As of November 6, 2021, KFC has resumed regular operations. I came here to reconcile with KFC, which had stopped allowing customers to choose chicken parts and was in a state of estrangement. I don't usually eat original chicken, but I used to eat it regularly in the past. I would think, "It's so rich in flavor!" and after eating it once, I would be satisfied for a while, but after a few months, I would start craving it again. However, it was all about the skin and fat. Since I couldn't choose the parts anymore, I have been avoiding taking the risky gamble and only eating when I was invited, choosing pieces with lots of skin. But I love biscuits, so I came to KFC hoping to find something else on the menu that looked delicious. I generally prefer chicken with skin, and pork, beef, or horse meat with plenty of fat, but I sometimes eat chicken nuggets or Karaage, so I decided to try the Chicken Fillet Sandwich, which seemed similar. When I went to the register, I saw that there was a Kenta Lunch available until 4:00 PM. Since it was a Saturday, I asked if I could still order it, and they said yes. I felt like I saved 100 yen! Of course, I didn't forget to add the biscuits I came for. Chicken Fillet Sandwich Set (lunch price 600 yen): I thought, "I hope it's not something else like thigh meat..." but it was indeed breast meat. It was tender and not too dry. The mayo-like sauce was delicious, and I thought it would be great if they offered a thigh meat version even if it was a bit more expensive. It was a well-balanced and tasty burger. The lemonade soda was quite sour. On this day, I didn't choose it, but I like that the cola is Pepsi, as I prefer Suntory's green tea. I wonder if a Japanese-style chicken cutlet would be more juicy due to the sauce. I hesitated a bit on what to order, but next time I'll try the Japanese-style chicken cutlet. The potatoes were slightly thick and fluffy. I ate them while adding a little mayo sauce. Biscuit (230 yen): I've loved it since I was a child. I generally prefer sweets with a lot of moisture and oiliness, such as jelly or Financier, but I like the powdery texture of these biscuits. They are fragrant, and I can smell them before eating. I love the crispy feeling, especially when I moisten them with maple syrup. It has a scone-like deliciousness. I haven't eaten original chicken in a while, but I came to KFC after a long time... It's time to stock up for Christmas. I'm curious about the Twister, so I might try it next time. Even if I don't stick to the original chicken, there are other delicious options, so I feel like I can come back anytime. Well, to be honest, I'd like to eat the original chicken again after a long time. I would buy a box, so if someone could eat all the skinless pieces for me (laughs). After refreshing myself with a walk to Atotsu, I found that Karaage Sakura was closed. I was curious about the wording of the notice posted there. Writing something like that makes me wonder if there was some trouble. Next to it, a new store was under construction, and Yakitori Charlie had become course-only, showing various changes. Oh, and Yuki Matsudumplings was also under construction, or rather, on this day, there were still people in the store, creating a chaotic situation where it was unclear if they were selling or under construction (laughs). I really want to go back to Yakitori Charlie, so it's a shame that it's become course-only. I prefer to eat only what I like, and my eating habits vary greatly from day to day, so courses are not suitable for me... Still, it was good to go there at least once.
