Furiu is a specialty tea shop located on the second floor of an old building near the shopping street of Kiyokawa in Fukuoka. The interior of the shop is stylish like a cafe, with a counter where you can enjoy tea. They offer various tea menus, and you can enjoy a set of 2-3 cups of tea paired with different snacks. I tried the "Shin" from Yame tea, which was sweet and had a nice aroma for 650 yen. The second cup was enjoyed with karinto. It's interesting how they change the teacup for each serving. Japanese tea is truly fascinating. Despite the sophisticated atmosphere, there were many young women in the shop. The world of soothing tea. It was like a little course, and I realized that there are different ways to enjoy tea, such a deep world. Matcha gateau chocolat! It's rich and delicious. But it's so rich that it makes my throat dry! It's nice to drink a refreshing tea while enjoying it!

"Furyu" comes from the word "furyu" meaning elegance, representing the good manners left by our predecessors. Located a 3-minute walk from the Watanabe-dori Subway Station, a 7-minute walk from the Nishitetsu Yakuin Station, and a 10-minute walk from the Nishitetsu Tenjin Station, with access also possible from Hakata Station by bus. A rare specialty tea shop that focuses on hojicha. They have selected hojicha made from lemongrass grown without any pesticides, a specialty of Kyushu. The tea comes in a simple and cute zipper pack, containing lemongrass cut into 1-1.5cm pieces. It has a wonderful aroma, achieved by carefully roasting the lemongrass to ensure it opens up well. It can be enjoyed multiple times, and when made into iced tea, it is best to let it sit overnight for a full flavor. The tea is refreshing, smooth, and has no bitterness. It's a safe and reliable lemongrass tea with a high level of coolness. Highly recommended! I would love to try their other teas as well. Thank you for the meal!

The matcha was very authentic and the terrine had a chocolatey texture like a gateau.
