The saba and tebasaki were plentiful and delicious! This saba sashimi for 450 yen is really tasty! It may not be live saba, but the bloodline is clean and it's surprising to have such fresh saba at this time. This restaurant is really top-notch, so I highly recommend it!

I came to Bayside Place Hakata to check out a new store. After finishing up quickly, I decided to eat sushi at Wangan Market inside Bayside Place. The sushi was delicious and fresh. Plus, everything was priced at 98 yen each, so it was a great deal. The only downside was that the seating area was a bit messy overall. However, since it's also available for takeout, you can enjoy your meal while looking out at the sea. Thank you for the meal!

I came to Bayside Place Hakata because my family was moving by boat from Hakata Port. It's been about 20 years since I last visited this area. Back then, I was brought here by my wife, who is a fan of Oda Yuji. I bought some senbei (rice crackers) from the souvenir corner because they had a cute kite design on the packaging. Speaking of which, why do they call rice crackers "senbei" in Nagasaki?

Adjacent to Hakata Port, the facility "Wangan Market" is a must-visit shop after using the super hot spring "Hanaba no Yu"! Inside the market, there are sushi, set meals, a supermarket, and a liquor store. The sushi buffet corner is attractive, with each piece priced at 99 yen. Luxurious items like sea urchin and medium fatty tuna are all the same price. The variety is abundant and it's fun to choose! Personally, I always select 4 pieces and enjoy them at an outdoor table while looking at the jet foil on Hakata Bay. I always enjoyed eating salmon and medium fatty tuna!

I bought some food and ate in. The beer was delicious and the atmosphere was great. The New Year's menu was also good, and I can go to the restaurant I wanted to visit at night. Cheers to that!

I visit the Bayside hot springs 2-3 times a month. I used to go to Nakagawa town before, but it was too far. Next to this hot spring, I found a delicious lunch spot. They have sushi, but I recommend the 880 yen seafood bowl. The rice is delicious, the sashimi is fresh, and the soy sauce has a nice sweetness to it. Plus, it comes with a hot soup. The only downside is that sometimes they have group reservations, so about 50 seats can be booked. They also offer a popular 1280 yen super seafood bowl with sea urchin for tour groups. It's important to cater to groups, but please remember to consider individual customers too. Also, the payment process at the register could be smoother. Bayside is gaining more customers, so keep up the good work!

On Saturday, the weather was nice so I went for a walk to Bayside Place. It's easily accessible by bus from Hakata Station and also serves as a ferry terminal, so there are a lot of foreign tourists. The market inside is fun to explore, with a variety of vegetables, side dishes, meat, fish, and affordable and generous bento boxes. The highlight of the market is the sushi buffet for only 97 yen per piece. The sushi pieces are big and comparable to those at larger chain conveyor belt sushi restaurants that cost 108 yen each. It's really good value for money! I chose sea urchin, salmon roe, fatty salmon, flying fish roe, and fatty tuna battleship sushi, totaling 485 yen. It's so cheap and delicious! There are also terrace seats outside the shop where you can enjoy your takeout sushi while overlooking the sea. It's the perfect location! Near Bayside Place, you can also find tourist attractions like the Port Tower, Marine Messe Fukuoka, and Fukuoka Sun Palace. Make sure to stop by before going to a concert or event!

Everyone, just as everyone has been posting, I was excited to visit the market, starting with seafood as the main attraction for delicious side dishes. When I visited at 6:00 pm, all bento boxes were half price. It's a hidden gem with great deals from the evening onwards. They have a selection and prices similar to Don Quijote. I also made sure to get cheese and wine. Taking advantage of the Costco fair, I bought a lot and had a fancy dining table. There are many events and sales, making this truly a market in Hakata! Thank you.

"Bayside Market" on the 1st floor is a food market with a variety of seafood and surprisingly, a good selection of meat as well. In one corner, there is a shop where they cook food, and I was drawn in by the beer posters. They were grilling pork legs on a plate for 300 yen each, with pickles on the side. I dug in and ate until the bones were clean. The beer was served in a cup filled about 70% for 300 yen, which was just the right amount. I wonder why they don't charge 500 yen for a full cup. Overall, it's a great place to shop at reasonable prices. - Restaurant Information: Bayside Market Phone: 092-292-7595 Address: 13-6 Tsukikomotocho, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City Hours: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

After having lunch at a saba (mackerel) restaurant in Hakata on the second day, I walked a bit to Susaki Park and headed to the bus stop. I'm going to Bayside Place (*^^) Hakata has a lot of bus routes coming to one bus stop, so it can be a bit confusing, but if you look it up properly, the transportation is really convenient. I ended up waiting about 30 minutes for the bus to Hakata Port, even though it's only a 5-minute ride once you're on the bus. When I finally got on the bus, I arrived quickly. ♪(o´∀`o) Yay yay ♪ Port Tower, here I come! You can climb Port Tower for free (*^^) I went up right away, but there wasn't much to see except for the view, so I went back down and found a captain's costume! I put on the hat and jacket, and took a commemorative photo in front of the ship (*^^) Inside this facility, there wasn't anything particularly interesting as I wandered around (lol) There were various restaurants, but I had just eaten the saba set meal earlier. There was a fresh food shop on the first floor. They were selling meat and fish, and I saw this corner at the back! Sushi buffet! 1 piece for 97 yen! Oh~ What kind of sushi do they have~ I thought it would be like supermarket deli food, but... huh? Doesn't it look really delicious? I can't help but feel curious about it~ Should I try one even though I just ate? I displayed my gluttonous nature! (*≧m≦*) I was really intrigued by the saba. And the overflowing tuna. I bought these at the register and ate them inside the shop. The soy sauce in Fukuoka is sweet, with a thick texture and sweetness that goes well with sashimi, making it delicious. And oh my goodness, the saba was so delicious! And the tuna, even though it's commonly delicious in the Kanto region, the tuna I had here was so good! It didn't feel like 97 yen sushi buffet at all. The saba was delicious! Extremely delicious! I was so happy to be able to eat such delicious sushi in an unexpected place! It seems like the main dishes at the restaurant are seafood bowls, so they must be really delicious!

This is a seafood restaurant located in the Chikko Bay & Bayside Place in Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. Bayside Place is the passenger handling division of Hakata Port, serving as the gateway to Hakata for both domestic and international travelers. The restaurant is located inside this terminal. Inside the restaurant, there are table seats and counter seats, with a variety of seafood souvenirs available. Even on weekdays, the place is quite lively with foreign visitors. The seafood bowl here is recommended, priced at ¥680 and comes with miso soup with fish ingredients. Although sea urchin is not included in the seafood bowl, it contains over 10 types of sashimi, making it a satisfying choice. The staff members seem to be mostly foreigners, as many of them speak broken Japanese (but they can communicate in Japanese just fine).

The place is in Building B on the 1st floor, at the corner on the south side. They offer around 20 types of nigiri sushi, all priced at 95 yen each, and also sell seafood. You can also order sashimi. You take your order to a table or counter seat, and then order drinks, soup, or anything else you want. You can also add more nigiri sushi to your order. To pay, you bring your "payment slip" to the common floor register. This time, I ordered 9 pieces of nigiri sushi, 2 glasses of rock shochu, and fisherman's soup. The nigiri sushi had a good amount of fresh seafood on bite-sized rice. The shochu was only 150 yen per glass, so it was a great deal. The fisherman's soup came in a bowl similar to a rice bowl, with a delicious broth made from fish bones and plenty of fish pieces. I found out that you can also order dishes like seafood bowl or tempura set meal after sitting down at the table. I noticed someone at a nearby table ordered a super seafood bowl with fisherman's soup for 1,200 yen, which came in a wooden box or tray and looked very luxurious and delicious. The regular seafood bowl with fisherman's soup was 780 yen. The prices were reasonable, and the lunch was delicious.

Visited in November 2013. Currently rated 3.17 out of 5, with 3 reviews. This place is very difficult to reach. I wanted to go to the Marine World Umino-Nakamichi aquarium and chose to go by boat. I took a bus to get here. However, everyone, be aware. The number of boat services is very limited! Well, I had no choice but to wander around here for an hour and a half until the boat time. So, we had lunch at this sushi restaurant. I had eaten too much at the market in the morning, so I wasn't sure what to do, but when I saw the sushi here, the slices were big and they had fish from Hakata like "ara" and "nodoguro." I ended up buying a lot. The tuna was average, but for us Tokyo tourists, it was a good amount for the price and it was delicious. There may not be many customers due to the location, but I hope this restaurant will continue to do well.

Around 12:00 on a regular weekday, I decided to visit Bayside Place for the first time in 10 years. It was quiet overall due to being a weekday. A group of elementary school students were walking around on a field trip. There are various shops on the 1st and 2nd floors. Towards the back of a shop selling dried fish, you can see a cafeteria that stands out from afar. The customers were mostly office workers and middle-aged women. I was contemplating what to eat - the seafood bowl was a bit pricey. However, I noticed people eating packed sushi, so I asked the cashier. They explained that you can pack the sushi from the buffet line (95 yen per piece) and eat it in the cafeteria. The sushi on display looked delicious, so I decided to have lunch that way. Each piece of sushi was bigger and tastier than the 100 yen conveyor belt sushi. I chose red snapper (which was amazing), one piece of conger eel, thread-sail filefish, seared belt fish, natural sea bream, and sardine. They were all delicious. The price per piece was almost double that of 100 yen sushi, but the taste was worth it. If you get carried away and eat a lot, it can add up, but the taste won't disappoint. We unknowingly parked in the public parking lot, but if you park in the Bayside Place parking lot next to the public bathhouse, you can get 1 hour of free parking with a purchase of 1,000 yen. However, even on a weekday, that parking lot was full.
