When I arrived in Amza, I was quite tired, so I took a break and a nap before heading back out into the streets of Osaka around 9 PM. Originally, I planned to go to a ramen shop in Dojima Shotengai, but I really wanted to drink, so I gave up on the ramen shop and decided to go to an izakaya instead. The place I ended up at was Satsuki. Do you ever have preconceived notions about a restaurant? I had known about this place for a while and was curious, but I hesitated to visit because it's located in the same building as Yoshimoto New Comedy Theater. I thought it might be a place where customers who just finished watching the show would stop by, and the food might not be that great. However, after checking the reviews on Tabelog, I saw that it had pretty high ratings. So, I decided to give it a try. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was seated at the counter on the right side. I ordered a draft beer (Asahi Super Dry) and a sashimi platter with five types of fish. Unfortunately, the homemade potato salad was sold out. Since I was still not feeling completely recovered, and I mainly came for the drinks, I decided to stick with these orders. While waiting, the sashimi platter arrived, consisting of bluefin tuna, red sea bream, flounder, cold yellowtail, and fresh octopus. The sashimi looked amazing, and when I tried it, each piece was fresh, had a nice texture, and was delicious. I regretted not ordering the seven kinds of sashimi platter instead. The bill came out to be surprisingly cheap, only 1500 yen with a beer refill. I couldn't believe I had overlooked such a great restaurant that was so close by. Lesson learned: don't judge a restaurant based on preconceptions, just give it a try at least once. Next time, I'll come back for the seven kinds of sashimi platter and the potato salad. The service was a bit cold, but overall, it was a great experience.
