Over the weekend, I ended up becoming a lunch refugee as I hadn't decided on a place to eat in Tenjin. I visited a relatively large restaurant called "Yokatai," but it seemed that weekend lunches were more focused on drinking during the day. So, I decided to visit "Gyushin Shokudo" located in the same Solaria Stage building. The restaurant had a main counter with 23 seats and a few tables for 4 and 2 people. It was crowded, so I had to wait for about 5 minutes before being seated at the counter. I noticed that "Gyushin," a Fukuoka local beef bowl chain, had been renovated a few years ago and renamed "Gyushin Shokudo." They offered a variety of rice bowl dishes and set meals. I decided to try the "Chicken Nanban Set Meal" that I saw on the sample display outside. The Chicken Nanban was generously topped with pink-colored tartar sauce with a lot of ketchup, and the batter was soaked in Nanban vinegar. The balance of sweetness and acidity in the meat juice that oozed out in my mouth was delicious and did not disappoint. The rice, which I didn't have high expectations for, was also tasty, and the miso soup had plenty of tofu and seaweed in it. Although it was a bit late, it was a satisfying lunch experience.

I arrived at the restaurant around 11:30 am on a regular day. About 40% of the seats were already taken, and it was almost full afterwards. I had visited a few times before, but it had been about 10 years since my last visit. I decided to try the curry katsudon that caught my attention from the reviews. The curry katsudon arrived in about 2 minutes, and you could see the curry and katsudon parts separately on the surface. I started by eating the katsudon part to avoid mixing with the strong flavor and aroma of the curry. I felt that the sweetness of the dashi in the katsudon part was lacking for a katsudon. As for the curry part, it had a typical sweet and light taste without the depth of flavor you would expect from a katsudon curry. It was neither good nor bad, just a dish that was average for its price.

Today, I visited a set meal restaurant located in the Solaria Stage. I decided to try it out since I was nearby. The interior of the restaurant had counter seats and table seats, with a decent number of seats available. Customers ranged from individuals to groups, reflecting the diverse location. Despite initially thinking it was a beef specialty restaurant based on the name, it turned out to offer a variety of set meals. I ordered the "Beef Steak Set Meal" as it was recommended in the menu with a photo. The taste was decent, although the beef steak wasn't very thick. Considering the price, the quality of the meat was acceptable and it was tender, so I enjoyed it. Thank you for the meal.

First visit. A diner located in the basement of Tenjin Parco. I was wandering around the Parco basement looking for lunch, and I decided to come here because there was no need to wait in line. It was perfect for me as I was looking for a Japanese meal before going abroad for a month. The staff were attentive and friendly.

I had a late lunch in the Tenjin area of Fukuoka and stopped by a restaurant tucked away in the underground shopping area. I ordered the Katsudon for 660 yen. It was a bit past 2 pm on a holiday, so there were only a few customers around. It's rare to find a reasonably priced eatery like this in the bustling Tenjin area. The dish arrived in about 3 minutes - a very standard Katsudon. It was satisfying to have a regular Katsudon in Tenjin at a reasonable price of 660 yen. The dish came with a half-cooked egg on top, and I enjoyed it with some shichimi pepper sprinkled on top.

I visited this restaurant located underground in the Solaria Stage of Tenjin for the first time in years. I decided on the hamburger set meal from the menu board. By the way, the hamburger set meal could be chosen with a Japanese or Western style, but it automatically came out in a Western style. The hamburger was somewhat flat but had a soft texture. The demi-glace sauce that was poured over it didn't taste too salty at first, so I added a lot while eating. However, I later found the taste to be extremely strong. If the demi-glace sauce had been a bit mellower, it would have been more to my liking. It was good to be able to eat a decent amount for less than 1,000 yen at night.

I went out because I had business with Tenjin, but unfortunately it was raining. The rain was heavier than I expected, so I gave up on looking for a lunch spot and decided to settle for something nearby. I checked out the options in the Solaria Plaza B2F area and Parco's underground area, but nothing caught my eye. So, I decided to prioritize cost and went to "Gyukara Shokudo Tenjin Store" to have a rice bowl. It was past 12 o'clock, and the restaurant was almost full. I was hungry for a rice bowl, so when I looked at the menu, I saw something called "Curry Katsu Don" for 610 yen. I was puzzled by the combination of curry and katsu. I thought, if it's curry and katsu, why not just have Katsu Curry Don? But I was curious, so I decided to order it. When the "Curry Katsu Don" was served, I understood. It was a combination of katsu don and curry side by side. The katsu don part was a decently thick cutlet with a flavorful Japanese-style egg topping. The boundary between the katsu don and curry had a mixed taste, leaning towards a sweet Japanese-style curry flavor. The curry itself was average, tasting like a pre-made product, but when eaten together, it didn't bother me much. The combination itself was intriguing, more like a novelty menu item. Overall, it was okay, but not as good as the katsu don from a beef bowl restaurant. Thank you for the meal.

I visited the restaurant for the first time before 3 pm on a regular day. Even at this time, there were already 50% of customers seated. I was hungry as work was not done yet, so I ordered a "Jumbo" katsudon and curry. I was attracted by the name. I placed my order by telling the staff after being seated. The food was served in 4 to 5 minutes. The pork cutlet was quite thick. The rice seemed to be about twice the normal amount. The curry was like school curry, lacking spiciness for me, so I added some shichimi pepper from the table. I found a place just a 2-minute walk from my workplace where I can get full quickly when I'm hungry. I will visit again when I'm hungry.

I was walking around hungry and stopped by a restaurant on my way to Tenjin Station. I saw a menu item that combined katsudon and curry, which I thought was unusual, so I decided to order it! I usually don't order large portions when eating out, but this time I spontaneously asked for a large serving. It was a huge amount of food, but I managed to finish it. The staff were very kind and helpful. Thank you for the meal.

Stable set meal #Gyushin Shokudo {Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City} On August 25, 2022 (Thursday), I went to Gyushin Shokudo. This place is located on the 2nd floor underground of Solaria Stage, a dining floor. Actually, it was my first time entering this restaurant. The menu looked very delicious with reasonable prices. There were so many options that I had a hard time deciding. I ordered the pork ginger stir-fry set meal for 780 yen (tax included). It came with miso soup and pickled Chinese cabbage. The dish was full of meat! It had a nice aroma of ginger and soy sauce. The rice portion was sufficient even without ordering extra. I was full and satisfied with this affordable lunch. Address: 2-11-3, Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City, Solaria Stage, B2F. Closed on holidays.

The turnover rate at Tenjin during lunchtime is high and the menu is extensive (with hearty options). If you're torn between curry and katsudon, go for this (even though you're still hesitating). I found a great menu item...and as I wait for my food, surrounded by people ordering Chicken Nanban one after another, I wonder if I made a mistake? No, this is good too. Next time, I'll try the Chicken Nanban!

I feel like having some gyudon (beef bowl). It's been a while since I visited "Gyushin Shokudo" in Tenjin. It used to be called Gyushin, but it seems like they changed the name and added more items to the menu. With all the news about a certain gyudon chain's executive causing trouble at a marketing seminar, suddenly I had a craving for gyudon. The gyudon here has a rich flavor and costs 540 yen. It's not as mild as the white wine-flavored gyudon at the chain store, with a slightly sharper taste, but it's still good. I used to eat gyudon in Nakasu after watching a movie 40 years ago... brings back memories.

I wanted to quickly grab a meal around 3 pm on a regular day, so I peeked into the basement of the Solaria Stage Building and saw that "Gyuhatsu" seemed to be empty, so I immediately went in. It had been quite a while since I last visited, maybe over 10 years ago. I think the first time I tried beef bowl at a restaurant may have been at "Gyuhatsu." It was probably at a different location in the Tenjin area before the Solaria Stage Building was even built. It was definitely before I first entered "Yoshinoya." The old "Gyuhatsu" used to be a beef bowl specialty store. When I looked at the menu after a long time, I noticed that the number of items had increased significantly. The name of the restaurant had changed from "Gyuhatsu" to "Gyuhatsu Shokudo." They served me cold tea. I ordered the "Hamburger Curry" (700 yen). I chose the hamburger topping, which I could easily eat with a spoon. As planned, the hamburger was easy to eat with a spoon. The curry had very few chunks of ingredients and was more like a smooth blend. I imagined they finely chopped a large amount of onions and caramelized them before simmering. The quality of the rice was quite good. I quickly finished my meal. It's a nimoca member store, but they only give 1 point for a 220 yen payment, which is a bit stingy. Instead, I used SMART ICOCA to pay, which is expected to earn about three times the points during the campaign for charging.

In the evening of that day, Junichiro Inukai (37, single) stood there in a daze. He was alone in the Keigo Park. Fifteen minutes ago, Inukai had met a woman he had matched with on a dating app. The woman was 31 years old, six years younger than Inukai, and worked as a store manager at an apparel shop in Tenjin. She enjoyed reading and listening to Shiina Ringo's music. Inukai's unique and interesting messages on LINE had caught her attention, and she had expressed a desire to meet him in person. Inukai had eagerly agreed, but he had some doubts. The woman had not posted a clear photo of her face, so he was worried about what she might look like in person. As he waited in the park, the woman arrived a little late but she was charming. She was generally considered to be beautiful, with a petite frame and a bob hairstyle that suited her well. She smiled warmly at Inukai, who felt relieved. They sat on a bench, exchanged light introductions, and discussed where to go for dinner. The woman suggested Okinawan cuisine or yakitori. Inukai joked that he only had 3,000 yen and suggested udon, but quickly reassured her that he was kidding. He was visibly happy and relieved that she was beautiful. However, as the conversation progressed, the woman's demeanor changed. She became quiet and eventually stood up, looking down at Inukai with a stern expression. She criticized him for judging women based solely on their appearance and expressed her disappointment in him. She declared that she could never be friends with someone like him and left without another word. Inukai was left speechless and shaken by her forceful words. He watched her walk away and checked his American-made triangular watch. Only fifteen minutes had passed since their meeting time. Inukai tried to make light of the situation by joking about setting a new record for the shortest rejection time, but he couldn't shake off the feeling of rejection. He later shared the incident with a younger colleague, who bluntly told him that he lacked sensitivity. Inukai realized that he had made a mistake in his attempt to compliment the woman. He pondered on the complexity of the human heart, feeling lost in understanding women's emotions. Inukai decided to have lunch at Gyu-Shin Shokudo to eat beef heart. He wondered if he could understand the heart of a cow since he couldn't understand the heart of a human. He ordered the beef yakiniku set meal for 780 yen and enjoyed the familiar taste of Ebara yakiniku sauce. It reminded him of the meals at Matsuya, Sukiya, and Yoshinoya. It was a simple and satisfying meal, much like his experience with human emotions. It seemed that Inukai couldn't understand the hearts of cows or humans.

I went out in the morning to visit the hospital and ended up finishing around 3 pm. I was really hungry by then. I could have just gone home for dinner, but I found myself wandering into a dining area when changing trains on the subway. I chose to eat at this place that seemed casual and welcoming. The restaurant was filled with people quietly enjoying their meals, which put me at ease. I was tempted by the Mini Katsudon Set for 500 yen, but I couldn't resist ordering the Curry Katsudon for 560 yen instead. (I love both katsudon and curry!) My meal arrived in less than 5 minutes. Let's dig in~ The dish is a mix of katsudon and curry, with the katsudon portion sitting on top of the curry. I decided to start with the katsudon part before the katsu got soaked in the curry. The katsu was about 7mm thick, with a rich flavor that was delicious. And now, the curry. It tasted a bit like a store-bought one, but it was surprisingly good. As I ate, I couldn't help but think, "I can't believe I'm eating such junk food..." But it was too late to do anything about it, and I felt satisfied, so I let it go. I'm too lenient with myself. Still, I think it's better to eat katsudon and curry separately. Thank you for the meal~.

Today, I felt like eating meat, so I ended up here. I was also interested in the steak, but since there were no actual pictures, I decided to go with the garlic steak. The meat was thick, tender, and very delicious. This underground area has a variety of shops, so I always end up coming here while shopping. Thank you for the meal.

I had some time before catching the bus, so I decided to stop by this restaurant. I ordered the fried chicken curry rice and it was served in about 5 minutes. The curry was delicious, a little on the sweet side. The fried chicken was decent, about what you would expect for the price. I quickly finished my meal and headed to the bus stop. Thank you for the meal.

I was planning to eat a sukiyaki set meal that I saw at the storefront. But when I sat at the counter and checked the menu, I saw that they also had a mapo tofu set meal, which was 50 yen cheaper than the sukiyaki. I decided to go with that. While waiting for my food, I noticed that many other customers were ordering the beef bowl, which seemed to be a specialty. The next popular choice seemed to be the pork cutlet bowl. Although I was tempted by the bowl dishes, I thought a set meal would be more suitable for my long-term business trip. When my mapo tofu set meal arrived, I was impressed by the generous portion. The leeks added a nice touch and color to the dish. The thinly sliced meat was well-marinated, and I enjoyed the chewy texture of the meat. The tofu was plentiful and soaked up the flavors well. The sweet sauce was not too strong, so I decided to mix the raw egg with the rice and toppings to make a delicious tamago kake gohan. The pickles provided a refreshing break between bites. I was very pleased with the generous portion of the mapo tofu set meal.

【Taste】Arrived in 5 minutes after ordering - so fast! Let me take a bite... Delicious! The ingredients include beef, onions, cabbage, leeks, tofu, and udon noodles, and the portion is generous. The flavor is not too strong, so I think it's fine to eat even in the morning.
【Service】The service speed is very fast.
【Atmosphere】The atmosphere is casual and welcoming.
【Cost Performance】I think the price for the beef hot pot set meal is reasonable. Thank you for the meal!

At the complex commercial facility "Solaria Stage" in Fukuoka, Tenjin, there is a food court on the basement 2nd floor called "Restaurant Ajino Town." In "Gyushin Shokudo," you can enjoy a unique dish called "Gokake," which combines two out of the three options: spicy Indian curry, sweet beef curry, and Hayashi rice. They also offer the "Kubokari Plate," which includes spicy chicken curry, minced chicken with chicken cartilage and leek, and sambar (a South Indian curry). In addition to the usual curry dishes, they serve a special dish called "Curry Katsudon," where tonkatsu (deep-fried pork cutlet) is topped with curry. The dish transitions from the world of katsudon to curry and finally to omurice (omelette rice), creating a unique and delicious experience. The menu also includes curry rice with a generous amount of beef in the center. Prices range from 490 yen for curry rice to 660 yen for the "Curry Katsudon" set with miso soup and salad.
