Inside the restaurant, there are counter seats and table seats, and at the counter seats, you can see live kitchen style where eels are being grilled over charcoal behind acrylic. Watching the eels being dipped in sauce and grilled on both sides in front of you, occasionally fanned with a fan, is a meticulous process that you can observe. The eel arrives at your seat after this process. The menu we tried this time is called "Hitohira Ju" which is a whole eel in a special dish. The eel, which is a whole piece in the special dish, looks delicious from its appearance alone. The sturdy special dish is actually handmade one by one using Shigaraki ware. And the eel itself has a fluffy and crispy texture. The plump flesh and crispy skin texture can be enjoyed because it is carefully prepared. It is also nice to have sauce and sansho pepper on the table. As someone who likes plenty of sauce, I am delighted to have it. You can either pour the sauce into a bowl using a ladle and eat it, or you can bite into the eel while it is still in the dish. After finishing the meal in no time, we were served warm tea as a finish. Thank you to the fourth-generation Kikukawa-san for the delicious fluffy and crispy eel that can be enjoyed at Hilton.

We invited customers from China and enjoyed a private room. Before reaching the main dish of hitsumabushi, we had a variety of eel dishes such as boiled eel, eel rolls, and spring rolls, which filled us up. Despite that, we thoroughly enjoyed the main dish and dessert. The eel was grilled to perfection, with a refined and delicious taste. I think I'll come back with my family next time. ^_^

I have always wanted to visit Unagi Kikukawa, run by the fourth generation Kikukawa. This time, my family and I visited to celebrate a birthday with lunch. We enjoyed cold beer and delicious eel dishes. We ordered a variety of dishes and the staff were very polite and friendly. Thank you for the delicious meal.

This particular branch at Hilton Plaza did not have a burnt taste near the tail, which was a pleasant surprise. The sauce had a strong salty flavor, possibly due to the use of intense soy sauce. The eel was consistently delicious, and the restaurant provided a good explanation of their dishes and grilling methods. Overall, Hilton Plaza is a reliable place for enjoying high-quality, generously sized eel dishes.

When our family of four made a reservation, they gave us a private room. From start to finish, we were truly satisfied with both the taste and portion size. The grilled eel and hitsumabushi were both excellent, and the whole family agreed that it was the best eel we've ever had. The eel here has a crispy and fragrant skin on the back that sets it apart. We will definitely be coming back again.

Osaka Umeda 4th generation Kikukawa-san's research on eel. It's Unagi Day on March 10th, so I enjoyed the crispy texture of the locally grilled eel. The Hitsumabushi with one piece is my favorite. Thank you for the delicious meal! Thank you very much!

I want to try crispy grilled eel in Osaka! I indulged in a luxurious eel course at Kikukawa for the first time. The appetizers were delicious from the start. The eel bone crackers were crispy and hard. The sashimi was excellent as expected. It's been a while since I had good salmon. Then, it was an eel parade, all of them were delicious. Grilled eel is definitely better than steamed eel. The hitsumabushi was even better than the one I had in Nagoya. I definitely want to come back for dinner as a reward.

Unagi Hitsumabushi and eel rolls for about 5,000 yen! This was my second visit, and it was still delicious. You can enjoy various flavors by changing the condiments, so you won't get tired of it until the end. There are three types of sansho pepper, so I always hesitate which one to choose each time I take a bite (lol). It was my first time trying the eel rolls, and they were fluffy and melted in my mouth. They were delicious on their own or with eel sauce. The restaurant is clean and has a nice atmosphere, perfect for a date or business meeting. They even bring warm towels at the end. Great service!

I love eel! I indulge in eel dishes through hometown tax payments! But sometimes I want to eat out - I need to build up my strength because it's hot♫♣︎ Food list: - Grilled eel set - Lotus root side dish, liver sashimi, rice, pickles (my selection). I wanted to eat this as a side dish for beer (even though I'm on a diet), so I asked for a very small amount of rice. The texture is crispy and enjoyable, with no fishy smell! I indulged in one whole eel♡ - Hitsumabushi (eel over rice) - Lotus root side dish, liver sashimi, pickles, condiments (friend's selection). The rice with sauce looks delicious... but it's definitely a calorie bomb... I can't have it now! I'll have it once I lose weight (゚´ω`゚)゚。イツノコトヤラ The restaurant had a beautiful interior and was very clean. I think it's suitable for various occasions. I usually like fluffy textures, but I seem to be into crispy textures for now. Thank you for the feast(╹◡╹)♡

It was delicious. The outside was crispy, while the inside was fluffy. The aroma was amazing. The taste was perfect. I tried various dishes like grilled eel and rolled omelette, and even though they were out of liver, I ended the meal with a mini hitsumabushi. It was convenient to have a mini portion since I was drinking alcohol. The eel itself didn't feel too expensive, but the alcohol prices were a bit off, so the value for money was a bit tough. It's not a place for heavy drinking, but I feel energized now. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious.

The eel restaurant is run by a wholesaler in Nagoya- back when I was in Nagoya, I used to enjoy hitsumabushi in places like Shirakawa and Atsuta. This time, I tried the hitsumabushi made with a whole eel! The atmosphere of the restaurant is very quiet and elegant, suitable for entertaining clients as well. The crispy texture of the eel and the thick sauce were just right! The rectangular plate made it easy to eat, and the liver was very generous. I visited the 4th generation Kikukawa restaurant in Umeda, Osaka to study eel dishes. I had lunch with a rating of 3.07 on Tabelog. The eel was grilled over charcoal, crispy on the outside and tender inside. The Hinagiku course for 7,500 yen included liver, a selection of 3 appetizers, a sashimi platter, umaki, shirayaki, hitsumabushi, ice cream, and coffee. It was a delicious meal! Thank you very much!

I stopped by this restaurant due to work and was excited because eel is my favorite. The atmosphere and presentation of the dishes were perfect. I was born and raised in the Kanto region, so grilled eel was a rare and fresh experience for me. I used to live in Nagoya for a while, so eating hitsumabushi was nostalgic and delicious.

The restaurant had a calm atmosphere. I was able to spend a relaxing time in a private room. The eel had a generous portion, although I was expecting a bit more sweetness in the taste, it was still delicious. The only disappointment was that the chopped green onions as a condiment were already pre-cut like the ones sold in supermarkets, and they were dry, so I didn't add them as I thought it would spoil the taste of the eel. That is the only thing I would like to see improved. The staff were friendly and made the experience enjoyable.

Had a meal at the 4th generation Kikukawa eel restaurant in the basement of Hilton Plaza. Used a private room for work purposes. Ordered their famous grilled eel this time. I thought it would be the steamed, fluffy eel you usually find in Tokyo, but it was actually a crispy grilled eel in the Kansai style. The eel was served quickly, which is good for a business lunch. I was really hungry that day, so I ordered extra rice. While there are many posts about noodles, I actually love eel. This place also has a branch in Tokyo Station, and it's a great eel restaurant in a convenient location for business use.

I had a delicious one-piece hitsumabushi eel dish. The eel was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, with an amazing taste from a renowned restaurant. Although it was a bit pricey, the quality and quantity of the hitsumabushi were very satisfying. The eel liver was the best I've ever had, I was surprised by how delicious it was! I definitely want to come back to celebrate another special occasion.

There was a whole eel in the dish! It was in a long, narrow container and looked impressive ✨ I added some sauce and Japanese pepper to my liking, and it was delicious. I especially enjoyed the crispy skin that was grilled perfectly. Personally, I preferred this grilled eel to the one I had at Shibado's last time. The atmosphere and service in the restaurant were elegant and lovely.

I visited the restaurant "Unagi 4th Generation Kikukawa" located in the basement of Hilton Plaza West for the first time. I suggested this restaurant for dinner in Umeda, and everyone immediately agreed. Unagi is a beloved menu item, isn't it? The restaurant has a clean atmosphere with private rooms, table seating, and counter seating. Since I had made a reservation, there was no waiting time. Around 7 pm, more customers started to arrive. I had made a reservation for 6:30 pm on the day, but unfortunately, I was 30 minutes late due to overtime. I ordered a drink when I was on the train and rushed through the underground mall to get there. I apologize to the restaurant and everyone for making them wait without eating. This time, I ordered the specialty dish "Ichimonjuju" for 5,180 yen. When I made a reservation on Tabelog, there was a one-drink special offer. Lucky me! While enjoying a beer, the main dish of the day, the specialty Ichimonjuju, arrived. The tail that couldn't fit into the dish was so cute to me (laughs). You can choose the amount of rice as large, medium, or small for the same price. Since I didn't know the portion size, I asked for a medium. Next time, if there's beer, I think I'll be fine with a small portion! The eel was grilled crispy on the outside, tender and thick inside, with the fatty texture spreading in the mouth, maximizing the feeling of happiness! It was delicious eel without any muddy smell.
