Mountain Coffee House, located in the middle of the Minoh Waterfall Trail, offers the perfect setting to enjoy exquisite coffee while taking in the seasonal beauty of Minoh National Park. The interior of the shop overlooks the babbling river, with window-side seats and a terrace where you can hear the chirping of birds. The decor includes antique furniture, silverware, roasting machines, mills, and antique coffee cups, creating a luxurious atmosphere. Despite rumors of high prices, the reality is quite different. The Mountain Special Coffee is priced at 750 yen, which includes a free refill, essentially making it two cups of coffee. I ordered the cake set for 1,100 yen, which included the Mountain Special Coffee and a lemon cake made with Hyuganatsu and Setouchi lemons. The coffee has a deep flavor with a smooth and refreshing finish, while the cake perfectly balances the sweetness and acidity of the lemons. It's a perfect pairing. Mountain Coffee House is the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Minoh Waterfall Trail and indulge in a luxurious coffee experience.

Minoh Kanko Hotel (Oedo Onsen Monogatari) is located about a 40-minute walk from Minoh Waterfall, and along the way, there is a cafe called "Yamamoto Coffee." I decided to stop by for a break on my way down. At first, I hesitated when I saw the menu with coffee for 650 yen and cafe au lait for 750 yen, as it seemed a bit pricey. However, as soon as I entered, I was greeted by the wonderful aroma of coffee! The cafe had a spacious and bright atmosphere with some walls covered in mirrors, giving it an antique yet beautiful and lovely feel. I was able to sit by the window, which was very comfortable. I ordered an iced coffee for 650 yen and the Yamamoto Special Coffee (equivalent to 2 cups of pour-over coffee) for 750 yen. The coffee set was quite luxurious, especially with the pot service, which I found to be quite rare. My iced coffee had a refreshing blend with a pleasant bitterness. The aroma of coffee filled the air, classical music played in the background, and outside the window, I could see the fresh green leaves, red leaves, and cherry blossoms. The atmosphere was wonderful, and I was able to relax and enjoy my time there. I would definitely like to visit again when I come to Minoh Waterfall. It may be a bit challenging for families with small children to enter as the cafe is mostly frequented by senior couples and couples. They also offer sandwiches, toast, cakes, and more.

A cafe located about a 15-minute walk from Hankyu Minoh Station towards the waterfall. I was lured in by a sign offering a discount of 1000 yen on coffee beans, starting at 2100 yen for 350g. When steeped in hot water, the beans expanded well, indicating that they were freshly roasted. The balance of bitterness and acidity was good, and the coffee was quite delicious.

I used this restaurant on the way to Minoh Waterfall for sightseeing. The classical exterior, with antique coffee cups displayed inside, offers a view of the river's murmuring and the fresh greenery outside. I enjoyed a set of tea and cake in the calm atmosphere with classical music playing. It was a relaxing time during the journey to Minoh Waterfall.

I walked to Minoh Falls and got quite tired. The temperature wasn't too high, but I still sweated a lot. I decided to take a break and peeked into this shop. At first glance, it looked like an old run-down coffee shop often found in tourist spots, so I was hesitant to go in. However, the interior was actually quite impressive. The difference between the outside and inside was huge. The seats by the window also offered a beautiful view of the valley, which could change the overall experience. Although it was delicious, the special blend coffee was over 700 yen, so it's quite expensive. Despite that, it's worth considering as a place to visit once, considering it as a location fee.

I underestimated the round trip walk from Hankyu Minoh Station to Minoh Waterfall. It was the middle day of the last 3-day weekend of 2018, and the sunny weather beckoned me to come. Although it's only 2.8 kilometers one way, the uphill slope on the way there was quite challenging, especially for my aging body. I reached Minoh Waterfall and felt a sense of accomplishment. I even encountered a monkey that I thought would be in hibernation. This mischievous monkey tried to steal snacks from a young couple but narrowly missed. Monkeys are indeed clever and entertaining. The walk back was also tough, especially the downhill part which was hard on my knees. When I started feeling thirsty, I came across a Western-style building in the mountains. It stood out with its spacious interior and glass walls. I enjoyed an ice coffee there, admiring the view of the historical building on the opposite bank. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the beautiful surroundings made the experience even more special. Despite the sparse crowd, the staff was friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant. The walk to Minoh Waterfall may be tiring, but this charming café is a great place to relax and recharge. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

We used it on the way back from hiking. I thought it might be too much to order shaved ice for each of my two children, but they split one serving into two for us. The coffee had a deep, authentic aroma and flavor, and we were able to enjoy plenty of it from the pot. When we were caught in a sudden heavy rain and couldn't leave, they kindly offered us an umbrella, saying, "If you don't mind forgetting something...". In addition to the atmosphere and taste, we received wonderful consideration.

I went for a walk to Minoh Waterfall. The weather is nice☆ There's a shop I've been curious about for a while. The exterior looks like a haunted house, a little scary... but when you go inside, it has a retro feel which is really nice♩ The view of the stream from the window is also nice. - Iced Tea @ 620 yen It's a bit pricey, but the service is good and it's recommended for taking a break. Thank you for the meal!

I visited in the evening and they had 8 types of cakes, but only 2 were left. It was a bit disappointing.

The Tamago sandwich set was really voluminous♫ However, the filling tends to fall out easily, so I wish they had included a fork.

On a certain holiday, the weather was so nice that I decided to go for a light hike to Minoh Waterfall. I came in very casual clothes and regretted not wearing something a bit more appropriate for the distance and mountain trail (^^;) However, it turns out that the paved path to the waterfall was closed due to a rockslide, so you could have actually come in casual clothes all the way. Just before the closed waterfall path, there was a shop located at the edge of the paved road. It is a shop located about halfway between the station and Minoh Waterfall, serving as a proper shop on the way to the waterfall. The location is completely in the mountains, with a beautiful view of autumn leaves, a river, and mountains visible from the windows of the shop. What surprised me when I entered was the atmosphere of a long-established specialty coffee shop and the numerous antique coffee makers and coffee mills displayed inside. The menu also featured a lineup of specialty coffees that I didn't expect in such a tourist spot. While the individual cups were reasonably priced, there was a pot service that made it suddenly very affordable at 900 yen for two cups (specialty coffee usually costs around 500 yen per cup). Nevertheless, it was lunchtime and I was quite hungry, so I also ordered a sandwich set that looked delicious. When you order a set, the coffee is a blend, but you get the pot service. It's a good deal♪ The sandwich I ordered was a tuna sandwich. It was a hot sandwich with the surface of the bread crisped up. It was filled with plenty of tuna, tomatoes, and lettuce, providing a satisfying meal. The balance with the slightly sweet bread was superb, and it was delicious! It was a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Menu ordered: Tuna Sandwich Set 1200 yen

When hiking to Minoh Falls, I always make sure to stop here. It's a perfect spot for a break on the way from Minoh Station to the waterfall. I used to come here a lot with my parents when I was a kid. They both loved coffee, so I developed a love for coffee from a young age. Even as my parents grew older and weaker, I would still make the effort to walk all the way here just to enjoy their coffee. The open terrace is lovely, especially during the autumn foliage season. The interior displays coffee utensils and cups, giving it a museum-like feel. This spot is a must-visit for coffee lovers.

There is a stylish cafe in Mino that also sells coffee beans, offering a wonderful selection of coffee. Unfortunately, I have a coffee allergy so I opted for tea instead. The atmosphere inside the cafe is fantastic, with great customer service at each table. I was lucky to find a table without a reservation, but I think it's important to make reservations in advance. It seems like a place more suitable for couples than individuals or families. However, there were many elderly customers.
