Universal City, near the entrance of USJ, is a Sushiro. #Sushiro with prices starting from 132 yen and super crowded #Taste seems to be lacking... #The premium items were good
■■■ Shop ■■■
It seems that a Sushiro has opened in Universal City. I went to USJ and decided to make a reservation as I was about to leave. Around 6 pm on Saturday, there was a 1-hour wait, but I was skipped after about 40 minutes of waiting, and then I waited for about 25 minutes after checking in. Even at 7 pm, it was full, with a wait time of 70 minutes, making it difficult to get in... It seems like they are targeting foreigners, but with this crowd, the high waiting time after checking in is quite a hurdle. Inside, it's just a regular Sushiro, right? But the prices are high! Starting from a minimum of 132 yen, with the main price range at 187 yen. Quite expensive, isn't it?
■■■ Food ■■■
▼Sushi (as of January 22)
The rice is firm, with a strange chewiness. The fish, the premium ones were decent... The salmon was mediocre.
○Great deal!
Buri Toro (Yellowtail Belly) 187 yen: It's rich and flavorful, with a good thickness.
Shime Iwashi (Marinated Sardine) 132 yen: Unique aroma and tasty.
Botan Ebi (Botan Shrimp) 132 yen: Also 1 piece... but the taste is good. Delicious with the fried head!
○Okay
Maguro (Tuna) 132 yen: Affordable.
Buri Toro Rare Shabu (Yellowtail Belly Rare Shabu) 187 yen: Half cooked, the shabu flavor comes out nicely. It's expensive but quite tasty.
Aji (Horse Mackerel) 132 yen: Light but decently tasty. It's nice that it's affordable.
Nama Sanma (Raw Pacific Saury) 132 yen: Average aroma and taste. Cheap at 132 yen.
Kani Fumi Salad (Crab-Flavored Salad) 132 yen: Looks odd but tastes decent. This is the only thing that stood out as a closer.
○Not so great...
Nama King Salmon (Raw King Salmon) 132 yen: Just 1 piece! Not too fatty, and with just 1 piece, it doesn't feel like a good deal...
Salmon 132 yen: Cold and not too fatty, so it's mediocre. The cutting is also sloppy. It's kind of expensive, right? Of course, I understand the cost of the land, but the cost performance doesn't seem to match...
...So, even though I don't usually eat ramen, I decided to try it.
▼Authentic Hot and Sour Soup Noodles 385 yen
First... where's the soup? The taste... not good... It's like they just added sourness and thickness to a sauce, with only the aroma of shiitake mushrooms and green onions... That doesn't sound delicious.
▼New Rich Shrimp Miso Wonton Noodles 385 yen
The soup has the expected shrimp aroma! The shrimp miso is spicy and delicious. There's a lot of shell left over, but I guess that's how they can achieve this aroma at a low cost. The noodles are too soft. Not good.
■■■ Conclusion ■■■
By the way, the ordered items are delivered on a separate lane, and when they arrive, they make a loud noise! The miso soup and ramen broth spill a lot! The lids are sealed tightly, but the plates are dripping (laughs). The sushi, in terms of taste and price, was unsatisfactory... Considering this crowd, it's a negative experience. I got full, but the meal at Sushiro, a brand known for its affordability, ended up feeling like a less satisfying meal.
