I had soft serve ice cream at the JA Kitami Okhotsk direct sales office the day before, and I thought the soft serve ice cream here would taste the same. But on this day, it seemed a bit bland to me... Maybe my taste buds are off. Anyway, thanks for the meal! I'll definitely come back for more soft serve ice cream next time I stop by the restroom.

On April 30, 2023, we went on another drive, with the initial destination being Wakkanai. Although there wasn't a specific place we were eager to visit, my wife had a place she wanted to go, so we kept moving around. Along the way, we stopped at a roadside station called Okoppe. The reason for the visit was that my wife wanted to buy some cheese. The station had a shop with various products on display, including cheese, milk, and other dairy products. What caught my attention was the Okoppe ham hot dog. My wife bought it along with the cheese and sausages. The staff asked if we wanted it heated, so we said yes. Back in the car, I took a bite of the hot dog. Surprisingly, it was delicious! The bread was tasty, and the sausage was flavorful. The simple ketchup and mustard seasoning complemented the sausage well. It was so good that I finished it in no time. My wife jokingly mentioned that she wanted a bite too. I felt a bit guilty for eating it all by myself, but once it's eaten, it's gone. I was happy to have encountered such a delicious hot dog. Thank you for the meal!

I arrived at a Michinoeki in Okoppe. The name is quite unique and memorable even in Hokkaido, where there are many unique place names. The Michinoeki sells dairy products like cheese and meats like sausages. It seems like dairy farming is famous here. The previous customer bought a large amount of sausages and cheese. I have high hopes for the soft serve ice cream. I quickly placed my order. It seems to melt very easily. I'm not sure why, maybe because it has a lot of milk content. I need to eat it quickly. The texture is very light and the milk flavor is strong. It's not overly sweet and has a gentle taste. This is a high-quality soft serve ice cream. You can really taste the milk. I visited Okoppe while on a business trip to Kembu. If you visit Okoppe, you have to try the milk, right? Here at the Michi no Eki Okoppe, they have a variety of dairy products available. During this season, they are using milk from Norusupurein Farm for their soft serve ice cream. I decided to order one. It seems they change the milk they use depending on the season and the taste was really good. I enjoyed the soft serve ice cream feeling the cool breeze of early spring. This is Koibumi. It's been a while since I last came. When it's hot, you feel like eating soft serve ice cream, right? So, I ended up buying one even though I didn't plan to. That's the magic of soft serve ice cream haha. The soft serve ice cream costs 300 yen and it's from North Plain Farm in Koibumi. It's not too sweet, with a rich milk flavor, and it's delicious! It has a lot of milk, so it melts easily. That's why it's so light. It was delicious! Thank you for the meal!

I had to make a sudden day trip to Okoppe Town and during my lunch break, I stopped by the Okoppe Roadside Station. They have several parking lots available. Last time I visited, they were closed, but this time they were open! I purchased the "Soft Serve Ice Cream (Milk flavor) (300 yen)" and it was amazing! The sweetness was just right, exactly what my body was craving. The soft serve was rich and sweet, just the way it should be. In front of the roadside station, there is a small fountain and benches where I could leisurely enjoy my soft serve ice cream.

August 2019, Day 3 of the family trip in northern Hokkaido. I admit it's a terrible title (*-∀-*)ゞｴﾍﾍ That's because I'm writing this review while guzzling a cheap 1500ml bottle of wine that my mother bought for 700 yen. Even though I have work tomorrow and the day after...(^_^;) Please listen to this nonsense from a guy who knows nothing about wine. Isn't wine supposed to be sipped like water? (laughs) So, this is "Michi no Eki Okoppe". I took a week off for summer vacation, so I thought about getting souvenirs for my coworkers. Just kidding. I actually came for the stamps. Delicious and cheap snacks with numbers on them can only be found at "Kin○ya" with their Sapporo Agricultural School cookies (laughs). I decided not to buy snacks at the roadside station and only bought drinking yogurt to take home. "Ohotsuku Okoppe Organic Drinking Yogurt" costs 250 yen. It says "organic" in the product name, but what does it mean by "organic"? Putting that aside, I gulp it down. It's rich, refreshing, and easy to drink.

From Cape Soya, heading south towards the Sea of Okhotsk, we arrived at Okoppe Town. For fans of "Wednesday's What About?", also known as "Dobaka," we cannot ignore this place. We stopped by at the Michi-no-Eki (roadside station) Okoppe and tried their Okoppe milk and soft serve ice cream. Location: Located slightly off Route 238, the Michi-no-Eki has plenty of parking space. The facility also has a railway history exhibition room, which caught my attention more. It used to be a station for the Nayoro Main Line and Okoppe Minami Line. Exterior and Interior Atmosphere: Michi-no-Eki Okoppe Anu Joy Park has a brick exterior, but the interior is quite sterile. They sell local products as expected from a Michi-no-Eki, but the main attraction is the milk. There are some tables for eating in as well. Food: Both the milk and soft serve ice cream could use a bit more richness. They are not as rich as what you would find in places like Nobeyama in Nagano. This might be intentional on their part. Personally, I tend to have stomach issues with rich milk, but surprisingly did not experience any here. It's a matter of personal preference whether you prefer a richer taste. However, compared to commercially available products, these are definitely richer and have more flavor.

I used to visit a station on the Kyōhama Minami Line Nayoro Main Line where I would often eat sushi at a sushi restaurant in front of the station. The station became disused and when I visited once, the station still had trains parked there, giving it a feeling of still being alive. After some time, it was renovated and turned into a roadside station! The station became a modern building with brightly painted train cars that became a rider house. Personally, I think the old station had its own charm and was surprisingly good, but there were various adult circumstances that led to the changes. Now, as for the milk, in a region where soft serve is delicious, the milk is also tasty. There are also various types of cheese available.

Soft serve ice cream machine is operated by a lady who quickly wraps it up for the incoming customers. It's similar to the soft serve at Okoppe Ice Direct Sales Store. It seems like their selling point is that it's additive-free. The soft serve has a light, airy texture and a pleasant mouthfeel. It's not too sweet and has a milky flavor that doesn't make you thirsty. It melted quickly because it was a hot day.

Sweet and creamy Okhotsk cultured butter cake made with rich Okhotsk non-homogenized milk. The buttery flavor is strong, perfect with a sip of non-homogenized milk. Yum!
