I usually go for milk flavors, but I was intrigued by the limited edition Calpis flavor here, so I chose that. The single scoop cost 440 yen. The Calpis flavor was subtle, but refreshing. Given the location, I think this gelato will be popular here.

Delicious gelato. I forgot the names of the flavors, but one was a rice flavor. It cost 550 yen. There were many flavors to choose from, and I wish I had chosen a triple scoop. The sorbet in the waffle cup was refreshing. The rice gelato had a unique texture with bits of rice in it, and the rice flavor was strong and tasty. It's no wonder this place is popular. I was very satisfied. The neighboring shop also caught my eye.

I visited Asaichi in Atsuta on May 28, 2023, and bought scallops and octopus before coming to the Michi-no-Eki. I had my usual gelato for a break. I purchased the limited flavor at the Atsuta store: "Atsuta Sunset (single) (440 yen) - mango & raspberry sorbet" and "Chocolate Marble (440 yen)". I will try them in the store. "Atsuta Sunset" has a nice balance of mango and raspberry flavors. The chocolate flavor is nothing special. Overall, there is nothing particularly exceptional in terms of taste, but they have limited flavors and it's nice to stop by and enjoy them while looking at the sea.

Recently, I noticed a commercial for LicoLico and decided to visit their shop located on the 2nd floor of Atsuta Michi no Eki. I ordered the following items: - Kinako mochi made with black Kurosaneshi village rice - Atsuta no Yuhi (double scoop of mango and raspberry sorbet) The kinako mochi had a strong kinako flavor, which was delightful for kinako lovers. The real mochi inside the gelato surprisingly complemented the flavor well. The Atsuta no Yuhi had a sweet and sour taste with a unique twist. Although I ordered a double scoop, the portion was small and I finished it quickly. Both flavors were delicious.

I visited Atsuta store for the second time, but this photo is from last year. The variety changes every year, so it never gets boring. I found the fruit flavors to be delicious. Milk was refreshing, while Lover's Sanctuary had a sweet and sour taste with white chocolate colored with aronia. Received a stamp at the Michi-no-Eki Ishikari "I-Road Atsuta". In 2021, Hokkaido is experiencing record-breaking heat during the summer. On this day, the temperature was already 29 degrees at 10 o'clock, with the heat reflecting off the asphalt making it feel like 34 degrees. On days like this, it's time for gelato! I purchased a double scoop (490 yen) from the ticket machine. There were 10 flavors of gelato displayed in the showcase. I chose "Atsuta Blue" with its beautiful blue color and refreshing Calpis flavor. It was deliciously chewy! I also tried the limited-time "corn" flavor, which tasted just like sweet corn, with even bits of corn husk in it! As a big fan of corn, I really enjoyed it. This time, I chose the Sakura Berry flavor and the Atsuta Blue flavor in a double scoop, and the blue and pink colors look nice together. Visited Atada Road Station on April 5, 2021. I have been here many times but tried the chocolate for the first time. Got the Milk Chocolate and Lover's Sanctuary combo for 490 yen. The Milk Chocolate is very delicious. Lover's Sanctuary is probably Aronia and White Chocolate Cookie. The right amount of acidity is nice. Both are satisfying. My wife ordered the Rich Matcha and Atada Sunset. The matcha is indeed rich. Atada Sunset is mango and raspberry sherbet. It's sour (laughs).

Rikoriko at Aiload Hatta. The Triple 590 yen Hatta limited edition caught my eye, but "Suzu Akane" strawberry milk with black Kurochigashi kinako mochi and Manasu sorbet (Hatta limited edition) had a dark color. The taste is rich! It also has mochi for a satisfying texture. The Manasu sorbet is made with peach and rosehip, but it has a strong acidity from the peach! Refreshing! The strawberry milk couldn't compete with the others (laughs)

I like visiting roadside stations. I dislike traffic jams and crowds. I remember the security guards holding a sign saying "60-minute wait" when the station first opened on the national highway. It's been a while since then, and the beach season is coming to an end, so I decided to go back. In early September, on a weekday, the roadside station itself was quiet. I leisurely looked at the local vegetables and went upstairs to find a gelato shop. They only offer cups, no cones or waffles. So, I decided to be a little greedy and ordered a double scoop of their limited flavors: "Atsuta Blue" and "100-year Apple Sorbet" for 490 yen (tax included). I bought it from a vending machine. The contrast of these two colors looks beautiful and summery. Atsuta Blue is refreshing in color but sweet and makes my throat dry. The apple sorbet is refreshing, and the combination seems to work well. I enjoyed looking at the quiet, unpopular sea and bought some battera from the neighboring shop on the way back. In early August on a Sunday, I headed to Ohto for the fourth time with the goal of trying Uni Don, but unfortunately, I was disappointed once again. So, I ended up having Ohto Ramen for the second time this year, but my disappointed heart was not healed... Oh, I had put on my uni-colored clothes and went there all pumped up (*´Д｀). While taking a restroom break, I decided to soothe my broken heart by eating something sweet and cold at this place inside the Michi-no-Eki. It seems that there are several Ricorico Gelato Shops in Hokkaido besides Ohto. I purchased a Gelato Double ticket (490 yen) from the ticket machine, handed it to the staff, and asked for two flavors. - Ohto Sunset (Ohto limited flavor): Mango & Raspberry Sherbet, a refreshing balance of sweetness and acidity, very refreshing. - Corny! Exactly tastes like corn, initially I honestly thought "Is it mediocre...?" but surprisingly, it's delicious. Smooth milk cream with the natural sweetness of corn. The corn skin hitting the mouth is a bit noticeable, but it's a unique flavor of Hokkaido and might be good (`･ω･´)b. Two weeks later, on the way back from visiting my husband's family grave, it was hot again, so I ate it again while taking a restroom break (lol). - Ohto Blue (Ohto limited flavor): Ohto Blue is a Calpis flavored gelato. The blue part representing the sea tastes like Blue Hawaii (?) which is sweet, but the white part representing waves is a refreshing sorbet with acidity. - Almond Mango: The mango flavor is slightly weak, but the almond flavor is strong. The texture is smooth and I like this flavor. Yes! The combination of refreshing sorbet and smooth cream type is a nice choice (^^♪. The shop is located in a corner like a food court, and the prime seats on the observation deck overlooking the sea from the window are almost always occupied. It's a bit of an unsettling place to eat, but if the benches outside are available, you may be able to eat outside. It seems like it would melt quickly in the heat though... The flavors and color schemes that are particular to Ohto and Hokkaido show effort, and both times I could enjoy a delicious and cool treat. It was satisfying (*^^*) Thank you for the meal♪

There were two customers ahead of us, who my companion mentioned had eaten sweet shrimp rice bowls at a sushi restaurant in Masumō. It seems everyone's actions are similar after all. We chose a double cup, and my companion made the flavor selection. There were limited edition flavors available, which I found amusing. After careful consideration, we decided on "Atsuta Blue" (Calpis flavor) and "Hamanasu Sorbet" (peach and rosehip sherbet). We took photos, but my companion suggested that the sea would make a nice background, so we followed suit. The colors were vibrant and complemented the sea well. Next, we headed to a café to enjoy the gelato in the cool air-conditioned car. The gelato had a nice, smooth texture and a refreshing taste. Atsuta Blue had a pleasant acidity from the Calpis flavor, while Hamanasu had a gentle, well-balanced flavor with a subtle peach and rose undertone. When asked which one we preferred, I chose Blue, and my companion chose Red. It was a rare occurrence for us to have different opinions. I quickly added, "Blue has a good contrast, but Red is more delicious to eat," making a slight adjustment. It seems like a power dynamic is forming between us, or maybe I'm just indecisive. It's not a big deal since we each have our own preferences, but it's surprisingly enjoyable. Oh, and it seems I have a bold yet unexpectedly reserved personality... I knew that, but it's interesting to see it in action.
