I came here after a long time~(ﾟωﾟ) I ordered a bite-sized chicken cutlet curry. So, two days in a row of curry (lol). Lately, my body has been craving spices, so yesterday I had Indian curry and today Japanese curry (ﾟωﾟ). When I tried to order, they didn't come right away (lol). Finally, after a conversation with a regular at the counter, they came to take my order (-.-). The curry was delicious, but afterwards, when I asked for water, it took a while to come, and the inside of the restaurant was full of onion fumes that made my eyes sting. I stood there dumbfounded for a minute, then decided since I came all the way to Zōshigaya, I should take a walk and explore! Zōshigaya seems like a lively market! I didn't know it was so close by, haha. After wandering around, I ended up at this restaurant! I entered around 1:30 pm, there were 3 customers inside, and they seemed to be chatting with the staff, maybe regulars? The menu is just one page! Not many toppings, so it's a curry-focused restaurant. I ordered the most popular Chicken Curry, and after a 5-minute wait, the chicken in the curry was like this! I thought the chicken would be cooked in the curry, but it's actually a topping! But this chicken was really delicious! It was so tender and just melted in the mouth! As for the curry, I ordered the standard one, and it was sweet! Hmm, it's a matter of preference! Haha. They must have simmered the onions and other ingredients very well! I could only see onions in the curry sauce, but haha. If you prefer fruity curry over spicy curry, you'll probably like it. On a side note, I like it when restaurants offer lemon water. The flavor is more pronounced when you choose the spicier options with aromatic spices. If you prefer a milder taste, the sweetness of the onions may dominate the curry flavor (compared to curry made with store-bought roux). Just a heads up, the smell of sautéed onions may stick to your clothes, so be mindful. Parking is available at nearby coin-operated parking lots (the one I used charged around 100 yen for 30 minutes, and 100 yen for 60 minutes after 8 pm).
