I went for the 6000 yen course, which I wouldn't normally try. The assorted sashimi was delicious, especially the fatty tuna. The hot pot was full of ingredients, and it was impressive for a 6000 yen course. The chef was friendly, and even guests from Tokyo were pleased. It might be a bit pricey for some, but being able to enjoy such quality sashimi and hot pot for 6000 yen was amazing.

I visited at night. The atmosphere of Daimyo has changed quite a bit from the past... every place seems like somewhere you'd want to try. This restaurant is a traditional izakaya. The staff is lively, but unfortunately, the ingredients were a bit disappointing as the market was closed on the day I went. The miso soup made with fish heads at the end was delicious with a rich broth. It seems like they specialize in fish dishes.

Today, my family of three had dinner here. We used to visit the restaurant when it was located in Ropponmatsu, but this was our first time at the Daimyo branch. I was planning to have a seafood lunch here recently, but they had a new takeout corner and lunch service was unavailable (please confirm). According to my husband, who had been here before, the first floor table seats have been changed to private rooms, providing a calm and enjoyable dining experience. We started off with a Kirin beer toast, which tasted like draft beer. The craft beer style was delicious though. Please refer to the images for the food we ordered. My son was eager to have "fresh squid" after a long time, so we ordered fresh squid, sesame mackerel, and various other dishes. The fresh squid was Japanese flying squid that day, with thick and sweet flesh, very delicious. The assorted tempura was also very generous. Personally, I really enjoyed the grilled beef harami. This restaurant not only offers seafood but also has a variety of meat dishes, making it versatile. Although it is a bit pricey, we were satisfied with the delicious food we had. The beer-loving men in our group had a large beer after the toast, while I enjoyed a glass of Hidashibumi and Senchu Hassaku cold sake. The total bill came to just over 17,000 yen. Thank you for the wonderful meal!

Six to seven years ago, a popular seafood izakaya that used to operate in Ropponmatsu has relocated to Daimyo. The head chef seemed as lively as ever, which was great to see. We enjoyed dishes such as live horse mackerel sashimi, fresh oysters, fried burdock, and grilled chicken thigh. The oysters were so delicious that we ended up ordering more. They pair perfectly with sake, don't they? The sashimi was tasty, but the soy sauce on the table was quite light, so it would be even more satisfying if they provided sashimi soy sauce. However, there were many other aspects that exceeded expectations, so we left very satisfied. The restaurant has sunken kotatsu seating, making it a delicious place to visit for various occasions. Thank you for the meal!!

I was able to visit this place for the third time after being turned away the previous two times due to it being closed. I ordered the deep-fried horse mackerel set meal. It was huge! It was completely different from what you can buy at a regular supermarket. The fish was thick and large, and it came with sashimi, a hot spring egg, and plenty of miso soup. I asked for extra rice for free, and I left feeling extremely full and satisfied with my lunch. My companion ordered the mixed fry set meal and the fisherman's bowl. Both looked delicious.

On Sunday, the curry restaurant I was aiming for was closed. It started drizzling, so I noticed a nearby restaurant and decided to go in. I had passed by this place often, so I was aware of its existence. They had pictures of the dishes outside, which made it easy to understand what they offered. The fact that they were open for lunch on Sundays was convenient, although only until 2 PM. Inside, there were 5 seats at the counter and semi-private table seating. Since I was alone, I sat at the counter. They also had a display case with fresh fish. I ordered the Seafood Mix Fry Set Meal (980 yen) from the menu. The dish was served on one tray, which included 2 shrimp fries, 3 oyster fries, and 1 horse mackerel fry. It also came with a vegetable salad and curry-flavored spaghetti. Rice, miso soup, and a side dish of lotus root were also included, along with tartar sauce. The meal was well-balanced and filling. The oyster fries seemed pre-made, but the other dishes were freshly made, especially the horse mackerel fry, which had a thick and delicious fillet. Other customers were also enjoying the horse mackerel fry set meal. It seemed to be quite popular. They had a variety of menu options, all priced under 1000 yen, and many customers seemed to be regulars.

Seafood izakaya in Fukuoka, located about a 4-5 minute walk from Akasaka Station. I had made a reservation in advance for this place, and it was our second stop on the bar hopping tour. The interior of the restaurant had seating up to the second floor, with counter seats, private rooms, and semi-private tables. The pickled vegetable assortment had the same familiar taste wherever you go. The fried burdock was served like a campfire, either with salt or mayonnaise. The live horse mackerel was incredibly lively, still moving as it was freshly prepared. We had it with ginger soy sauce or wasabi soy sauce. The leftover bones and head were fried for an additional dish. We also ordered extra ramen to finish off the meal, which was just perfect. I had been wanting to try the ramen, so I was glad to have the opportunity to eat it here.

Manpuku-ya is a restaurant where you can feel completely satisfied. Their breaded and fried horse mackerel is not the usual crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside type, but rather incredibly moist with the fish's natural oils. It's a new and delicious take on horse mackerel. With a variety of side dishes included, all for only 880 yen including tax. This place seems to be popular among office workers in Daimyo, with people coming in one after another during lunchtime. There's even a large fish tank inside, displaying the freshness of the seafood. The staff are also very friendly and the prices are reasonable. I look forward to trying their dinner menu next time. I went to Hakata seafood restaurant Manpuku-ya in Fukuoka City, Chuo Ward on September 29, 2020. The menu outside the restaurant caught my eye, with 6 options displayed. Inside, there were a total of 11 options available, all with tax included and free extra rice. I ordered the Special Chicken Cutlet Set for 880 yen (tax included). When the huge Special Chicken Cutlet Set arrived, I was convinced I couldn't finish it. It came with regular rice, tonkatsu sauce, miso soup, side dishes, and pickles. The chicken cutlet was truly special and large, making me wonder how many pieces were included. The side dishes were mentaiko pasta and vegetable salad. The freshly fried chicken cutlet was tender and delicious. After finally finishing the meal, I was left extremely full. The restaurant is located at 1-4-24 Daimyo, Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. Closed on irregular days.

The menu mainly focuses on seafood, but they also offer izakaya classics and a selection of grilled meat dishes. They also recommend dishes of the day, which is a nice touch. The first photo is of the recommended dish of the day, raw fish collar. It had a firm texture and was delicious. The second photo is a mixed tempura platter. The crispy batter made it a perfect companion for drinks. We ordered several other dishes as well, but unfortunately, I didn't take photos of them. For the finale, we had the chef's choice fried rice, which was also delicious. I heard they have a banquet hall on the second floor, making it a very convenient restaurant to visit.

I visited this restaurant for a business dinner. Despite not having a reservation, we were lucky to get a large private room. It has a local izakaya feel with a good selection of drinks, including sake. The food includes seafood and typical izakaya dishes, all of which are delicious. The sashimi, in particular, was very tasty. The staff's service is also good.
