Eating alone at night. The Dandadan I ate in Nagoya, in the south of Iwatsuka, was delicious, so I decided to try this place as well. It seems like more and more shops are opening in Kansai. The interior is a bit retro, with quite a few seats. It was past 7 pm on a weekday, and about 70% of the customers were there. Besides salarymen, there were also many couples and women. What stood out was the large number of staff and their enthusiasm. There are about 5 people on the floor and 4 in the kitchen. So they come quickly when you look at the menu, and they come quickly when your drink is empty. I like this kind of enthusiastic attitude. If I feel like I can drink a little more, I tend to order more (laughs). And just ordering makes them cheer loudly (laughs). It makes me feel energetic too.
■■■ Menu ■■■
Of course, the main dish is meat gyoza. There are few other options. Many dishes are served quickly, and there are also unique items like century egg tofu and garlic pickled gizzards. The prices range around 500 yen, but dishes like oil-drizzled chicken and mapo tofu are closer to 1,000 yen. Drinks are also on the pricier side, with Premium Malt 658 yen and Highball 548 yen. Maybe the prices are higher because there are no complimentary dishes.

▼ Juicy Grilled Gyoza 614 yen (558 yen + tax) (May 23, 5th year)
It arrived in about 10 minutes. There are 6 pieces connected. The size is slightly smaller than that of Gyoza no Ohsho. Yes, this is it! The juiciness with the broth. It's clearly different from xiaolongbao, which also contains chives, but this broth is delicious. Garlic is also included as usual. Important. The juiciness, the umami of the meat, and the saltiness make the beer go down smoothly!
▼ Slightly Spicy Meat Miso Bean Sprouts 482 yen (438 yen + tax)
Since the "Garlic Pickled Gizzards" I had last time wasn't that great, I ordered this instead. The meat miso doesn't stand out, is it ground chicken? It's more like seasoned minced meat. The crunchy texture of the beans is delicious. The spiciness is just "slightly spicy," so it's fine for adults. There's a good amount, and it goes well with beer and the Highball I ordered next! It's also tasty when you add chili oil.
■■■ Drinks ■■■
▼ Premium Malt 658 yen (598 yen + tax)
They brought it to me at the same time as the gyoza, as I requested. This makes me appreciate it more. It has a refreshing taste with a hint of bitterness that's a bit different from usual.
▼ Large Highball 647 yen (598 yen + tax)
It's not that big, but there's not too much ice, so you can drink it properly. 650 yen is a bit expensive... but I'm satisfied.
■■■ Closing Remarks ■■■
With gyoza, bean sprouts, and two drinks, the total bill was 2,401 yen. Considering it's Umeda, this price is understandable. The service is excellent, so considering that, the price is not high. It's recommended for having an additional drink at a second bar. Thank you for the meal.
