I went to buy bread for lunch. The place is on the right hand side of the old Route 10, towards Karita, in Uesone Shinmachi. Look for the flag that says "Freshly Baked Bread". Inside the simple store, various breads are lined up on a long table covered with bamboo blinds. I used the ranking chart on the wall as a reference and bought various items. - Edamame, Bacon, Mayo Bread (205 yen): The salty taste of bacon, mayonnaise, and the texture and flavor of edamame are pleasantly delicious. - Keema Curry Wiener (216 yen): Plenty of keema curry with rich cheese and mayonnaise is exquisite. The crispy wiener has a great texture. - Asparagus White Sauce (227 yen): Creamy white sauce with three crunchy asparagus spears. - Grilled Vegetable Potato Salad Roll (216 yen): Potato salad with paprika, zucchini, broccoli, baby corn, snow peas, and plenty of vegetables, along with coarsely ground wiener. - An Butter French Bread (184 yen): "It will be ready in about 10 minutes," they said. The fragrant hard bread with a crispy outside and a soft inside, filled with plenty of an butter, is truly delicious. All the breads I bought were excellent, with most of them priced in the low 200 yen range, making it a reasonably priced and delicious bakery.

First day at GW. I was feeling good in the morning (not hungover), so I decided to visit "Cornet" in Shimosone, which I had wanted to go to for a while since it's only open on Saturdays. However, it was closed. Then I realized it was actually Friday. I tried to think of other nearby places I haven't visited yet. I couldn't search on the food review app on my phone because I was running out of data at the end of the month, so I relied on my memory to find this place. The ratings were high, but the shop was surprisingly modest and small. The staff were friendly, giving off a local community vibe. I tried a curry-flavored hard bread and a cream bread shaped like Totoro. The hard bread had a good texture and flavor, with a subtle curry taste that complemented the bread aroma. The Totoro bread was a standard soft bread with regular cream inside. It was a typical flavor. There were good reviews about the red bean bun, but I don't like red bean paste, so I had to pass on that. A quality bakery near my home. If you're nearby, please cherish it.

The bakery "Pan Pelte" is located along Prefectural Route 25, which runs parallel to National Route 10 and the Nippo Main Line in Sone. I knew about it because I often pass by, but for no particular reason, I had never stopped by before. The area around Route 25, which used to be part of National Route 10, was known for hosting industries like factories, transportation companies, and waste disposal businesses that were difficult to operate within the city. This impression may have stuck with me, as there is also a small factory next to the bakery, reminiscent of the old landscape. The bakery is more visible from the city side, but from Karatacho, it can be easily missed due to the blind spot. However, it is easier to enter from the Karatacho side because of the left turn. The bakery has a spacious parking lot between the bakery and the neighboring factory, making it easy to park, but also a bit confusing due to its size. The interior of the bakery is not very large, and it can get crowded with just 4-5 people. The owner (or employee?) of the bakery, who I will refer to as "Gray-san" due to their somewhat ambiguous gender, provides cheerful customer service, which is quite endearing. During my recent visit, I purchased four items from the bakery. After completing the payment, I asked for permission to take photos, which surprised Gray-san and led to a moment of panic when they realized they had forgotten to add butter to the anpan I purchased. It seems that the bakery adds butter to the anpan after the purchase to prevent it from melting, which is unusual and caught me off guard. Nevertheless, Gray-san's lively demeanor, albeit a bit startling, added an amusing touch to the experience. The four items I purchased were: 1) Sweet Potato Cream Cheese, 2) Edamame Bacon France, 3) An Butter, and 4) Apple Custard. Each item had its unique flavors and textures, with the Sweet Potato Cream Cheese being a nostalgic and simple delight, the Edamame Bacon France offering a savory and satisfying combination of flavors, the An Butter providing a delightful surprise with its buttery filling, and the Apple Custard resembling a fluffy cake with a hint of cinnamon. Overall, the bakery's offerings were delicious and worth trying, especially for those looking for unique and flavorful bread and pastries.

Salsa with colorful vegetables for 180 yen and custard cream sandwich for 160 yen. I have passed by the road in front of the shop many times before, but I never noticed this bakery until today when I finally saw it and made a U-turn to visit. I arrived after 3 PM and although there weren't many types of bread left, the selection was quite appealing. They didn't have curry bread.

This is my second visit. I stopped by after lunch, so I chose some pastries today. The savory pastries also looked very delicious. There were so many options to choose from, but I ended up picking red bean paste bun and rye bread with red bean and cream cheese. I love red bean paste! Both were delicious.

- Genre: Bakery - Area: Kamizone, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu City - Access: Less than 15 minutes by car from JR Shimozono Station - Parking: Available - Credit card payment: Not available - Number of visits: First visit - Number of reviews: 1st review On this day, I casually visited "Panperte" bakery. - Exterior and Interior This shop is located along Prefectural Route 25, which extends towards Karata from JR Shimozono Station, also known as part of the Kitakyushu Kanikaki Road. Although there are no particularly distinctive exterior or interior features, the small building caught my attention as I passed by. It looked like a mini container, but it was actually a bakery. I finally decided to step inside today!!! - Seating Takeout only. - Menu They usually offer a variety of bread. (There were only 4 types of bread left on this day, so I couldn't confirm most of them.) I ordered the following: - Anko Butter France (170 yen) From the name, you can probably imagine what it is. It may appeal to those with a sweet tooth, but for those who don't like sweet things, it might pack a punch. Personally, I prefer traditional Japanese sweets and am not a fan of Western sweets. Despite that, I decided to give it a try and purchased it. The bread is a hard type similar to French bread, with a cut made and filled with black bean paste and butter. I took a bite without much expectation at first. Then another bite... It's delicious... Extremely delicious!!! First of all, the bread is like French bread, hard on the outside but surprisingly moist on the inside. The hydration level must be quite high. And the sweetness of the bean paste and butter... in other words, the perfect balance of Japanese and Western sweetness! They each make their presence known in your mouth but ultimately hold hands in harmony. It's hard to describe, but this is delicious. - Strong Points I hit the jackpot with delicious bread!!! - Service Average. - Summary I want to make it clear that this review is written by me. I tried changing my writing style a bit. I haven't worked as a writer for a long time... I'm just a regular worker who is willing to learn in my main job and occasionally shares my thoughts with students in another field. Now, about this bakery, the bread was incredibly delicious. It might have been just a coincidence, or maybe because I didn't have high expectations when I walked in... Either way, I will definitely visit again. Thank you for the meal! ^ ^

The rye bread with cream cheese and custard was delicious. It cost 170 yen. Looking forward to trying their white bread as well. The small shop is located on the right side when heading towards Kuchinami from Shimoneseki Station along the old Route 10.

When I go to work in Karita, Kitakyushu, I always pass by "Panpelte" which is a small shop in an area with not many other shops. They make and sell various types of bread. Their salt bread for 100 yen is popular these days, with a strong salt flavor that could also serve as a snack. They also have a chicken cream stew bread for 230 yen, filled with plenty of ingredients and very tasty. The egg wiener is a double of egg salad and wiener for 160 yen. They have a variety of cooking-related bread. It seems like a tough location to operate a shop, but they are doing their best. - Shop Information: Panpelte 093-471-2873 9-3 Kamisone Shinmachi, Kokuraminami-ku, Kitakyushu City Opening hours: 07:00-18:00, Closed on Tuesdays

While driving on Prefectural Route 25, I stumbled upon a bakery that I had never seen before. I decided to pay a visit. The bakery was located diagonally across from Toriyasu Shokudo in Shimotsune. Upon entering, I saw two men making bread in the kitchen. It was just after lunchtime, and the selection of bread was impressive. The name of the shop didn't seem to be well-known yet. As I looked around, I found my favorite walnut and raisin bread. It had a satisfying texture and a rich flavor of rye. I quickly bought it and tried it at home with a cup of coffee. It was exactly as I had expected - a delicious rye bread. There was a sign in the shop saying that after 5 pm, the bread would be half price, indicating that the shop may not be well-known in the surrounding area yet. Walnut and raisin rye bread is not easy to come by, so I may stop by more often when passing by. Thank you for the meal. (Hands together) (Purchased on January 31, 2016, Sunday)
