The trip to Osaka for a foodie adventure turned out to be quite unexpected. Despite being overwhelmed by the neon lights of Dotonbori and Minami, I found myself walking through the bustling streets of Soemon-cho and stumbling upon a beautiful new building. Even though I was in Osaka, I ended up trying Hakata-style Mizutaki (chicken hot pot) instead. The restaurant was clean and quiet, making me almost forget that I was in the lively Minami district. We started with a toast with fresh beer and enjoyed the delicious beef tendon stew as a starter. The Mizutaki experience began with sipping the flavorful soup, accompanied by salt and yuzu pepper in a teacup. The staff skillfully served bone-in chicken pieces and then rolled up the minced chicken into balls for the hot pot. The milky white broth, rich with chicken flavor, was delightful, and the chicken balls had a soft and fluffy texture. We ended the meal with a comforting rice porridge. Overall, it was a satisfying dining experience.

Today, on a hot summer day, I came to eat Mizutaki! There were four of us, we ordered two servings of Mizutaki and two servings of Sukiyaki! We also ordered a few side dishes. The Mizutaki had a chicken broth base with a slightly sweet ponzu sauce. It was a hot pot that you would want to eat even on a hot day! It was amazing! The Sukiyaki also had a generous amount of meat, and it was made with a unique broth using a base and chicken broth. It was very delicious! The atmosphere inside the restaurant was great, with private rooms perfect for dates, business meetings, and entertaining guests!

I usually have water hot pot, but this time I had sukiyaki for the first time in a while. The sweetness was just right, the meat was tender and flavorful, and it was so delicious that my cheeks almost fell off (o^^o). I accidentally spilled some egg when cracking it, but the staff kindly cleaned the table without any complaints, which I appreciated. Thank you for a fun and relaxing time! I would love to visit again.

In Namba, many restaurants with private rooms tend to be cramped, but the good thing about this place is that the private room is spacious! The food is not cheap quality, and the prices are quite reasonable! Especially the horse sashimi we had this time was of high quality, so I highly recommend it!

Hakata Mizutaki is highly recommended, but we decided to visit because they also offer Hakata-style Sukiyaki. The staff takes care of everything from setting up the pot to serving the dish. The cloudy chicken broth is poured into a cup, and when you taste it as is, the light yet rich flavor is delightful. Adding a little yuzu pepper changes the taste even more. The soup supposedly contains plenty of collagen, which may be good for the skin, I'm not sure. I couldn't eat the chicken meat, so I just had the vegetables and tofu. The fresh vegetables are sweet and delicious, and the tofu follows suit with its deliciousness. We finished with champon noodles. As for the Sukiyaki, the carefully selected marbled black wagyu beef steals the show. Stir-frying the meat with broth, as soon as you put it in your mouth, the tender, sweet, and delicious meat melts, leaving you speechless with its deliciousness. The beautifully colored vegetables absorb the sweet and savory soup generously, making the taste even more addictive. We also added beef tongue and horse sashimi. It was a luxurious family meal for us, and in terms of satisfaction, I think it was well balanced.

This is a revisit, as I forgot to take photos last time, so I am posting again. The interior of the restaurant has a calm atmosphere, with table seats divided into semi-private sections, allowing for a relaxed dining experience. The staff take care of the hot pot, periodically checking on it and adding ingredients like shimeji mushrooms, as well as preparing the final rice porridge. The chicken bones are simmered first, creating a delicious broth. I highly recommend ordering the mentaiko dish, which has a refined taste and pairs perfectly with alcohol. This is a restaurant that makes you want to visit again.

I had the Hakata specialty dish of Mizutaki with local chicken, bone-in chicken, minced chicken, and vegetable platter, along with side dishes and rice porridge instead of ramen. I also had chicken soup, highball cocktails, horse sashimi from Kumamoto, fried chicken wings, and additional hot pot menu items. The chicken mince with shiso leaves in the milky white chicken broth was delicious.

I visited the Suigyu Iroha Munenobu-cho store for the first time for a year-end party with customers. All seats are private rooms, so it's reassuring in this day and age. We ordered the water-cooked chicken and fried chicken. First, we tried the chicken broth soup. It had a slightly cloudy appearance, not as thick as ramen chicken broth, but maybe a bit of chicken fat in it? The bone-in chicken pieces, lots of vegetables, and chicken thigh were delicious. The chicken thigh was especially tasty! We enjoyed it with ponzu sauce. Personally, I always remember that chicken broth goes really well with vegetables and the vegetables were delicious this time too. Thank you for the meal!

Since eating Mizutaki in Hakata, it has become my favorite hot pot dish. I knew there was a branch in Minami and finally visited for the first time! The Mizutaki set was delicious with a rich broth. The cloudy white soup was amazing. I highly recommend it to those who haven't tried it yet. I enjoyed every bite, including the finishing zosui. Thank you for the delicious meal!

When I feel like eating Mizutaki, I usually go to Kyoto, but today I went to Osaka Minami. The Mizutaki pot was... the meat was tough and the soup was a bit bland. I ended up leaving some behind. However, the fried chicken wings were amazing! Mizutaki pot and fried chicken wings ===========

During this time of year, I am happy that each table is like a semi-private room with partitions or tatami seating, so there is minimal contact and it feels safe. They also offer takeout ✧*̣̩⋆̩☽⋆゜
Sukiyaki 6,000 yen per serving. The photo shows a serving for two. The black wagyu beef is carefully selected for the best quality each day. The sweet taste of the beef is amazing, and the broth with milk is unique! It was my first time trying it, but the milk flavor was not overpowering, and the broth was lightly sweet and savory, allowing the sweetness of the meat to shine through. The meat was tender and sweet, absolutely delicious.
Udon 600 yen. Of course, we had to finish with udon. The broth was light, so it wasn't heavy.
Shabu-shabu 4,700 yen per serving. The homemade ponzu sauce was sweet and light. The soup was irresistible, with a good dashi flavor. The tsukune (chicken meatballs) were fluffy and not too firm, with a nice texture. The chicken meat was light and healthy.
Horse sashimi 1,500 yen. It was moist and tender, so delicious! The soy sauce was sweet and tasty.
Mentaiko (spicy cod roe) 800 yen. It had a rich flavor that wasn't too strong, easy to eat. The hint of alcohol was nice.
Pickled vegetables 200 yen. The wasabi had a sharp kick, which I liked. I couldn't stop eating it.
It's great that you can enjoy authentic Hakata cuisine in Osaka. If you can't visit the restaurant, you can also order takeout. Both options have great cost performance and are super delicious! Although they don't come with vegetables, the key to making the shabu-shabu is to use cabbage instead of Chinese cabbage.

Second time having black wagyu shabu-shabu♡ I prefer shabu-shabu over sukiyaki♡ My favorite way to enjoy shabu-shabu is to quickly dip and eat a little bit at a time (*^^*)

I ordered the sukiyaki. They warmed up the milky white broth in a pot and made the soup. They put the meatballs in the pot and after 5 minutes, they took them out and put them in a bowl for me. The rest was self-service. The sukiyaki was delicious, and the staff were all young and beautiful. However, the alcohol selection wasn't great and the seating was a bit cramped. The hot pot was the highlight. Thank you for the meal.

I had a delicious experience with the hot pot meal. I was able to enjoy my meal in a calm private room, and the staff regularly checked on the pot to make sure everything was cooking well. It was my first time having the soup served in a small cup at the beginning, which was a unique experience. Both the chicken and broth were very tasty, and I will definitely be returning to this restaurant.

I went to a restaurant recommended by a friend that serves delicious low-calorie chicken hot pot! They use chicken breast meat in a broth for shabu-shabu, and add lots of chicken meatballs to the pot. It was quite tasty and guilt-free, as it seems to be low in calories. The private room was also very relaxing. I would love to go back again!

I first came with a premium coupon and became addicted to the taste. The location is in Soemon-cho, on the 3rd floor of a beautiful building diagonally across from Hotel Metro, it's perfect. I went to try the taste of Fukuoka's Mizutaki traditional dish, and I was immersed in the rich soup. Plus, it's full of collagen, which is great for women! I was shocked by how delicious the chicken soup was. Mizutaki always tastes great and I can eat as much as I want without worrying about calories, unlike beef. Every time I come, I enjoy changing it up with champon or zosui for the finish. And then there's horse sashimi. It melts in your mouth but also has a unique texture. I've eaten it in many places, but I love the freshness, sweetness, and size of this restaurant's. As expected from a local Fukuoka's long-established restaurant, the taste is impeccable and the staff's service, especially the recommendations, is impressive. I will definitely continue to visit this place.
