I visited "Gyoza King" in Abiko. It was my first time visiting and I had been curious about it for a while. I had a bottle of beer (495 yen tax included), 7 pieces of pan-fried dumplings (418 yen tax included), which were small-sized dumplings handmade from scratch with a flavorful and slightly spicy filling. I also had chicken Karaage (638 yen tax included), which was juicy with a crispy coating. It was a large piece and reasonably priced. I tried the Kamikaze Mapo Tofu (748 yen tax included), which had a generous amount of Sichuan pepper and was a numbingly spicy Mapo Tofu that I enjoyed (I broke out in a sweat). Lastly, I had the Tohoku fried rice (638 yen tax included) with plenty of braised pork, and it was a delicious and impressive dish.

I made a reservation for Saturday at 6:00 pm and arrived at the restaurant. When I entered, I got a prime spot at the counter, then quickly got a table. This place is also very popular. First, I had a draft beer which was delicious! The chicken skin dumplings were small but packed with rich flavor, so tasty! The yakitori chicken was also flavorful and I couldn't resist ordering more. The ginger pork dumplings were amazing! Even without any sauce, the flavor of the dumplings was rich, similar to the ones at 551? Maybe it's just me. The three-color dumplings (celery, carrot, regular) were all incredibly delicious with a chewy skin that didn't need any sauce. The large pan-fried dumplings were also delicious. I also had the best bottle of beer, Asahi Super Dry! The regular dumplings were chewy and delicious, just like the pan-fried ones. The fried chicken was crispy and flavorful, really delicious. Finally, the spicy mapo tofu was incredible! I added some rice and my whole body tingled from the spiciness. Everything was so delicious! The only downside was that each dish took a bit of time to prepare after ordering, but it showed the care put into each dish. After eating and drinking so much, the bill for four people came to 12,000 yen with change left over. This is the best Chinese restaurant I've ever been to. I will definitely come back, although lunch might be difficult.

This is a serious dumpling restaurant. Both the boiled and pan-fried dumplings are exceptionally delicious. Despite being authentic Chinese flavors, the price is surprisingly cheap at 350 yen for a 7-piece serving. The dumplings are flavorful even without any sauce. I also ordered the Lu Rou Fan, a dish I often had in Taiwan, and it was amazing with tender meat, boiled egg, and sweet sauce. The mapo tofu and fried rice were also delicious. The staff at the restaurant were very friendly, and I look forward to visiting frequently.

The dumplings were small and lacked flavor, but the shrimp and chive dumplings we ordered as an extra were delicious.

Tonight's drinking snacks were from Abiko Gyoza-Oh! I had boiled and fried dumplings, potato salad with sansho pepper, homemade zha cai, sweet and sour pork with black vinegar, and five-ingredient rice porridge. The Chinese couple who run the place are very attentive. I'm full and satisfied! (^_^)

The restaurant is small so it fills up quickly. But the dumplings are really chewy and delicious! The pan-fried dumplings are also juicy and bursting with flavor!! Be careful not to burn yourself!

Various! A shop located about a 10-minute walk from the station in the middle of nowhere. I went there early in the opening hours, but it was almost full and the phone kept ringing non-stop. The boiled dumplings had thick skin but were chewy and delicious! The pan-fried dumplings were crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside, delicious! The mapo tofu was seasoned perfectly to my liking, delicious! It was quite spicy with a strong ginger flavor! I wanted to try more dishes, but I wasn't feeling well so I stuck with these! I think whatever you eat here will be delicious. A truly hidden gem. The husband seemed grumpy while cooking, and the wife was constantly moving around with a smile. I will definitely go back!

I went to Gyoza King in Sugimoto-cho. It's a popular place, so you have to time it right to get in. I heard a gentleman at a nearby bar say, "The gyoza at that place is really good," so I decided to check it out. The owner is a Chinese or Taiwanese lady with limited Japanese skills. I tried the A course, which came with homemade pickles, menma, and finished with tantanmen. It was quite good. I'd like to go back again. The gyoza didn't surpass my personal favorite at Hyotan in Kobe Sannomiya, but they were delicious with authentic hand-made skins.

I heard from a friend about this restaurant and decided to try it out. It was a big hit! I've already been there so many times, I've lost count. The dumplings are a bit on the smaller side, with a chewy skin. The boiled dumplings are especially delicious. I used to prefer pan-fried dumplings, but now... both are tasty! The crispy and chewy texture is just irresistible. They provide regular vinegar and soy sauce as dipping sauce for the dumplings, but I prefer to eat them with Chinese black vinegar. At first, I was surprised by the unique strong taste and aroma of the vinegar, and even as someone who eats anything, I was a bit hesitant. But now, I'm hooked and can't imagine eating dumplings without it! It's apparently good for your health too, so I eat it like I'm drinking the sauce (laughs). My husband and I easily finish the C course (25 pan-fried dumplings and 25 boiled dumplings each) together. (Note: we both have big appetites). The restaurant is run by a friendly couple, with the husband being half Japanese and the wife being Chinese. They get along so well. The other dishes besides the dumplings are delicious too. I may not have the exact names, but they include a potato salad with Sichuan pepper flavor, stir-fried leeks and eggs, stir-fried tomatoes, cucumber pickles, fried rice, and pickled vegetables, among others. We make sure to visit Gyoza-Oh! at least once a month.

From Abiko Station on the Midosuji Line, it's a bit of a walk through a residential area to find a hidden gem known as "Gyoza O," a Chinese restaurant run by a Chinese couple. Feeling hungry, I ordered a lot of dishes: "Potato salad with sesame flavor," "Cucumber pickles," "Napa cabbage kimchi," and "Homemade zasai pickles." The zasai pickles were particularly outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavors and textures. The signature dish here is the "water gyoza," which is juicy and delicious with a unique, thin yet chewy skin. The "pan-fried gyoza" was also top-notch, with a crispy texture and generous filling. The dishes were flavorful without being heavy, making them easy to enjoy without any sauce. Other dishes like "mapo tofu," "century egg tofu," "fried chicken," "black vinegar sweet and sour pork," "tomato and egg stir-fry," and "fried rice" were also delicious. Despite being located in a residential area, the restaurant was bustling with locals and even attracting customers from afar. The gyoza here is truly exceptional and worth a visit!

Gyoza King - Are people who laugh at Gyoza King scary!? Theme: Food and Drink One Sunday night, we finally carried out the planned "Gyoza Party" with a total of 13 people heading to Abiko's "Gyoza King." The members included Kazu from T's Kitchen, Melon-chan (formerly Mocchi), OH-san, May-chan, Nikoruka-san, Taicho-san, TF-chan, Kobu-chan and Yukorin from Bar Kobu, another Ken-chan, Ken-chan from the kitchen and Honey, and myself. First, cheers! We had boiled and pan-fried gyoza. Both were juicy and had a rich flavor even without dipping sauce. I ended up eating them without sauce. The potato salad with sansho pepper flavor was a unique sensation. Kazu-san also mentioned that he wondered how it was made. The chilled tofu with sesame dressing was crispy but in a good way. The worst thing is when something stays crispy in a bad way, but this was not the case. It had a fleeting, piercing crispness. Delicious! I don't remember eating the chilled tofu with century egg before, but I used to dislike century eggs. Maybe living in Yokohama has toughened me up. The fried chicken was pretty standard. The Chinese shrimp crackers were also good but nothing extraordinary. The stir-fried tomatoes and eggs were quite tasty, similar to something I had at Kazu-san's place before. The fried rice was served as the drunken antics continued. Someone was shouting, "Upsize the shrimp!" and it was getting a bit scary, so I tried to pay attention. The fried tofu with peanuts was served later, by which time we had switched to bottled beer and even changed brands. Eventually, Sh-san joined us. Rumor had it that this person was quite dangerous. He was smiling while bringing something out - Lao Long Kou. This was intense! More like an alcohol bomb than a drink! Then another brand of alcohol bomb was brought out. Sh-san kept smiling throughout. That's when I realized, "People who smile in a scary way are truly scary." It seemed like it was going to be another violent night. I don't remember what happened after that. Thanks for the meal.

I will introduce a restaurant after a long time! This time it's "Gyoza King", a restaurant near the school that specializes in gyoza, as the name suggests! When I was taken there for the first time and took a bite, I exclaimed, "So delicious!!" I had never tasted such delicious gyoza before, it was a storm of emotions. However, when I told others about it, they all said, "It's just okay," "Your taste buds are cheap!" "Is it really not bad!?" Well, that's how it goes. I went back for a rematch after a long time! I ordered a draft beer, A course, potato salad, and fried rice! Alright, here we go! ... The taste is rich and delicious, with a chewy and crispy skin. The meat juice oozes out. I'm sure they wrap and bake it after ordering (・∀・). It's still delicious! Well, taste is subjective, so it's fine if I find it delicious! The slightly broken English-speaking staff are nice people and always smiling. Anyway, today is a friend's job celebration ('∀') Congratulations!! By the way, Gyoza King offers course meals. A course, B course, C course. But they all include a set of fried and boiled gyoza. In order, 10 fried and boiled gyoza, 15 fried and boiled gyoza, 25 fried and boiled gyoza for 900 yen, 1300 yen, 2150 yen (excluding tax). It's a little more cost-effective than ordering individual items, right? They also have side dishes like stir-fried green peppers and mapo tofu♪ ◆ Gyoza King ◆ Authentic Chinese handmade gyoza specialty store 558-0022 1-4-3 Sugimoto, Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka City TEL 06-2292-8283 Business hours 5:30 pm to 11:30 pm Closed on Mondays. So long!

Even the A set was delicious and sold out quickly. Next, I'll challenge the B set. The pan-fried dumplings had a chewy skin. I should have gone earlier. (laughs)

I sometimes go there because it's within walking distance from my house. The dumplings here are the best! They are chewy and juicy! The dumplings do not contain garlic, but you can add as much garlic as you like to the sauce. I love garlic, so I add plenty of it! The dumplings are small in size. When you bite into them, the meat juice overflows from the filling. They taste delicious even without dipping them in the sauce! The dough is just the way I like it. There are also various other dishes available, but some people may find the flavors a bit strong. It's so blissful to enjoy dumplings while sipping on the Shaoxing wine I saved after taking a bath! The owner and his wife may speak limited Japanese, but they are incredibly kind people. This restaurant is wonderful!
