I have visited a few times. Today, my favorite staff was not there. The grilled dishes were as delicious as ever! I had the large sardine and golden sea bream. I almost forgot to take photos. I also had the peach and prosciutto dish and some sashimi. Overall, it's a nice restaurant. I will visit again someday.

Finally made it to "Chinza Takibiya" in Imaizumi, reserved a counter seat. Started with a sashimi assortment for 770 yen, which includes seared bonito that is flambeed right in front of you. Grilled fish options were red bream for 2500 yen and a fatty tuna sardine for 740 yen - the sardine was a luxurious treat. The red bream had crispy skin from being grilled like matsukasa-yaki, and it was incredibly delicious. Also ordered a meat-wrapped shrimp fry for 418 yen, marinated sweet shrimp for 717 yen, and a special potato salad for 528 yen, along with other dishes. Finished off with freshly cooked silver shari sushi in a clay pot for 275 yen per cup, ordered ikura (salmon roe) for 550 yen as a double order. Despite getting quite full, there was a great selection of my favorite Japanese sake, so I left very satisfied! Thank you for the feast!

The staff kindly offered me another drink saying, "Would you like another drink?" It's been a while since I heard that phrase! The cost performance was so-so, but overall it was delicious! I visited the restaurant and found that the interior has a counter seating around the famous grill and regular table seating. Groups of three or more are seated at the tables. The lunch menu includes limited options like Uni and ikura bowl (sold out), mixed fry set meal, grilled mackerel set meal, and grilled horse mackerel set meal (each for 900 yen). I ordered the grilled mackerel set meal, which came with three small side dishes: plum somen, grated tofu with bonito flakes, and deep-fried taro. These small dishes were a nice touch for women. The main dish, the grilled mackerel, took a bit of time to arrive due to the crowd, but when it did, the plate was handed over with a bit of hot oil spilling on my fingers, causing me to exclaim in surprise. The staff reacted with a surprised expression as well. The miso soup and rice were brought over by another staff member. The miso soup had generous ingredients, which was nice. Overall, considering the quality and quantity of the meal for under 1000 yen, it seems like the restaurant is making an effort.

The chicken wings were also appetizing. The extra-large horse mackerel was indeed huge and had a juicy flesh. The grated daikon radish was plentiful and the ginger miso added a nice touch. The miso soup was packed with burdock, carrot, and radish. I unintentionally left some rice as I forgot to ask for a smaller portion. Overall, the set was worth the price with the variety of side dishes and the delicious main dish. It was a lucky find and I would recommend it. The restaurant is primarily open for dinner, but they are planning to offer lunch until the situation with COVID-19 improves. However, it's best to confirm with the restaurant before visiting as the situation may change.

This time, I visited Takibiya located at 1-18-1 Imaizumi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. I was wandering around Imaizumi area and decided to drop in without a reservation. The restaurant was almost full but I just managed to get a seat. I started with a toast with a glass of draft beer, which had a lovely message on it. I ordered a sashimi platter, yuzu squid mentaiko, salted tsukune, and grilled mackerel. The restaurant has an open kitchen with a counter and some table seats around. The staff were energetic and attentive. The sashimi platter came with straw-grilled fish, even though it was listed as a three-piece set, it actually had five pieces as a service. The freshness was great and I enjoyed it. The yuzu mentaiko was a nice appetizer. The mackerel and tsukune took some time to cook but were delicious. I also ordered a refillable lemon sour. The grilled mackerel was big and satisfying, with a crispy skin. The tsukune was juicy and tasty. Due to time restrictions at the table, I couldn't order much more, but I will make a reservation next time. Thank you for the meal.

Despite normally only being open for dinner, they were offering three special lunch menu items due to COVID-19 restrictions. I decided to go inside and try their "Ebi-Ten Tendon" dish. The restaurant, known as "Takibiya," seemed to specialize in grilled fish and sake. The atmosphere was cozy, with counter seats, table seats, and even a second-floor tatami area. The Ebi-Ten Tendon was delicious, with plump shrimp and a flavorful tempura sauce. The staff were friendly and provided great hospitality throughout. I found this place while wandering around the residential area of Yakuin!!! So I decided to go in and check it out!!! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was really nice, with even the little details like the straw grilling being well done. When I ordered the potato salad, the staff members were all lively and energetic, making the experience even more enjoyable!!! I got caught up in the fun atmosphere too!!! Definitely give it a try!!!

While there were still few customers, I had the chance to enjoy a delicious meal at a popular table. Even though I wasn't very hungry for my second stop, the food was so tasty that I ended up eating quite a bit. I couldn't drink much alcohol, but I thought about how I wanted to have this for lunch, or even breakfast. The appetizer was a delicious homemade ginger miso soup with konjac from Hachioji. The main dish was sweet shrimp straw-grilled with a salt sauce of kabosu, potato salad, poached egg, and cheese. Each menu item was carefully crafted and enjoyable. The restaurant started to fill up gradually. I will definitely come back! The sweet shrimp was delicious!
