It was sunny and warm at 11:30 am today! I took a paid leave for my parent's care and visited Osaka Prefectural Acute Medical Center before noon. Even though they have appointment-based consultations, it always takes a long time at large hospitals for some reason. First, I decided to grab a bite to eat. Surprisingly, there are not many dining options near the hospital, even though it's close by. I parked my car in the hospital parking lot and visited a place called "Shouya" that I found on Tabelog! It's only a 3-minute walk from the hospital. The restaurant doesn't look particularly stylish, to be honest. The owners, who I assume are a married couple, were very friendly and welcoming! Since it was my first visit, I ordered their signature dish, the "Shouya Ramen." As it was only the third customer since opening, the food was served promptly, in about 5 minutes! First impressions count, so let's start with the appearance. The broth had a layer of fat floating on top, giving off quite a "rich" vibe. The chashu pork was also quite greasy. Honestly, I thought to myself, "Is this dish more suited for young people?" Now, let's taste the soup. "Wow! This tastes nothing like it looks! ❤" Despite its rich appearance, it's actually a delicate soy sauce-based ramen. I was genuinely surprised by this. I could sense a hint of nuttiness and it was quite delicious. The menu describes it as having a "light yet deeply flavorful taste," and that's no lie. The soy sauce broth and the fat blend quite well. For us middle-aged and elderly folks, this is the best! The noodles were average, but they paired well with the soup. Finally, the chashu pork. "This chashu is incredibly delicious! It melts in your mouth~ The portion is also quite generous! If the ramen broth was greasy, this chashu would not work. It's the perfect balance that makes this chashu shine in Shouya Ramen's soy sauce broth! This harmony is amazing, and I was truly impressed today. With this quality at this price point, the cost performance is also excellent. "Thank you for the meal today!" I will be visiting again in a few months when I have to go to the hospital.

Ramen Waraya @ Sumiyoshi Ward Mandai On June 8, 2021, I stopped by here for lunch after my rehabilitation session, zooming in on my bicycle. The menu looks like this (^皿^) Hehe. It's located next to the Prefectural Acute Care Medical Center. During lunchtime, the regular rice (150 yen) is discounted by 100 yen, so it's only 50 yen, a great deal (laughs). Waraya Ramen (pork bone soy sauce) for 700 yen. The tender thick slices of chashu are exquisite!! Both the soup and noodles are delicious. The bill came to 750 yen, a reasonable price for a satisfying meal. Thank you very much. From a blog post:
I had lunch at a shop right next to a large hospital and a pharmacy – the shop is called "Ramen Shoya" offering soy sauce and tonkotsu flavored ramen. The shop has an L-shaped counter with a maximum of 16 seats, and a spacious kitchen. The menu includes miso ramen for 800 yen and Shoya ramen for 700 yen. I also added some gyoza for 300 yen, which was delicious when dipped in vinegar and chili oil. The ramen had curly noodles and a flavorful soup, with three slices of tasty chashu. I topped my rice with gyoza, chashu, bean sprouts, and green onions, poured the ramen soup over it, and enjoyed every last bite. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal at this old-fashioned ramen shop in Osaka.

Lunch today was at this place next to the Acute Care General Medical Center!! The menu looks like this (^皿^) Hehe. There aren't many lunch options around here, but it's quite delicious. During lunchtime, you can get a regular size rice for only 50 yen, which is a great deal. The ramen (soy sauce) costs 700 yen. The thick slices of tender chashu are amazing! The bean sprouts, boiled fresh each time, are delicious and keep the soup hot. I would definitely want to come back to this place. Thank you for the meal (^^v)

In November of the 30th year of Heisei era, during lunchtime (11:30-14:30), I had the soy sauce ramen at Waraiya Ramen for 700 yen including tax, along with a side of rice for 50 yen. This restaurant is located near the General Medical Center and offers a good cost performance for a delicious meal.

I often go there because it's close to my workplace. I always order the "Chashu Ramen, extra large" for 1,200 yen. The rich pork bone soy sauce soup is delicious and the thick slices of chashu are crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside.

"I visited 'Ramen Waraya' in Sumiyoshi-ku and tried their Shoyu Ramen (700 yen). The nearest station is Tezukayama-Sanchome Station on the Hankai Tramway Uemachi Line. The menu includes Shoyu Ramen (700 yen), Miso Ramen (800 yen), Salt Ramen (700 yen), Chashu (+300 yen), and Large size (+200 yen). The Shoyu Ramen has a light taste with a good balance of soy sauce and a pork bone broth that is not too strong. The soup has a light back fat and the noodles are medium-thin straight noodles with a good texture. The chashu is tender with a nice flavor. They also offer a value rice set menu."

Yes, this ramen shop is located around Bandai Pond and has a high rating on Tabelog. It is easy to find and enter. I ordered miso ramen and a mini chashu rice bowl. It was delicious. The noodles didn't seem to have any special appeal, but the chashu was fairly tasty. It's just a normal ramen shop, I suppose. Smoking is mentioned as a negative point, but it wasn't that bad.

I went to work at Gyokushutsu. The other day, I had delicious rich pork bone ramen in this area, and this time I was searching for where to have lunch ramen. I was also interested in other menus from the same restaurant, but since I rarely come to this area, I decided to try a new place... and somehow chose "Waraya". I parked my car at the coin parking next to the restaurant. It was just past noon on a weekday, and the restaurant was almost full. I went to an empty seat, but the girlfriend of the couple next to me was slurping loudly. It was unbearable, so I moved to another seat with leftover items from the previous customer. At that moment, I noticed a sign on the menu board for "Shrimp Salt Ramen" that said "Sold out!" Oh no! I came here to try the shrimp salt ramen! I felt like leaving the restaurant, but I had already parked my car and it was lunchtime during work... so I reluctantly ordered the "Waraya Ramen" rice set! I waited for a while. However, the new customers who sat on my left were also slurping loudly... I wanted to leave the restaurant... damn it! In this situation, I had to hope for a grand slam with the "Waraya Ramen"! And it arrived! The ramen was served in a shallow, wide dish that resembled a Nagasaki chanpon bowl, with a pork bone soy sauce soup that looked like miso ramen at first glance. It had three small slices of pork chashu, chopped green onions, bean sprouts, and sesame seeds. Oil was floating on the surface of the soup. Now, will it be a grand slam? Unfortunately, it wasn't! It was just average. The flavor was okay, slightly salty. If this restaurant were local, I might come occasionally, but I wouldn't go out of my way to visit. The owner and the lady owner seemed nice, but they couldn't handle the capacity during busy times (leaving leftover items unattended for a long time). The soup was a salty pork bone soy sauce. The noodles were medium thickness and cooked just right. The chashu and other toppings lacked uniqueness. It was a generic ramen. So, due to the loud slurping, it was a negative experience. Looking back, the "Shrimp Salt Sold Out!" sign seemed quite worn out... considering the customer turnover at that time... maybe they never had the shrimp salt ramen to begin with? I probably won't go back. But the owner and the lady owner seemed nice... Thank you for the meal.

I visited this restaurant for the first time after reading reviews on Tabelog. The place had a radio playing with horse racing commentary, and there was only one other customer when I went around 1 pm. I ordered the tsukemen and gyoza. The tsukemen didn't taste like typical ramen shop tsukemen, it was more like cold noodles with a tsukemen twist. The soup was cold with lots of tomatoes and a slightly spicy taste. It was very light, so I would recommend it for those feeling a bit of summer fatigue. The chashu was not too fatty and thick, and it was delicious. The gyoza was also tasty, with a strong flavor that didn't need any sauce. It was packed with meat and vegetables. Next time, I want to try the shrimp salt ramen.

Today on the way to Sakai, I made a little detour and went to Ramen Waraya. The shop is located on the north side of Abeno-suji, near the Prefectural General Medical Center. There is a 100 yen service for using the neighboring coin parking. The shop has a long L-shaped counter and is run by two veteran men. I ordered the top menu item, Waraya Ramen (regular size), and gyoza. The soup is made with pork bone broth and soy sauce seasoning, with a hint of spiciness. It has a nice punch and a moderate richness from the back fat, making it quite delicious. The noodles are medium-thin straight egg noodles. They were a bit too soft for my liking. It would be nice if they asked for preferences like the doneness of the noodles. The toppings included chopped green onions, plenty of bean sprouts, and a sweet-flavored seasoned egg (extra 100 yen). The highly recommended char siu had a good balance of lean meat and melt-in-your-mouth fatty parts. The dumplings had a coarse texture, which was interesting. The ramen is available in regular and large sizes, but it would be nice to have a half-size option for women or patients from the nearby hospital. Ramen Ko-ya (Beta) m(_ _)m

"Ramen Waraya" Tezukayama 3-7, July 28th I went to "Waraya" located a little north of the Osaka Prefectural Acute Care Hospital along Abeno-Suji in Sumiyoshi-ku, Osaka. If you click on the blog ranking, I would be happy.
The seating is at a spacious L-shaped counter with about 15 seats, so you can sit comfortably. I was curious about the limited 20 servings per day of "Shrimp Salt Ramen," but since it was my first visit, I ordered the "Waraya Ramen" with the restaurant's name. The soup is a light soy pork bone with floating lard, and it is lighter than it looks and easy to drink. The toppings include chashu, bean sprouts, and green onions. The noodles are medium-thin straight noodles with a slightly soft texture. They go well with the soup and have a good texture. The chashu topping has a good balance of fatty and lean meat, and it tastes very good. Next time, I would like to try the "Shrimp Salt Ramen" that caught my eye this time. Thank you for reading until the end! Please click here as well, thank you.

Masuooyama-san, Arare-chan, tonomegu55-san, nobujii-san, and everyone, high ratings~♪ It's in my neighborhood~♪ "I gotta go check it out!!" so I went~♪ It was past 9 pm on a weekday. After enjoying sake at "Azuma," it's time for the finishing ramen~♪ I opened the sliding door and entered, finding myself as the only customer. The master was watching TV in the deep back of the shop. Everyone praised the chashu, so I ordered the "chashu ramen" without hesitation~♪
Soup... Not exactly light, but despite the presence of seablura, the soup was surprisingly gentle, with a strong soy sauce flavor giving an overall soft impression~♪
Noodles... Medium-thin straight noodles, which I think suit tonkotsu soy sauce ramen the best. They were slightly softer than I prefer, but I believe you can request them firmer (the master seemed kind).
Noteworthy is the chashu... It comes with 5 slices by default, thick with tender lean meat and melt-in-your-mouth fatty parts, delicious~♪~♪ Yum, yum~♪~♪
However, the closing time is early for a ramen shop, at 10 pm... If they were open until around midnight, my wife and I would definitely stop by (we might turn into pigs though (laughs))

Today, I had some errands in the direction of Bandai Higashi in Sumiyoshi-ku, so I was looking for a delicious ramen shop. I came across the sign for Ramen Waraya and decided to go in. I ordered the signature Waraya Ramen and my wife ordered the limited 20 servings of Shrimp Salt Ramen. The Waraya Ramen arrived first. I tried the soup right away and it was unexpectedly light despite the visible back oil. The noodles were medium thin and slightly soft, and the char siu was just the right amount of tender without being too fatty. It was delicious. The limited Shrimp Salt Ramen had a strong shrimp flavor and was very tasty, although the portion felt a bit small. The gyoza was juicy and delicious when bitten into. I wish I had ordered the Shrimp Salt Ramen too. I want to come back to try it next time. Oh, I came to eat at 12 o'clock for lunch today, but there were no other customers at first. Two people came in later, but I was a little worried. Hang in there, Waraya!

Today, I went to buy duck meat in Matsubara and stopped by Yorimichi on the way back. It seems like they have been closed for a while, but I wonder when they reopened. If you park your car at the coin parking lot next to the north, they will cover 100 yen for you. The fee has been revised to 200 yen for 600 minutes, effectively costing you 100 yen. The shrimp salt ramen was sold out, so I ordered the Laughing House Ramen instead. The soup is a light pork bone broth with soy sauce seasoning and richness from the back fat, creating a delicious and gentle flavor. The noodles are straight and thin, with a good texture and excellent compatibility with the soup. The toppings include bean sprouts, green onions, and very tasty pork belly char siu. I definitely want to try the shrimp salt ramen next time.

I went to a ramen shop next to the Osaka Prefectural Hospital called "Ramen Waraya". The interior was more spacious than it looked from the outside, with only a counter for seating. I enjoyed some delicious gyoza while waiting for my ramen. I ordered the "Shrimp Salt Ramen", which is limited to 20 servings per day. It was a bit pricey at 850 yen, but the ramen was tasty with two shrimp in it. The egg was also delicious. As someone who prefers lighter flavors, I found the saltiness a bit strong towards the end. I would like to try their regular ramen next time. Overall, it was a place that made me want to come back.

I visited for lunch earlier. I had been curious about this place for a while, especially after seeing Arare-chan's review. The char siu was said to be delicious, and it did not disappoint. I ordered the soy sauce char siu ramen (950 yen) and gyoza (300 yen). The noodles were egg noodles, and the soup was a pork bone soy sauce broth that was light and went well with the noodles. And the char siu... it was incredibly tasty! It reminded me of the delicious char siu at Yoy-san, but slightly softer. The gyoza was crispy, chewy, and juicy, with just the right amount of flavor! I'd like to try the shio and miso ramen next since they have those options too. Apparently, they have a unique shrimp salt ramen that I definitely want to try as well! *I got permission to take photos.
