I visited around 1:00 PM on a weekday. There was a wait of about 3 people. I got in after waiting for about 10 minutes. I had the Takaodon for about 1,100 yen. The tempura was freshly fried and delicious. The rice was also tasty with each grain distinct. They also had mentaiko, which made the rice even more enjoyable. However, I felt like something was missing.

I had the Takao set meal for lunch. I arrived a little after 11 am and the restaurant was already full by the time I sat down. It's quite a popular place. The restaurant is stylish and it's easy to dine alone. The tempura was not greasy and had a refreshing taste. The seaweed-infused mentaiko and pickled vegetables on the side were all you can eat. The seaweed-infused mentaiko was delicious! I ended up getting a second helping of the large portion. The set meal included pork, fish, shrimp, squid, and seasonal vegetables, all of which were delicious. I've found another restaurant I'd like to visit for lunch again!

The freshly fried tempura was delicious, and the rice was a little firm and paired very well with the spicy cod roe and kelp. I would like to go again.

It was nice to get a complimentary dish after downloading the app. They provided children's cutlery which made the kids happy. They also asked if we wanted the tempura cut for easier eating for the kids, which was a great consideration. The tempura had a crispy, thin coating, was piping hot, and had a nice texture. The side dishes included lightly pickled vegetables and sticky mentaiko with kombu, which were free for refills. It's a reasonably priced restaurant where you can enjoy freshly fried tempura, and I think it's recommended for tourists as well. Thank you for the meal. First visit. A tempura restaurant located in the basement of Parco. I ordered the "Kami Takao Teishoku" set meal. It comes with 1 meat, 2 fish, 2 shrimp, and 3 seasonal vegetables. It also includes white rice and miso soup. Konbu mentaiko and pickles are free for seconds. You can get extra white rice for 160 yen. The tempura had a relatively light batter and was quite light. The way they drained the oil was a bit sweet...

I wanted to eat something that would really fill me up, so I decided to visit this restaurant in Tokyo that I have been to before. They fry the tempura in batches, and everything was delicious, especially the conger eel and shiitake mushrooms. The cabbage pickles and mentaiko with kelp that came as side dishes were all-you-can-eat, which was a very nice service. Thank you for the meal! I will definitely come back again (^o^)

I went to Takao for the first time in a while. There was a line, so I looked at the menu given by the staff to decide what to order, and noticed that the prices had gone up. However, I really wanted to eat a lot at Takao today, so I didn't mind. The turnover was fast, so I was able to enter quickly. I ordered the usual meat and tempura set meal, as well as pork and white fish as single items. While eating the cabbage pickles served as a service, freshly fried tempura kept coming one after another. It was worth coming, as it was delicious as always. I ended up ordering more tempura than usual, but it wasn't greasy and I could eat it happily. Thank you for the meal. I will go eat there again soon.

Rino-chan (HKT48's Rino Sakamoto) went to Tempura Takao-san before a radio recording. There are several stores in Fukuoka, but she didn't clearly answer where it was when asked during the Showroom broadcast (it seems like she frequents the place for radio recordings, so it would be troublesome if she was identified and ambushed, right?). So, during her work break in Hakata this time, I went to the PARCO store. It was past lunchtime, so there was a long line. However, it moved pretty quickly. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter and ordered the same Takao set meal as Rino-chan for 1100 yen. I asked for less rice. It's nice how the food comes out one after another as soon as it's fried. First was the pork, big and tender, very delicious. It goes well with the rice. Next was the salmon. It was thick! It goes well with the rice too. The burdock was crispy and had a nice flavor. For a break, there was spicy seasoned cod roe. It was spicy! It made the rice go down smoothly. Next was lotus root, crunchy and tasty. Then came the miso soup with seaweed and nameko mushrooms. It had red miso. The eggplant was hot and juicy. The shrimp was tender, and the tail was crispy. The squid was tender. The cabbage and lotus root pickles made me want more rice. Finally, I also tried the red bean paste tempura that Rino-chan said was delicious for 180 yen. It was crispy on the outside and hot. It balanced out the spiciness of the seasoned cod roe.

When I went on a trip to Hakata with my friends, we went to have lunch. Freshly made tempura is served one after another, so you can enjoy the tempura while it's still hot. The mentaiko tempura is especially amazing. Also, you can have unlimited mentaiko as a side dish with rice, so you end up eating a lot without realizing it. Be careful not to consume too much salt.

After watching a movie at Marukizu, I had planned to eat tempura before heading home. However, the Marukizu store was very crowded with a long line and the operation was slow, so I couldn't get in at all. I decided to go back to Tenjin and ended up at this PARCO store instead. It was already 5:00 pm and I was able to enter without any trouble. We joked about how we would still be waiting in line if we had stayed at the previous store while toasting with our favorite beer set. The mentaiko kombu, which is all-you-can-eat, was delicious. It definitely goes well with rice, so I'll have to buy some to take home someday. Tempura is definitely best when it's freshly fried. It was crispy and delicious! Thank you for the meal.

I had the Takao set meal. The tempura was crispy, not greasy, and delicious. The green yuzu pepper goes well with the pork tempura. The oolong tea was also tasty. The kombu mentaiko had a nice level of spiciness with the use of spicy cod roe. It was really delicious. When I asked the person frying the tempura for an extra serving of mentaiko, they responded with a smile, which made me very happy. Despite the crowded restaurant and being busy, the fact that they could respond so kindly on the spot was impressive. The location is good, the prices are reasonable, and overall, it's a restaurant with excellent service. Highly recommended.

I extended my journey to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine and then returned to Tenjin for a late lunch here. Despite the late hour, the restaurant was full and I had to wait for a while before finally being seated. I wanted a set meal but also felt like having a beer... I found a bottle of Akahoshi beer and ordered tempura as a side dish. The tempura was brought to me in multiple servings, each batch freshly fried and piping hot. Everything was delicious. In Fukuoka, when it comes to tempura, "Hirao" is the go-to place, but "Takao" is also delicious! The style is similar to "Hirao" with tempura that is freshly fried and delicious. The difference is that "Hirao" offers all-you-can-eat salted fish guts, while "Takao" offers all-you-can-eat kombu mentaiko and pickles! Since it was my first time, I ordered the "Takao set meal" and the kombu mentaiko made the rice taste even better! They also have an interesting menu called the "Super Dry Set" for drinking. It's located in the Parco in Tenjin, so it's easy to access. The restaurant was bustling with couples and solo female customers. I really liked it!

The restaurant is narrow and even more cramped with infection prevention partitions. The counter seats are especially tight. I ordered the 900 yen "Takao set meal". It had a good amount of meat, fish, and vegetables. It was hot and crispy, very good. The rice was also delicious. The eggplant was tough and disappointing. The free cabbage was just sliced cabbage, not pickled cabbage, right? The mentaiko konbu was too salty! I don't need flavored salt, just plain salt is fine. I still prefer salted fish roe.

A certain famous tempura restaurant in Fukuoka offers unlimited squid shio-koji, but for someone like me who doesn't like squid shio-koji, Takao-san's unlimited kombu mentaiko might be more to my liking. The restaurant is a bit small but clean and has a sense of cleanliness, and the food was delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

Despite being always busy due to its location, I decided to visit after a long time. I ordered the "Takao set meal (1000 yen)" which comes with tempura, rice, miso soup, pickled vegetables, and seaweed-flavored spicy cod roe. The rice was delicious with a shiny texture. The lunch portion is normal size, but during lunchtime, you can get a free large portion. Additionally, they provide Oolong tea on the table. You can have unlimited servings of seaweed-flavored spicy cod roe and pickled vegetables. The cod roe had a nice level of spiciness and umami from the seaweed, so I had a second helping. The pork and white fish were fried crispy, but the pork had a bit too much fat. I couldn't identify the white fish. The burdock and pumpkin were tasty. The shrimp was large and delicious. The squid seemed to be Japanese flying squid, and it was cut skillfully making it easy to eat. The eggplant had a thin crispy coating, providing a nice texture. Overall, being able to enjoy freshly fried tempura at this price point is great.

There were about 10 people in line at Takao, but the turnover was quick so I was able to enter in about 15 minutes. I ordered the meat tempura set meal with an additional order of pork tempura. I always add on the pork tempura because I love it. Since I was alone, I was seated at the counter. I waited for the freshly fried tempura while enjoying the pickles that I love. They bring the pork tempura, vegetable tempura, and chicken tempura separately, so I can always enjoy them in their delicious state. It tasted great as always.

It's raining, so I decided to head underground to Tenjin and ended up at Parco. I realized I had forgotten about this restaurant. I was able to get a seat right away, so I ordered the Meat Tempura Set with extra rice. During lunchtime, they offer a free upgrade to a larger portion of rice, so it's a good deal. The food arrived quickly. I took a bite and it was delicious! The set included chicken wrapped in shiso leaves, pumpkin, burdock, two types of chicken, and eggplant. The freshly fried food was really tasty. However, even with the larger portion, I still felt like I needed more rice. I was tempted to get a refill, but decided against it and finished my meal.
