This is an elegant Japanese restaurant in Haruyoshi. My high school classmate made a reservation for 7 of us to have a reunion. Some of us hadn't seen each other in 30 years, so there were lots of nostalgic stories shared. The restaurant is new and has a sophisticated feel with its white wooden interior. We had the 5000 yen course menu that day, and each dish was beautifully presented in exquisite dishes. The flavors were delicious as well. The warm hospitality from the female owner and staff added to the overall classy atmosphere of the restaurant. Thanks to them, it was a wonderful reunion.

It was an elegant restaurant where the cheese appetizer was delicious. We had a private room, but the counter was also full. All the dishes were carefully prepared, and some items were sold out. The sashimi was fresh and delicious, so we ordered a lot and ended up eating so quickly that we forgot to take photos.

This is my first visit to an izakaya in Haruyoshi. I ordered a course menu. For the finale of the course, Thai ikura kamameshi (rice cooked in an iron pot) was served! It was very delicious, but I remember the seasoning being a bit strong. The seasoning of the other dishes didn't bother me as much.

This time, I went to Hakata Hisago located at 3-13-23 Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. I was in the mood for Japanese food, so I decided to stroll around the Haruyoshi area. I spotted a cozy little restaurant in a narrow alley near the Kokutai-doro road. I saw an empty counter through the curtain, so I decided to give it a try. The owner, a lady in a kimono, warmly welcomed me inside. The restaurant had a bright and traditional Japanese atmosphere with an open kitchen. I started with a toast with a glass of draft beer and enjoyed the appetizers - three kinds of small dishes served on a wooden frame, including namako vinegar, hoozuki, and another one. The fully ripened hoozuki was particularly sweet and delicious. Then, I looked at the menu and decided to try the sashimi platter with three kinds of fish for 1650 yen. The beautifully arranged platter included sawara, squid, whale bacon, and scallops. As I enjoyed the sashimi, I watched the chefs preparing thick slices of fish for searing, which turned out to be delicious sawara. I couldn't resist and ordered more. The sawara had a perfect balance of fat and tender meat, making it a great companion for drinks. For snacks, I tried the homemade firefly squid marinated in seawater and the charcoal-grilled fillet of Nagasaki Iki beef for 2500 yen per 100g (approximately 180g). The beef fillet was cooked rare with a flavorful salt seasoning, and a dab of wasabi was the perfect accompaniment. I ended the meal with a comforting miso soup with aosa seaweed. I had a delicious and satisfying meal. Thank you for the feast.

The other day, I was taken to a restaurant by a senior colleague who has been there multiple times. I left the food selection to my senior colleague. The photo shows yellowtail sashimi, which was delicious with a good amount of fat. We tried various other dishes, all of which had elegant seasoning and were very good. The restaurant had a sophisticated atmosphere suitable for adults, with just the right amount of luxury. It was a great dining experience. I would love to visit this restaurant again.

This is a lovely Japanese restaurant in Haruyoshi, in the dining zone of Jimoti. I heard it was a Japanese restaurant, but they also have dishes like fried chicken and hamburger, which was surprising. The cheese tofu that comes as an appetizer is delicious. The head chef is the one cooking, with other staff members providing support. The counter seats have a casual atmosphere, perfect for solo diners. The homemade karasumi (bottarga) is a winter delicacy here. It's soft and flavorful. The ginger tempura is different from what I had in Osaka, and it's delicious. The salt is from the Goto Islands, and I also got some salt from Ishikawa prefecture, which was not too salty. The steamed dish with Canada matsutake mushroom was fragrant. The Japanese-style hamburger was surprisingly good, and the conger eel was tender and not spicy. The head chef is very friendly. It's a popular spot! Thank you for the delicious meal!

Recently, when it comes to Japanese food, I often choose this place or a place in Nogaisa. There are no disappointments and it feels safe. As I get older, my appetite has decreased, so I value each meal more and become more conservative. I want to relax and enjoy my meals, so I am grateful for the familiar chef's restaurant. Today, I enjoyed some huge oysters from Oita. They were creamy and rich, a real treat. I also enjoyed various side dishes, and finished with corn rice cooked in a clay pot, taking a bite and saving the rest for breakfast tomorrow. I am satisfied once again today, thank you for the feast.

The owner, who trained in Kyoto, creates a Hakata-style traditional Japanese restaurant. I came here because a certain Japanese wine salesperson I met in Nagoya was visiting Fukuoka. The variety of alcohol is abundant, especially the Japanese wine selection. The delicate dishes pair wonderfully with Japanese wine, making it easy to drink. Every dish, utilizing seasonal Kyoto dashi and Hakata ingredients, is delicious. I am grateful to have discovered this wonderful restaurant today. Thank you for the meal.

The saury and homemade cheese were especially delicious. The restaurant was stylish and cozy, and even though we were a group of 8 and got a bit loud, the service was very friendly. We will be more mindful next time. Will definitely go back!

I went on a business trip to Fukuoka. The last business dinner of the year in Fukuoka was reserved online in advance. I made a reservation for a table seat only. The atmosphere inside the restaurant was very nice. We started with a draft beer. From the second drink, we switched to Chita Highball. The sesame mackerel and horse sashimi were delicious. The shirako grilled dish was irresistible. I ended up consuming a lot of purines with the karasumi and mentaiko, but I was satisfied.

Today, I went on a patrol in Haruyoshi and discovered a small shop in a back alley that I had never been to before. The shop was small but clean, and had a nice atmosphere with many customers. The owner and a young person were busy running the place. I managed to slip into a couple of empty seats at the counter and ordered a beer. The appetizers that were brought out had a Japanese feel to them. It was clear that this place was a small traditional Japanese restaurant. The careful work showed that they had clearly trained well. Each dish that was served afterwards was beautiful and delicious. It became a place that I definitely want to visit again.

This is a revisit. After returning from Kanazawa trip, it's already 9:30 pm. I don't know any good place to eat delicious food at this time, so I decided to go to this place where you can enjoy authentic and delicious Japanese cuisine. The highlight here is the dishes with rich broth. It's really delightful to enjoy dishes with such high-quality broth at this price. First, we had the appetizers. They were amazing. Eggplant soaked in broth, nanban, and homemade cheese. The cheese slowly releases a lingering umami taste. Then we had a small pot of soft-shelled turtle. The broth in this is excellent. It warms up your body and makes you happy. Next, we had chilled winter melon and thick shiitake mushrooms with a sweet sauce. This was fantastic. It's a dish with a beautiful broth (a bit stronger than Kyoto style, but still clean and beautiful, it's hard to explain, but it's a beautiful broth). It's very delicious. You can tell just by looking at it, right? It's shiny and beautiful. Delicious. Other dishes were also very tasty, but it's clear that they excel in dishes with rich broth! It's rare to find a place like this where you can casually enjoy high-quality Japanese cuisine. When you visit Fukuoka, this should be your top choice, Sake Raku-ya Hisago. I got the recommendation for this place from Miyagaya, a Miyazaki yakiniku restaurant that I truly respect. Even though the restaurant doesn't have high ratings on Tabelog, if Miyagaya recommends it, it must be good. So, I decided to visit. The exterior of the restaurant looks nice. The interior is bright and lively in a good way. It also has a sense of cleanliness and is like an izakaya where you can enjoy Kyoto cuisine. I ordered a bit conservatively. Homemade sun-dried mullet roe... I love this sun-dried mullet roe. It's delicious. Homemade Satsuma-age... this is also simple and very tasty. Yurine-an... the sweet bean paste is amazingly delicious. The dango is also great. It's a shame that the bean paste had some unevenness. Dashimaki tamago... perfect dashimaki. The only downside was that the oil smell was a bit noticeable. The technique is amazing. Onion and raw wheat gluten miso gratin... maybe the miso was too strong. As a side dish for sake, cheese was served. This was divine. It's really delicious. Soft-shelled turtle tempura... no complaints. Perfect. The restaurant's culinary skills and flavors are excellent. It's a must-visit Kyoto cuisine izakaya. The service is also very good. The only thing I wish for is a bit more quantity of food. I'm sure it's a great place.

I went to "Sakushokuka Hakata Hisago" in Haruyoshi, Chuo-ku! The location is a bit hidden, just a short walk from Haruyoshi signal, turn left at the second intersection. The restaurant specializes in authentic Kyoto cuisine, with the owner having trained at a renowned establishment in Kyoto. The interior is cozy, with a beautiful counter, a table, and two sunken kotatsu seats. The ambiance is soft and inviting. We started with a sashimi platter and roasted duck. The dishes were beautifully presented and tasted exquisite. The prices range from around 600 to 1,000 yen. The Kyoto vegetables and pork in white miso dish was elegant and delicious. The menu also includes dishes like simmered conger eel with turnip and deep-fried tofu skin with white leek. The Japanese sake selection is impressive, with options from various regions. The total bill came to around 5,500 yen per person.

About a 10-minute walk from Tenjin in Fukuoka City's Chuo Ward, you'll find the Spring Yoshii area, close to Nishi-Nakasu, where there are many hidden adult-oriented dining establishments. One such place is "Sakushokuka Hakata Hisago" in Spring Yoshii, where I had a meal with friends. We ordered glasses or one-cup sizes of sake from the sake menu. When we ordered a cup, a cute sake pitcher appeared, showing the attention to detail at this establishment. The appetizers included simmered greens, pickled wakasagi (smelt fish), and a cream cheese dish. They were a perfect match for beer or sake. The restaurant has around 5-6 counter seats, 2 sunken kotatsu tables, and 1 regular table. It has a cozy and adult-like atmosphere. The menu consists mostly of dishes priced between 600-1000 yen, with many options in the 600-800 yen range. The recommended appetizers included a platter of three rare delicacies for 1480 yen, seared bonito for 700-800 yen, and sesame-flavored horse mackerel for 800 yen. The food was creative and delicious, with a good variety to choose from. Other dishes we enjoyed included healthy options like tofu spring rolls for 750 yen and fried white shrimp from Toyama for 820 yen. We also had deep-fried soft-shelled turtle (900 yen), black pork marinated in white miso (800 yen), and steamed red sea bream with white onion and sake (around 1100 yen). The meal ended with a complimentary tomato-flavored ice cream. Despite feeling full, we left the restaurant satisfied with the delicious food and cozy atmosphere.

A lovely Japanese restaurant tucked away in Haruyoshi's back alley. Once you step inside, you'll be greeted by a stylish atmosphere with a counter, tables, and tatami seating. The authentic Japanese dishes are carefully prepared with a focus on dashi, and they are delicious. While you might think all karaage tastes the same, the karaage here is outstanding. I couldn't help but order more. The seasonal dishes were also fantastic. The sake selection mainly features sake from Tohoku, and it changes depending on the ingredients they source. They kindly explained the sake to me, as I'm not very knowledgeable about it. This cozy restaurant seems perfect for business entertaining or a date.

I went with my friends. The restaurant wasn't very spacious, with sunken kotatsu tables in the back and regular tables and a counter in the front. There were hardly any partitions, all in the same space. They ordered a course menu for around 5000 yen, and the food was delicious, visually appealing, and filling. There was a selection of Japanese sake, typical of a Japanese restaurant, and we tried a variety, served in cute small cups. It was fun. There were also people dining alone at the counter, so it seems like a place where you can come alone. They also offer a la carte options.

There is a quiet alley a little ways from the Haruyoshi intersection, and hidden in it is a cozy little restaurant. This time, four of us, two men and two women, visited. My friend highly recommended this place, so I took some friends to check it out. We were served three types of appetizers on a plate as a starter. It made me crave some sake (laughs). We started with a small beer, then moved on to yuzu sake, and finally ended with sake. The food was all "The chef knows best when it comes to delicious food!" style, with fish, salad, and various other dishes served. Until the yuzu sake, we had a variety of dishes served, but when it came to sake, the chef made sure to bring out some special delicacies that paired well with it. The homemade thick karasumi went really well with the sake! We kept ordering more drinks and ended up quite tipsy (laughs). When we asked for the bill, they brought out a bite-sized portion of rice. This size was just right and delicious (laughs). I would love to go back for some more sake.
