I had a meal and some drinks, and then I thought about where to go next. At times like that, HUB is a great place to go because they have a wide variety of drinks available at relatively affordable prices. I hadn't been there for a while due to the self-restraint period, so it was quite a long time since my last visit to HUB. They still have a selection of high-alcohol drinks, and the system where you go to the counter to order makes it easy to try different drinks. The atmosphere of the place also adds to the enjoyment, making it a fun and delicious place to visit.

HUB is amazing! I visited for the first time after the corona pandemic. The restaurant was packed with people, creating a lively atmosphere. About half of the customers inside were foreigners. It was impressive how fluent everyone was in speaking English.

Located right near the entrance of Center Gai in Shibuya Station, the "HUB" Center Gai branch is a British pub with a charming British-style exterior and interior. The majority of customers are foreigners, and there are many English signs inside, making you feel like you're in the UK. During lunchtime, you can enjoy cocktails starting from 190 yen. You order food at the counter. The Cassis Soda has a refreshing taste. The HUB Pasty and Margherita (half) Pizza have crispy crusts and taste delicious. This pub is perfect for a casual drink and a break. The atmosphere is great, and I really liked it.

Located in the basement of a building just to the left as you enter Center Gai from the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, this place is perfect for a quick time adjustment in Shibuya. I ordered a pint of Asahi Super Dry for 720 yen with a 5% discount using my member's card. As I descended into the basement and opened the door, I stepped into a world of an English-style pub at HUB. There were quite a few foreigners as usual. I headed towards the back area, which is a non-smoking space, and found a table. I was here for about 30 minutes, so I decided to have a pint of Asahi Super Dry. Even though I'm used to drinking Asahi Super Dry, it felt a bit fancy drinking it from a HUB glass, making me feel sophisticated. Next to me, there was a pair of young foreign guys with perfectly styled hair, clearly on a serious mission to pick up girls. Their passion was admirable. Besides watching sports broadcasts, it's also entertaining to observe the people around you. I will definitely continue to come here for time adjustments in Shibuya.

Despite its location at the entrance of Shibuya Center Street, the inside of Hub is just like any other. However, it is divided into smoking and non-smoking sections, with separate order counters for each. It was my first time seeing this setup. I ordered a pint of Hub Ale for 740 yen during Happy Hour. It's an original beer, but a bit on the sweet side. It would be nice to have a more bitter ale available, but it seems they no longer have Bass Pale Ale. That's a shame.

I occasionally go to HUB, but it's been a while since I last visited. This Center Street store was my first time here. The entrance is narrow and a bit hard to find. When you go down the stairs to enter, there is a female staff member right away asking for ID. Honestly, I wondered why at first. But considering the number of foreign customers, maybe they are being vigilant about illegal stays, following guidance from the police authorities? It's just a guess though. I sat at a table near the entrance, and it seemed like many customers were confused about having to show ID. It's a good place to kill time before a meeting or just have a casual drink.

I missed the last train and ended up stopping by a club called Flatt. Despite it being late at night, there were quite a lot of people there, which surprised me. The atmosphere was lively with cool people, so my mood instantly lifted. If you're heading to Shibuya, I recommend checking it out at least once! (*´ω`*)

I arrived at my destination early, feeling hot and thirsty, so I decided to stop by a pub. I ordered a pint of Hub Ale for 890 yen and a half portion of fish and chips for 400 yen using the cash on delivery system. I was given a waiting card for my beer and food, so I went back to my seat. While sipping on my beer, I watched a sports program on display in the pub. After about 10 minutes, my freshly made fish and chips arrived in a small bucket. The potatoes were hot and the homemade tartar sauce was delicious. When combined with vinegar, it added a nice acidity and depth to the fried food. The Hub Ale didn't have a strong aroma, but it had a nice flavor and was easy to drink. The pub was spacious and comfortable, located underground. There were quite a few foreign customers, which added to the relaxed atmosphere. I found this pub to be a casual and easy-going spot, perfect for a second round or casual hangout.

Located on the right-hand side as soon as you enter the Center Gai in Shibuya, this is a HUB pub. I was out shopping and got hungry, so I decided to try HUB by myself for the first time. It was around 8 pm at night, so it was quite crowded, but luckily there was a seat available! I'm not good with alcohol, so I chose a drink called Kissyria, which was advertised as having a low alcohol content of 3.5%. However, when I tried it, it turned out to be strong. I wonder if the waiter made a mistake? It was a mix of kiwi and apple juice, refreshing and nice, but too strong for me to finish. For food, I ordered the Anchovy Cabbage for 400 yen and the half portion of Fish & Chips for 400 yen. The Anchovy Cabbage was delicious - soft cabbage with anchovy-flavored sauce. I thought it might be too much for one person, but it was so tasty that I ended up finishing it all! The fried fish was also delicious - the spicy flavor in the batter made it tasty even without ketchup or tartar sauce. I ordered the half portion since I was alone, but I wanted to have another piece because it was so good! Next time, I'll go for the regular size. However, I wish they offered the option to order just the fish without the potatoes, as I didn't need that many potatoes.

I visited this HUB for the first time in my mid-30s. Shibuya has been a familiar place for me since my college days. As a country bumpkin, I was excited by the hustle and bustle of the Center Gai and the area around 109 that was portrayed on TV as "Tokyo Shibuya". It's been almost 20 years since the gal boom era, and the entrance to Center Gai has changed a lot. Normally, I would just pass by, but there is a HUB along the street. It was past 9 pm on a weekday, and the place was packed with what seemed to be students and foreigners. Everyone seemed to be on their second or third stop of the night. The energy of the crowd was amazing. As soon as I lined up at the counter, the guys were already chatting up the ladies. Nampa (picking up girls) that you rarely see on the streets was totally acceptable here. There were no herbivore men in this space. I enjoyed my favorite Blue Moon beer and a Campari soda on special. I hit it off with a handsome guy who said he was visiting from Sapporo and we toasted. HUB is a place where you can have various encounters. The Center Gai branch seemed to be a meeting place for "people who love alcohol and people" from foreign countries.

HUB is a cheap and user-friendly hub with a happy hour. I think of it as the Starbucks of the British pub world. HUB was also a participating store in the British Shopping Week ShoppingisGREAT 2015 hosted by the British Embassy in Japan. The HUB closest to Shibuya Station has two entrances and counters. The entrance facing Center Gai where I entered is for smoking. The entrance on the Fruit Nishimura side where my friend entered is non-smoking with a clean atmosphere. Since I couldn't find my friend even though we agreed to meet, I went outside and circled around to re-enter, only to realize it was the same shop. My friend had a HUB card, so we got a Jumbo size gin and tonic for 250 yen! It was until 7 pm, so we ordered another drink before finishing the first one. We enjoyed our drinks leisurely until it was time to move.
