It seems that Saizeriya has made some changes to their menu, but we ordered a variety of dishes as usual. In terms of taste and cost performance, it's really the best. It's Shibuya after all. The interior of Saizeriya is like being in a forest. As you walk, you can hear various voices. "That's right." "I know, right?" "It's so lovely, sorry ♡." "I put salt in the bath." "Calzone also means stockings. It gives the feeling of plump thighs, right ♡." "...You know, Saizeriya also grows their own lettuce and produces white sauce in a dedicated factory in Australia." "I graduated from the Hero Course at U.A. High School." "Pien." It's amazing how Saizeriya is loved by people of all ages and backgrounds. And the affordability and quality of their wine is like a dream. With over 1500 stores worldwide, Saizeriya truly is a wine paradise. We enjoyed a bottle of Belcchio white for 1100 yen including tax, and shared a seasonal limited edition soup-flavored salt vongole for 500 yen including tax. Belcchio has a clean and refreshing flavor, making it a delightful dry white wine. We recently watched a biographical film about Mary Quant, who popularized the miniskirt in the 1960s, and visited an exhibition showcasing her fashion. This led to discussions about the fashion trends among the young people in Shibuya. It's interesting how Japanese people tend to blend in with the crowd while still wanting to stand out in a subtle way. We also talked about how foreign rock enthusiasts often appreciate lesser-known Japanese bands. Overall, Saizeriya is a place where you can enjoy good food, great wine, and engaging conversations.

When I go to Saizeriya, I usually go when I'm hungry, so I often order beer, a main dish (usually hamburger), bread, the drink bar, and more beer. It didn't seem that cheap to me, but it turns out I was ordering wrong. - Red Wine Decanter (250ml) 200 yen: I thought cheap wine would taste okay, but this one was surprisingly good. Easy to drink with no bitterness, it's the type you can casually enjoy. I ended up getting two more decanters while chatting with friends and having snacks that paired well with wine. - Arrosticchini 400 yen: Two skewers of lamb. I had heard they were delicious and had to try them. I love lamb, and they definitely go well with red wine. I don't like spicy food, so I didn't use the spices that came with it. - Popcorn Shrimp and Hamburger Assortment 600 yen: Both the popcorn shrimp and hamburger are perfect snacks for wine. Can't go without meat! Ended up eating the main dish too. - Set Drink Bar 200 yen: Eating and drinking all that for less than 2000 yen, Saizeriya drinking is the best! Next time, I'll go for wine again.

I was planning to just go for the drink bar, but ended up ordering this instead. It's called "Shrimp Salad"!! AKB48's Yui Oguri-chan posted it on her Instagram story, saying she likes it, so I was curious about it.

I felt like having some Napolitan pasta, so I couldn't decide between the convenience store version or going to a restaurant. The price at the restaurant was surprisingly cheap. For just 500 yen, I got pasta with a small salad and soup. They also had a drink bar for an additional 100 yen. The wallet-friendly prices were unmatched by other Italian restaurants in the area. The taste was decent for the price. The pasta had mostly sliced sausage with minimal vegetables and tomato flavor, and the consomme tasted like salty tea. But considering the price, it was acceptable. It reminded me of post-Soviet Moscow, where many young people were inexplicably eating steak.

Today's lunch was at Saizeriya. It's located right in the heart of Shibuya, just across from Tokyu Hands. I visited around 12 pm on a weekday, and despite the fact that the restaurant has 160 seats, about 90% of them were occupied, with only 2-3 floor staff members. The efficiency is impressive as always. The lunch menu was a surprising one-coin deal, priced at 500 yen including tax. You can choose from pasta, doria, or a hamburger with rice, and it comes with a salad and soup bar. You can also add a drink bar for just an additional 100 yen. The price is really impressive for a location like Shibuya! I ordered the LC80 Onion Sauce Hamburger with rice in regular size, including salad and soup for 500 yen, and added the DB04 lunch drink bar for 100 yen. The hamburger arrived in about 7 minutes, which is fast considering how crowded it was. The hamburger was delicious, with juices oozing out when you cut into it. It was mentioned before that Chef Taichi Murayama, who is a Michelin-starred chef at an Italian restaurant, praised Saizeriya's hamburgers. Apparently, they are made from scratch at their own factory in Australia, which is why they can offer such a great price. I finished the meal with a cappuccino with lots of frothy milk. All of this for just 600 yen, it's a great value meal! Thank you for the meal.

Saizeriya lunch! I had heard that lunch was one coin, so I wanted to try it. Shibuya store, I have drunk here many times, but this was my first time eating lunch. It was 90% full, with mostly people in their 20s, but about 10% were salarymen in suits. Many people dining alone. The menu includes pasta, doria, and hamburg steak, which made it hard to choose. But I wanted to try the hamburg steak, so I chose that with a sunny-side-up egg on top. ★ Onion sauce hamburg steak 500 yen (with salad and consomme soup) You can get 50 yen off if you choose less rice, so it was 450 yen including tax. Super cheap! You can also change the rice to mini fiscelle or focaccia. The mini fiscelle is like a mini French bread. I added the drink bar for 100 yen. When I looked closely at the lunch menu and the regular menu, I was surprised to see that the only menu item the same as the lunch menu was the Milano doria. The pasta and other items are not on the regular menu, so it's quite elaborate. First, the salad came out. Lettuce and tomato. The dressing is similar to what you get with a shrimp salad, maybe like an aurora sauce. It took about 7 minutes for the hamburg steak and rice to arrive. The sunny-side-up egg was runny, and it also came with small fries and buttered corn, which was nice. The hamburg steak was juicy and delicious. The onion sauce was a bit sweet, like teriyaki. The rice, although labeled as small, was about two-thirds of a regular rice bowl. It's not extremely small, so it's good for those with a small appetite or if you plan to order something else. The consomme soup is self-serve and light. The drink bar also had cappuccino, which was satisfying. I was able to pay with my Suica card.

Chain stores usually don't have long lines, but occasionally they do. I used to go there multiple times, but recently it has been very crowded. There are even lines outside. Due to the current situation, I have been avoiding crowded places, but on this day I was able to get in. The lunch menu has changed, but it is still very affordable and a great deal. I had the Spicy Tomato Hamburger with rice, soup, and a drink bar for only 600 yen. I am truly grateful. I am a bit worried about how they will manage to keep going, but I will continue to support them.

This is a shop located about a 6-minute walk from Shibuya Station. The interior is quite spacious, giving off a relaxed vibe. The staff at dining establishments in Shibuya usually have a cool impression, and it's the same here. Orders are written on a memo instead of being spoken, which may be a bit challenging for those with poor eyesight. Drinks and condiments are self-service, so you have to get them yourself. I ordered a small shrimp cocktail salad with a vegetable dressing instead of the sweet thousand island dressing, and I was surprised that I could choose a different dressing! The salad had a sweet onion flavor that could be enjoyed by both children and the elderly. I think I prefer this vegetable dressing. I also got the arrabbiata pasta and a mini salad from the lunch menu. I always feel this way when I go to Saizeriya, but the pasta dishes are huge while the rice dishes have smaller portions. So I ended up with a very full stomach after ordering lunch and a salad! The lunch also came with soup, so it was a satisfying and filling meal!

I stopped by for a snack time and ended up ordering a decanter. There was a sign at the entrance of the store that said no video recording or live streaming. I guess it's becoming more common these days. The orders are placed by writing the number from the menu on a piece of paper and handing it to the staff, which is convenient especially with COVID-19 measures. I also ordered some spicy chicken wings and chorizo with potato fries. I ended up ordering another decanter as the drinks were going down smoothly. The Margherita pizza was thin and light with a generous amount of cheese. It was delicious, and I almost ordered a second one but decided against it. The total bill for two people was less than 2000 yen. As expected, Saizeriya is affordable.

I used the drink bar. It was easy to enter the shop in Shibuya, where there are fewer people than before. I think there used to be long lines at this kind of shop until last year. Is Japan's economy really okay? It's too cheap at ¥300 including tax. It's normal for coffee to be automatically brewed from a machine that grinds beans. You can drink many cups, so in a way it's a better deal than convenience store coffee. However, the cola from these machines is not delicious.

It's Saizeriya. Saizeriya. Reasonably priced Italian. Saizeriya is amazing. Just because it's cheap, the customers are young and all... a bit noisy... lol Well, it can't be helped. But it's a good restaurant. Had a luxurious meal at Saizeriya after a long time. Oh, so satisfying. Chicken and broccoli salad, mini cucumber pickles, chorizo, escargot baked in the oven, arrosticini set, drink. How was it? Did you eat it? I felt like I could eat more, but I stopped lol The staff seemed busy. Walking through the aisle to get to the drink bar, I almost bumped into multiple staff members ^^; It felt like I had to move out of their way. They should pay more attention to safety. It was around evening on a weekday, and it was bustling with students in uniforms. ★ White Wine Carafe 200 yen The wine glass is 100 yen, so a little more than 2 glasses. The wine glass and carafe are made of plastic. ★ Celery Pickles 199 yen (tax included) A seasonal menu. A must-try for celery lovers. ★ Warm Asparagus Salad 249 yen (tax included) A seasonal menu. It was delicious with cheese or olives on top. ★ Chicken and Broccoli Salad 349 yen (tax included) A carb-friendly menu with plenty of protein. ★ Escargot Oven-Baked 399 yen (tax included) 5 pieces of escargot, I always end up ordering this. ★ Petit Focaccia 79 yen (tax included) The small size makes it easy to eat, especially when ordered with escargot. ★ Edamame Salad 199 yen (tax included) With a hot spring egg. The edamame here is delicious, not too beany. Add Pecorino Romano cheese for an extra 100 yen, it's recommended. ★ Addictive Anchovy Frico 399 yen (tax included) A dish from the Friuli region of Italy, with anchovies, potatoes, and cheese. The salty anchovies and creamy potato cheese texture is great. ★ Spicy Chicken 299 yen (tax included) Deliciously spicy! I keep eating it. ★ Popcorn Shrimp 299 yen (tax included) Easy to eat small size, great as a snack. ★ Chicken Diavola Style 500 yen (tax included) The Diavola sauce is delicious and goes well with the chicken. It contains onions, garlic, and leeks, but it's light. ★ Genovese 500 yen (tax included) A seasonal menu, bright green pasta, but delicious. ★ Magnum Wine, White 1100 yen (tax included) I ended up ordering the carafe for 200 yen a couple of times, so I got the Magnum size at 1.5 liters. ★ Magnum Wine, Red 1100 yen (tax included) We finished the white wine quickly, so with one more friend joining, we ordered the red. The three of us finished it as well. At Saizeriya, olive oil, chili powder, and powdered cheese are provided for free upon request. The olives at Saizeriya are so delicious that you might want to buy some as souvenirs on your way out. The long-awaited Saizeriya drinking session was delicious!

I visited Chelsea for the first time on December 13th to see a live performance by San Plaza Nakano-kun, so I decided to grab some food beforehand. It was still early in the evening but there was already a wait of about 10 people. It's quite popular, huh? Since the live performance was standing only, it was impossible to order drinks there. So I had to drink here (laughs). I ordered a large decanter of red wine for 399 yen. For food, I started with the Friuli-style Frico (?) for 299 yen. This was my first time trying it. It was like gratin? Not bad. Next, the classic spicy chicken for 299 yen. It came with 4 chicken wings? Such a bargain. Spinach sauté for 199 yen. Probably equivalent to one bunch. It had a little bacon. But it's so cheap. I think the spinach was frozen though. Lastly, the Milan-style Doria. It was a bit burnt (laughs). It seems it wasn't microwaved. I learned something new. With my wife having a beer, it didn't cost us more than 1,000 yen each. Is this really Japan? (laughs) The fact that they can make a profit with these prices is amazing. There was a long line for the sea bream display as well. Incredible. Thank you for the meal.

I recently discovered and became hooked on the delicious squid with paprika sauce at Saizeriya. It tastes even better with lots of black pepper sprinkled on top. Unfortunately, I learned from the news that this menu item will be discontinued due to unstable supply of frozen squid. Even raising the price won't keep it on the menu. It's really disappointing. I came for one last taste of the squid with paprika sauce, loaded with black pepper. It was still delicious. I hope it will make a comeback someday.

We toasted with non-alcoholic drinks and then ordered and shared various dishes that everyone wanted to eat. We each had just one non-alcoholic drink, ate dessert to our heart's content, and it came out to a little over 2,000 yen per person. It was perfect for a feast with young people at Saizeriya. I used it for an early solo lunch on a weekday. The lunch set includes bread, salad, and soup, making it a great deal! With a drink bar and dessert included, it's all for under 1000 yen, which is very cost-effective. This time, I ordered the arrabbiata pasta, but the flavor was a bit mild. So, I adjusted it with salt, pepper, olive oil, Tabasco, and cheese. Being able to make such adjustments is unique to casual restaurants like this. It's nice that you can enjoy both a drink during the meal and a drink after the meal. The taste may not be exceptional, but it's a place where you can eat a variety of dishes and get full.

Cheap Italian (questionable if it can be called Italian) family restaurant. All the menu items are cheap, attracting a large number of young people, especially high school students, who use it to pass the time. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very lively, almost like a school break time. In fact, it's too loud. It's better to avoid it if you're not a young person, as they can drain your energy. The food is consistently of the quality you would expect from Saizeriya. It's great that you can eat cheaply and fill your stomach.

It's great to have something to drink that is a little entertaining to pass the time! And it's cheap too.
