I had tried to visit several times but was always disappointed due to COVID or temporary closures, but today it was open. The lunch deal was really good. However, on this day, I had already eaten lunch at home. I'll definitely come next time. Huh?? Could that back view be... even if it's not, gyoza and beer are always a good idea, so I decided to check it out. And so, I stormed into the gyoza bar called Mechakucha. The interior had 4 counter seats and 3 tables for 4 people. Sitting at the counter was Tocchan from the famous curry shop Ise near Sakai Station South Exit. We hadn't seen each other in a while as he doesn't come out to the shop due to the energetic mama not giving him a chance to come out during the day (laughs). First things first, a toast with a premium malt beer for 550 yen. I forgot to order the gyoza because we got carried away talking about Shimachan and other bloggers from the old YAHOO Blog days. The menu looked like this ↓ https://ameblo.jp/fry2567/entry-12782082730.html *Please note that this is the menu at the time of the visit. Prices may have changed. You have to make your own sauce here. I think there was a sesame sauce prepared from the beginning... I think... well, it's been a while since I went (laughs). Mentally defeated, it was actually the end of September. I had notes on the gyoza, but I forgot to write down the sauce... Anyway, I started with the standard garlic gyoza, 5 pieces for 380 yen (at the time of the visit). Gyoza and beer make a great picture, don't they? The gyoza was not overcooked or undercooked, just right. They were smaller than the ones at Osho but larger than those at local Chinese restaurants. Taking a bite, it was exactly what gyoza should be. The garlic aroma was just right, not too strong or too weak. The meat flavor was the star, with the vegetable flavor coming through as well, creating an excellent balance. This is really delicious!! As I was eating and talking, I saw them starting to wrap gyoza in front of me. It was for the evening preparation, and they kept wrapping one after another. Seeing that made me want to eat more. So, I ordered more!! One was the Red Hot Gyoza for 480 yen (at the time of the visit). It was advertised as a spicy gyoza with chili peppers. The color was a nice deep red, and you could see pieces of chili peppers here and there, which raised the excitement level. But usually, these kinds of gyoza are not that spicy. Well, the taste was undeniably delicious, so don't expect it to be too spicy... Oh!! It's quite spicy♪ The rich flavor of the filling was met with a sharp attack of capsaicin, creating a wonderful sensation. This is definitely recommended for those who love spicy food. It's addictive. The beer goes down smoothly. The other one was the Shiitake Gyoza for 400 yen (at the time of the visit). This exceeded my expectations. Instead of being filled with shiitake mushrooms, it was a surprising shiitake mushroom stuffed with meat. The idea of covering shiitake mushrooms with gyoza skin was unexpected (laughs). But not only was the appearance impressive, but the taste was also outstanding!! It was incredibly delicious. I couldn't stop drinking beer. In the end, the gyoza was so delicious that I ended up drinking too much beer in the afternoon, and the bill was quite high (laughs). But it's great for daytime drinking, the lunch prices are reasonable, so I highly recommend this gyoza restaurant. I will definitely revisit this place. I have to go in the evening for sure. It was delicious. Thank you for the meal~♪
