I have been here many times and I am always very satisfied. The mentaiko yam okonomiyaki was amazing! The yakitori is all very delicious. The recommended dishes are always different and tasty. The chef is very friendly and I will definitely visit again soon.

Today, I am in Kurume in February 2016 and I am at a yakitori restaurant inside the rotary of Mizuma Station. This place is a semi-private izakaya. The beef tataki is seriously delicious. The pork belly is tasty (though a bit oily, haha). The salt-grilled yellowtail collar is surprisingly delicious. The crispy hormone might be the best. They have a wide variety of menu options and drinks. I had a delicious meal here today. Thank you for the feast! (^ . ^)

In front of Nishitetsu Mizuma Station, there is a yakitori and hot pot restaurant located across the rotary. They offer a wide range of dishes, including small plates, and have private tatami rooms for a casual izakaya experience. Their unique "crispy horumon" with garlic sauce is a great dish to enjoy with drinks. After finishing work in the evening, I took the Nishitetsu train from Kurume in the opposite direction. I was searching for a restaurant near the station and found a sushi restaurant with mixed reviews at Mizuma Station. Although their opening hours were unclear, it was already 6 pm. The restaurant didn't seem to be open for dinner, so I quickly left and decided to check out this restaurant nearby. When I opened the sliding door, I found a counter with seven seats and three private-like raised tatami areas. The friendly chef on the kitchen side greeted me with a smile. While their main dish seemed to be chanko-nabe, I opted for a la carte dishes since I was dining alone. They had a variety of small plates including simmered dishes, fried dishes, and grilled dishes. I chose some dishes with recommended marks. A neatly dressed young lady, who I assumed was the daughter, served me drinks efficiently and explained the dishes when they were served. The restaurant's name brought back some vague memories, but they were quickly replaced with positive ones. - Game-ni (Simmered chicken and vegetables) for 380 yen: A Fukuoka classic home-cooked dish with diced chicken and root vegetables simmered in a light sweet broth that highlights the natural flavors of the ingredients. A comforting dish. - Crispy Horumon for 600 yen: Slices of small intestines grilled until crispy with their homemade sauce. The garlic sauce with grated daikon is a perfect match for this dish, ideal for pairing with drinks. The slight remaining unique taste of the small intestines is intentionally left to complement the garlic flavor. - Assorted skewers (priced at 90-200 yen each): I chose five skewers at random. The skewers seemed professionally made, and the grilling was skillfully done, resulting in tender and flavorful cuts like sagari and pork belly. Overall, the prices were reasonable, and it's a great place for a casual izakaya experience. I wish they also offered individual hot pots.
