"Alicia's Food Log: I was always curious about this restaurant near my hair salon. I made a reservation for 21:30, a bit late. I didn't have high expectations, but the place was packed! Some dishes were not available due to the late hour, but the staff kindly informed us in advance. The young owner was full of energy. I wasn't expecting much from the sashimi, but the fish was thick and delicious! As soon as I took a bite, I nodded in agreement with my partner. Yummy! The smoked mackerel and radish were so good that I wanted seconds. The grilled beef sagari was tasty but slightly tough. The popular sweet potato tempura was freshly fried and delicious, even for someone like me who doesn't usually like fried food. The thick and satisfying rolled omelette filled my heart. I can't believe there's such a great restaurant in the neighborhood. I look forward to trying more dishes at this promising place!"

I have known this restaurant for about a year and have visited it a few times! I had known about it before, but there are so many appetizers that I want to try, and I always find something new to try next time, so it's a fun place to visit. Recently, they have started offering set meals, so I am hoping that even a woman dining alone can visit or stop by for a quick meal. My favorites are umesuisho, avocado yukke, and duck with wasabi! The duck has a flavorful broth and is very tender with a gentle taste. The cost performance is good, the food is delicious, and there is a counter so it's easy to visit! The soba noodles that were on the previous menu were so delicious that even my friend who said she was full ended up wanting to try them. They were cleaner and more delicious than the soba noodles I knew, and I was impressed. Although they are not on the current menu, it was a dish that showed the dedication put into each dish! They also let you choose from a selection of shochu and sake brands, and as we enjoy drinking, it was a fun time to choose and try new brands of alcohol. When they first started the set meals, the menu was mainly focused on set meals, but customers were asking about the previous menu items. The staff mentioned that they are constantly changing and incorporating customer feedback, which I thought was wonderful. Indeed, the next time I visited, the menu had changed and there were more options! The appetizer menu had expanded, and my favorite dishes had increased, so I am happy and looking forward to visiting in the future! It is a customer-oriented restaurant that is very delicious and highly recommended! I hope they continue to do well and that more people get to know this delicious restaurant!

A great little bar. Tonkey Monkey in Kashii has changed its style to become more like a dining hall. You can use it as a regular meal spot or as an izakaya. No cover charge, which is nice. I had a draft beer and tried the avocado yukhoe for 400 yen, a simple but tasty dish with a yukhoe flavor. The duck and wasabi for 600 yen was juicy and delicious. They also had crispy chicken tempura for 350 yen, dashimaki tamago for 250 yen, and homemade satsuma-age for 200 yen. I also got a free highball with a coupon and added a tomato highball. The total bill for two people was 3300 yen, a great value! Tonkey Monkey in Kashii is definitely worth a visit.

All the dishes were delicious! If I had to ask for one thing, I wish the variety of alcohol options was a bit more extensive.
