I visited Tonkatsu Dojo for the first time and ordered the tonkatsu bento. The visual impact is impressive, and the portion size is huge! It is large but not thick, thinly breaded and evenly coated with sauce. The sauce is not too thick, so it's surprisingly light to eat! There is shredded cabbage on one side under the tonkatsu. The sauce is not too thick, so it blends well with the rice and the portion size is generous. Towards the end, it might get a bit repetitive, but I managed to finish it all. Thank you for the meal!

On September 9, 2022 (Friday) at noon, I went to "Tonkatsu Dojo" in Higashi Kaga-ya, Suminoe-ku (in front of Chukaga-ya 2-chome bus stop) for lunch. I tried the Jumbo Tonkatsu Bento, which is their specialty. The bento was packed with deep-fried goodies and was ready in just a few minutes after ordering. Since there was no seating available, I took it home to eat. The portion was generous and it was delicious. I added some extra flavor with grated garlic, minced garlic, takoyaki sauce, and mayonnaise, which made it even tastier. For dessert, I had a red bean zenzai and ice cream from "Shatoreze," which was also delicious. Overall, the taste was rich, the portion size was good, and the cost performance was high. The staff were okay, and it was easy to customize the meal with various condiments provided for free.

I only had morning coffee at a cafe in the morning, so I got hungry at an awkward time. I searched for restaurants that are open all day but couldn't find any. Then I remembered the delicious fish fry bento I had before at Tonkatsu Dojo, which is close to my home, so I went to buy it. They used to have fish fry, shrimp fry, squid fry, croquette, and bamboo shoot tempura in the bento, but now they replaced the squid fry with an extra fish fry. The squid wasn't available, so I settled for the special bento, which cost 750 yen and included 2 shrimp fry, 2 fried chicken, and 2 pork cutlets. The pork cutlets were huge! The fried chicken was juicy and delicious. The shrimp fry was okay. They seem to have raised the prices a bit, but it's understandable in this situation. I wonder when I'll be able to eat the squid fry again. It was a satisfying meal.

If you want to enjoy some hearty fried food, this is the place for you! I don't buy it often, but when I do, I always go for the fish fry bento box. It costs ¥600 (tax included) and comes with 2 fish fry, a large squid fry, a croquette, a shrimp fry, and a fish cake tempura. They provide their own sauce, tartar sauce, and even soy sauce. The tartar sauce packet may not be enough, so I added some from home. There is always a long line during lunchtime, and you can't order by phone, so you have to order in person and wait. Even so, it's incredibly popular. By the way, they are closed during Golden Week from May 2nd to 6th.

This is a bento shop founded in 1979 located in Higashi Kaga-ya 3-chome, Nishinari-ku, Osaka City, known for its tonkatsu bento. They only accept cash. Their menu includes the famous tonkatsu bento, jumbo tonkatsu bento, as well as karaage bento, chicken katsu bento, fish fry bento, service bento, mix bento, squid fry bento, and minced cutlet bento. I bought the famous tonkatsu bento for 600 yen, which comes in a bento box with a huge tonkatsu that covers the rice completely. The tonkatsu is thin but tender, and goes well with the sauce, making it delicious and satisfying.

There is a shop called "Chijin Sake" with a yellow tent and a pig mark since I was a child. I stopped by after a long time. The jumbo pork cutlet bento is impressive in size. The rice is spread under the pork cutlet. The mixed bento includes shrimp fry, fish cake, squid, and something like white fish or squid that you can enjoy guessing while eating. Both are sizes that high school students would be happy with. It was full of volume. The bite-sized fried chicken was also delicious.

During my student days, I often used to eat at "Tonkatsu Dojo" for my part-time job lunch. The restaurant is still going strong. It always left a big impression with its generous portions, and when I visited recently, even past lunchtime, customers were flocking in for their bento boxes. The popularity is still high. This time, I bought two tonkatsu to go. They fry it on the spot, so it's nice and hot. And the portion size is still huge. The tonkatsu is so big that it spills out of the takeout container - it's ULTRA BIG. This tonkatsu graced our dinner table at home tonight. It was a hit with the family, especially the kids who were fighting over it. The cabbage and sauce that come with it are much appreciated. The tonkatsu has a crispy coating and a thick, juicy cut of meat. The cost performance is also very attractive. The combination of sweet sauce and tender cabbage is a high-level taste. By chance, we had some curry left, so I put one piece on top of it to make tonkatsu curry, and it was delicious. Of course, it pairs perfectly with curry too. The kids are already asking to go back, that's how much they loved it.

Tonkatsu bento box at a bento shop a little south of Minami Osaka Hospital, just south of Kitakagaya Station on the Yotsubashi Subway Line. The bento box includes a large, slightly thin tonkatsu that almost overflows from the container, paired perfectly with a mild tonkatsu sauce. You can choose to have the cabbage as a bed underneath the tonkatsu or served separately. The tonkatsu bento box offers great value for its price, with generous portions.

Today's lunch was the famous jumbo tonkatsu set from the deadly Tonkatsu Dojo! I happened to pass by the shop and they were open, so I couldn't resist buying it (laughs). It's so delicious!! That sweet sauce is just irresistible. I can't stop eating it. I can't resist this tonkatsu bento from here. It's just so delicious. And cheap too. If I pass by, I end up buying it.

On the way back from New Tonkatsu, I accidentally parked near Tonkatsu Dojo. There's a line forming at the restaurant. This is my chance...!! I have to go. The bento here is amazing, isn't it? It's cheap and delicious. The sauce is just incredible. I can't stop eating it~♪ The fruity sweet sauce is addictive. It only goes well with tonkatsu. It's amazing here. The best bento takeout specialty store♪

I wanted to try the Jumbo Tonkatsu Bento, One-Bite Tonkatsu Bento, and Mixed Assortment from Tonkatsu Dojo. It was impressive... incredibly heavy. The contents included tonkatsu with sweet sauce, mixed with white rice and other fried dishes. The Jumbo Tonkatsu Bento lacked flavor, with a composition of fat, rice sugar, and pork protein - the opposite of a diet-friendly meal. And the quantity was huge... it felt like eating only potato chips as the main course. The mixed fried dishes also included cabbage, but even that couldn't redeem the meal. The One-Bite Tonkatsu was so big that it couldn't be eaten in one bite, so I ended up using the leftovers the next day to make a scrambled egg dinner.

Today, for some reason, I woke up early, so I decided to go buy a bento box from Tonkatsu Dojo for the first time in a while. I can't forget their sauce...!! I got the Jumbo Tonkatsu set and a Hirekatsu bento as usual. The tonkatsu bento here is just so delicious~ Their sauce is amazing. It's a slightly sweet sauce. I always buy an extra serving of sauce. The tonkatsu bento here makes me want to cheer. The quality is just unbelievable. This popular restaurant always has a line around noon.

I finished my rehabilitation session and decided to stop by Tonkatsu Dojo on my way home. I always look forward to their bento after my rehab. Their jumbo tonkatsu set is seriously the best. Around noon, there's always a line forming outside this super popular spot. Their tonkatsu is just amazing. It's tender and the sauce has a fruity hint to it, which I really like. The portion size is also fantastic. This high-level takeout tonkatsu shop in Suminoe Ward is just top-notch.

After rehabilitation, head straight to the tonkatsu dojo! The tonkatsu here is delicious. I mean really delicious. The sauce is also incredibly tasty. Closed on Wednesdays and Thursdays. They seem to be doing quite well (laughs). The tonkatsu on top of rice is called tonkatsu bento. The set with rice served separately is tonkatsu set. Today's specials are Jumbo Tonkatsu Bento for 700 yen, the famous bite-sized Hirekatsu Bento for 650 yen, and a service bento for 650 yen!! They're all delicious, but the tonkatsu with this sauce is the best~♪

This shop specializes in takeout bentos focusing on tonkatsu and other fried foods. Their Waraji tonkatsu is famous for being thick and only costs 600 yen. The combination of tonkatsu, rice, and sauce is unbeatable. The most popular item, in my opinion, is the mixed bento.

It's ready! They work fast here. Speed is crucial for a bento shop. When you buy red rice at the supermarket, the container is filled with rice, and the tonkatsu is placed on top, almost overflowing. They must have flattened it a bit, but it's still quite a size. It's bigger than a woman's foot size, almost like a wooden clog size. And despite the size, it's quite thick! It's crispy and delicious! This place really offers great value for money. Next time, I'll go for the jumbo tonkatsu bento box for sure. Thank you for the meal.
