortment of 5 types of sashimi for 1200 yen is cheap. The white fish has a good texture, but the others are average. The combination of a bottled beer and a sashimi assortment is 1750 yen, so I think the cost performance is good.

I visited this restaurant for lunch before it closed due to the pandemic, after a long time, about 2 years. It is great for entertaining clients as they have private rooms. I had a beer and lager, along with fresh and delicious dishes like sashimi of horse mackerel and edamame. The live squid tank ensures the freshness of the seafood. The crispy tempura squid was a highlight. The highball was also good. The restaurant was lively and full of customers. I was very satisfied with the squid dishes. Thank you for the meal. I hope they reopen soon.

I visited this restaurant for lunch. I had been curious about it for a while. I was expecting the fish to be delicious... The interior of the restaurant had raised seating on the left side (private rooms) and regular tables on the right side. The partitions made it so you didn't have to worry about others watching you. The second floor had tatami seating for banquet lunches at 1,000 yen. I ordered chicken cutlet and regular sashimi which included small yellowtail, sardines, and striped jack. As expected, the fish was delicious, just like the name of the restaurant, "Gyoshimura" suggests (laughs). The chawanmushi (savory egg custard) was delicious with ginkgo nuts. The miso soup was good too. The Satsuma-age (deep-fried fish cake) could have been heated up a bit (laughs). And for dessert... it was a nice surprise (laughs). I was full and satisfied. Next time, I'll come for dinner. Thank you for the meal.

The other day, I enjoyed a drive to Saga by car (^O^). I took a sightseeing boat to refresh myself (#^.^#) and got so caught up in having fun that I forgot to eat the famous squid from Saga. As I reluctantly drove back, I spotted a fisherman's village! I quickly rushed into the shop (゜_゜>) Inside, there were spacious table seats and tatami mat seats, creating a relaxing atmosphere for dining. I ordered the classic squid set meal (^o^)丿, which was plentiful in volume and tasted amazing!! I ate half of the squid as sashimi and the rest was made into tempura. Dessert was included, so I left satisfied. In addition to squid, you can also enjoy delicious seafood dishes (the photo shows sashimi of turban shell), so please give it a try.

After a long time, I decided to spend Saturday afternoon in Omuta and wanted to have some seafood, so I stopped by this restaurant. They have table seats as well as sunken kotatsu seats, both of which are almost like private rooms with screens and sliding doors. You can enjoy your meal leisurely. This time, we were seated in the sunken kotatsu area since we had children with us. Lunch used to be 1000 yen before, but now it's 1300 yen due to the times. You can choose two main dishes from 20 items, and I chose sashimi and fried horse mackerel. The menu seems to be the same as before. My companions chose fried horse mackerel with chicken nanban, chicken nanban with tuna cutlet. The clear soup, chawanmushi, and small side dishes were all lightly seasoned, which suited my taste perfectly. The grandchildren enjoyed their zaru udon, saying it was delicious. The dessert, melon, was cut into generous slices, and the grandkids who love melon were all smiles.

2016 is coming to an end soon. I had heard about this place before but never managed to make a reservation until now. This was my first time visiting. It was a combination of a 20th birthday celebration and a year-end party at my workplace. For 4000 yen, we had a 2-hour all-you-can-drink seafood hot pot course. I thought it was a fish-focused restaurant, but they also had motsu nabe (offal hot pot). Here's a brief overview of the meal: - Sashimi platter: Included sea bream, salmon, bonito tataki, and maybe yellowtail. It was a safe and standard assortment. - Salad: The standout was lotus root, but it didn't leave a strong impression. - Seafood hot pot: Looked as expected. Finished with rice and egg to make ochazuke. - Surprisingly, they also served skewers and yakitori. It was nice to have both fish and meat options. - Dessert was delicious too. Overall, it was a great dining experience. It's no wonder this place is so popular. PS: I almost forgot. This was a celebration for a young colleague who is seen as a rising star at our workplace. It was their 20th birthday. I'm not too far behind, with my third coming-of-age ceremony just around the corner.

On August 20, 2014, when I visited Tee 29, they were closed, so I went to Gyoshimura instead. I arrived at 5:00 and asked the waitress if they had any rice dishes available. She said they had set meals, so I ordered the sashimi set meal for 1350 yen and was seated at the counter. While waiting for my meal, I was served an appetizer. The set meal included meat-wrapped rolled omelet, stir-fried bean sprouts, and tempura. The sashimi consisted of five types, but they were quite small. If you only want to have a meal, it seems like a good deal to come for lunch. Thank you for the meal.

I went to lunch with my mother and grandmother. The Omuta Ginza shopping street... has really declined, with only a few shops still open. "Gyoshimura" is located just across the railroad tracks at the entrance of the shopping street. There is a parking lot nearby with a big sign, making it easy to find. Surprisingly, the restaurant is very clean and has been standing for only about 2 years. I was expecting a more old-fashioned izakaya vibe from the name, but it was beautiful! And all private rooms! The lunch is a bit on the pricier side at 950 yen, but you get to choose 2 main dishes, which is fun. The menu is extensive, making it hard to choose just 2 items. My mother and I chose the grilled beef and fried tofu with mushroom sauce. My grandmother chose the grilled beef and sashimi. When the lunch was served, I thought, "This is a hit." The presentation was beautiful and tasteful! In addition to the 2 main dishes, it came with miso soup, rice, pickles, a small dish (kinpira gobou), and chawanmushi. The food was delicious, especially the fried tofu! It was very satisfying and the dessert, a coffee-flavored milk crepe, was a dream come true for me. We all shouted "It was delicious!" loudly as we left the restaurant. We will definitely go back! Next time, I'll try a different main dish.

Today, my stomach feels good and my appetite is in full swing. Although it's like this all year round... (bitter smile) So, starting today, I will be working in the afternoon. Oh no~ (>_<) I left home early and patrolled from Shin-Sakae to Honmachi. When passing by the so-called Ginza Street, I noticed several lunch banners fluttering in the wind. I stopped my car on the road, ran to the entrance of a restaurant, but it seemed like they weren't open yet. However, I saw the menu board outside and thought, ¥950 seems a bit extravagant. But it looks delicious, so I decided to go for it! I immediately returned to my car, made a U-turn, parked in the parking lot behind the restaurant, and went back to the entrance. The place used to be a historic fish cake shop, and the building has a very retro feel. *If you want to know more, please search it up. The restaurant opened at 11 a.m., and as soon as the door opened, I heard a loud voice saying, "Welcome~" A young lady, maybe a staff member, guided me to a table near the entrance. Although it's an izakaya, they also serve lunch, and they are open all year round without a break. Impressive! For lunch, you can choose two dishes from a selection of 10 on a small blackboard-like board. I asked the lady which dishes were the most popular, and she recommended the "simmered yellowtail collar" and "sirloin grilled meat." So, I ordered those. The dishes arrived after a 10-minute wait. The room was lit up, and the dishes were like spotlights. The presentation looked high-quality. The dishes included: - Simmered yellowtail collar - Grilled sirloin meat - Side dish: simmered potatoes and squid - Steamed egg custard - Miso soup - Dessert: coffee mousse or something similar - Pickles I tried the simmered yellowtail collar first, and it was delicious! The fried shredded burdock on top was crispy and added a nice texture. The yellowtail was tender and flavorful, and the broth was just right in terms of flavor. It was so good that I ended up finishing all the rice. I couldn't resist asking for a second serving of rice, which was free. Next, I tried the grilled sirloin meat, which had a unique flavor but was tender and tasty. It was a bit hard to fully appreciate the taste after the flavorful yellowtail collar, so I felt like I should have tried the meat first. The side dish of simmered potatoes and squid was lightly seasoned but delicious, and the steamed egg custard was smooth and flavorful. The rice was shiny and tasty. It was a delicious lunch that you can find if you look for hidden gems on food review websites. (*^^*) Thank you for the meal. Now, off to work! ⤵

You can choose 2 items for lunch, and you can get rice refills, so it's great for big eaters. It's delicious.
