When it comes to Marlow, personally, it is a shop that I have known since my salaryman days over 30 years ago in Yokohama. In the past, you could only get Beaker Pudding, cakes, and biscotti in places like Yokosuka, Hayama, and Yokohama, but nowadays you can also find them in Tokyo. I feel the passage of time along with memories of Shonan. On this day, we stopped by at my wife's request. We purchased the seasonal limited Shonan Kiwi Fruit Jelly ¥972, Baked Mango Cheese Pudding ¥1,058, Shonan Gold and Honey Cheese Pudding ¥1,080. Although there were other seasonal limited items, we had a limit on how much we could eat in a few days, so we only bought these. Here are our personal impressions after sharing and eating each half:
- Shonan Kiwi Fruit Jelly
Initially, it was delicious, but with the unique bitterness of the kiwi and perhaps the quantity, it became a bit boring towards the end. All the items this time gave the impression of being too much in quantity.
- Baked Mango Cheese Pudding
At first, I thought it was too sweet, but with the cheese, the taste became more refined and delicious. However, the caramel sauce at the bottom was too sweet, and I think it could do without it.
- Shonan Gold and Honey Cheese Pudding
The cheese pudding with sweetened lemon slices on top had a consistent delicious sweet and sour taste. However, the quantity was still too much, and it might sell better if it was smaller. It may be a common issue, but perhaps they put a lot of effort into making these products and don't want to make them in smaller quantities. We finished all of them within the 2-day expiration date, and there are other seasonal limited items available, so it seems like an exciting development for those who love sweet treats. Thank you for the meal. P.S. We finished the Shonan Kiwi Fruit Jelly before taking a picture, but the image of it in the showcase is attached.
