I saw in Hankyu's email newsletter that Ferm La Taille Biei has opened a store on the basement floor. I decided to visit as I had recently attended an event at the same location held by Mel's Caramel, which is part of the same group. There was already a line when I arrived. I waited for about 15 minutes. I bought butter sandwiches that were also available at Mel's. They had rhubarb and wood strawberry flavors. I also bought roasted nuts. This time, the texture was crispy and enjoyable. They use organic sugar and Hokkaido butter to create a light texture with a firm airiness. Cream cheese is added on top for a smooth and delicious finish. The wheat flour used in the sablé is original. The butter cheese sandwich is a combination of white chocolate and butter. They were available in two types: room temperature and refrigerated. There were also many cheesecakes displayed. I would like to try them if I have the chance. They were also selling room temperature milk sandwiches, perfect for souvenirs with cute packaging. They were available in packs of 4. I bought both for souvenirs and personal consumption. I purchased two Amo strawberry butter sandwiches, a butter cheese sandwich, and a matcha and black soybean sandwich. I originally wanted to buy four Amo strawberry sandwiches, but there were only two left. I ended up trying the matcha and black soybean flavors. There are 6 flavors available, including double cheese, matcha and black soybean, haskap and white chocolate, acacia honey and apple, rhubarb and wild strawberry, and milk chocolate and chocolate chip (each for 324 yen). I purchased the haskap and white chocolate flavor. The sablé cookies, named "Biei no Kaze," use Biei-grown flour with Okhotsk salt as a hidden ingredient. They are thinly baked to a crispy texture, very flavorful. The cream is smooth and flavorful, with the perfect combination of haskap and white chocolate. It's very delicious and I really liked it. I would like to try other flavors as well.

I purchased the limited-time Amakusa Pistachio and Double Cheese Sandwich. The whole pistachios in the Pistachio flavor had a strong impact, but I felt that the diced pistachios blended better with the cream. The Amakusa cream was delicious.
