I went to a ramen shop I had always wanted to visit for lunch at 1:30 pm, so there was no one there. I bought a ticket outside the shop and chose the most popular fish and chicken creamy ramen. The creamy ramen had a rich flavor of fish and chicken broth, and the soup was delicious. I also felt like having some rice.

After drinking, I was taken by my junior to visit this restaurant for the first time. Located along the Fukakusa Shidan Kaido in Fushimi Ward, Kyoto City, Fukakusa Seimen Shokudo offers a menu of five items including fish and chicken white broth ramen, chicken white broth ramen, mixed noodles, spicy mixed noodles, and soy sauce ramen. You purchase a meal ticket from the ticket machine at the entrance before entering the restaurant. This time, I tried the fish and chicken white broth ramen. I saw the staff using a frother to mix the soup from the counter. The soup looked so creamy, I wondered what it would taste like... The soup was indeed very creamy, not too heavy, and had a unique mouthfeel and flavor that I haven't experienced much before. When I took a sip of the soup, the umami of seafood enhanced the umami of chicken white broth, and the soup was very well frothed, giving it a smooth and mellow taste. I think the fact that the soup is frothed and contains air is a key factor in its deliciousness. The homemade noodles used in the ramen paired perfectly with the soup. Eating them with white leeks and daikon radish sprouts added a slightly refreshing texture to the experience.

Chicken broth ramen for 850 yen with a special topping. I went here to use a special offer from the Fushimi Ramen Rally. This place is popular among young people for its mixed noodles in a bowl version. I had Taiwanese mixed noodles at the same participating restaurant yesterday, so it was a bit repetitive. The chicken broth ramen was just as good as before. If you're curious, check out a different place for reference. The special topping bowl had minced meat, egg, seaweed, chives, fish powder, sesame seeds, and green onions. So, how did it taste... Despite the complicated operation, it might be better as a regular menu item. I tried it from a young person's perspective, thinking they might like this kind of dish. For someone like me who still doesn't fully understand mixed noodles, this might be just right.

When I tried the creamy ramen with seafood, it was incredibly delicious. The topping of chashu was moist and full of pork flavor with each bite. The noodles were cooked to the perfect firmness, making it a very satisfying meal.

I arrived around 8 pm. There was no wait, but the restaurant was full. The soup was frothy and although it should have been hot, even someone with a sensitive mouth like me could drink it right away. The soup at the bottom was actually hotter. It had a seafood base but was also creamy, which I liked. It was delicious. Despite being ramen, it didn't leave a greasy feeling afterwards, which was great!

Chicken soy sauce ramen for 800 yen. On Sunday around 11 o'clock, I was able to enter without waiting. I wanted to eat ramen and get a stamp for the Fushimi Ramen Rally, so I tried to go to various ramen shops. However, there were long lines at some shops, so I ended up at Fukakusa Seimen where there was no wait. The chicken soy sauce ramen had a refreshing soup with a hint of seafood umami, and it was delicious. Thank you for the meal!

First stop on the Fushimi Ramen Rally 2023. Got the O-sakana Tori Shiro-Tan for 900 yen with the Meat Day coupon. The Fushimi Rally has finally resumed after a long break. It's been a while since I visited this noodle shop. There are many unique shops around here, rivaling Ichijoji. I finally tried their limited edition sea bream ramen with medium-thin flat noodles and added extra chashu with a coupon. The first sip of the soup had a strong sea bream flavor. Lunchtime (around 12:30). When I arrived, there was one customer already seated, but soon after, a group of students came in and the place was packed in no time. Must be during a break between classes? I had the seafood and chicken white broth for 900 yen and some fried chicken for 160 yen. Despite knowing it's not the healthiest choice, the rich soup was so delicious I couldn't stop slurping it down with my spoon. On Sunday, I wanted to eat creamy ramen after a long time, so I arrived for a revisit at 10:50 am, before the opening time, with no other customers in sight. I went to a nearby Daiso and returned at 11:05 am, finding that the restaurant was already open. I purchased a ticket from the machine outside, choosing the fish and chicken creamy ramen (900 yen). My wife and daughter also ordered the same. When we entered, there was one customer already seated. I noticed a sign saying "Get a free topping by adding us on LINE as a friend, available immediately," so I quickly added them and got 2 extra slices of char siu. The char siu was neatly arranged on top of the ramen when it arrived in just a few minutes. The soup was delicious, exactly what I was craving. The noodles were also good, and the char siu tasted great when dipped in the soup. My daughter particularly enjoyed the texture of the meat. The other ingredients added a nice touch as well. However, due to the creamy soup base, I felt a slight heaviness, maybe due to my age. My wife and daughter didn't seem to mind though. We all finished our bowls and enjoyed the meal. Chicken broth ramen for 900 yen around 12:30 on Saturday. No wait. I was able to enter smoothly! I bought a meal ticket outside the restaurant and handed it to the counter inside. The ramen arrived in about 5 minutes. They heated the soup at Yukihei before the noodles were cooked, and used a blender to create foam! I took a sip of the soup first. I felt the saltiness was a bit strong, but it was very flavorful and delicious! The foam added a nice creamy touch! It came with 2 slices of chashu, a half boiled egg, white negi, shredded red pepper, and kaiware. The white negi was a nice accent! The noodles were easy to eat and delicious! I tried adding garlic powder halfway through, but it wasn't necessary. I realized once again that the soup alone was delicious! It's understandable why this place is popular! I will come again soon.
