This is also from my walking trip back from Hakata Station to Ropponmatsu. On the way back, I stopped by a shop across from "Kashiwa-ya Genjiro" where I bought the "Genjiro Bento". "Matsukaze-an Kanesue" is a traditional Japanese confectionery shop with its main store in Takamatsu, Kagawa Prefecture. They are known for their delicious warabi mochi, and have expanded to the Kanto region as well. This shop made its first appearance in Kyushu as a franchise store on Ichibun Street at Hakata Station. What caught my eye as I passed by the shop was their seasonal strawberry daifuku. The big strawberry is placed on top of the daifuku, creating a striking visual impact. I ended up buying enough for my family. Taking a big bite, you can taste the sweetness and moisture of the large strawberry on top, along with the mild sweetness of the anko inside the daifuku. The combination of the sweet anko and the sweet and sour strawberry creates a satisfying and happy feeling when eaten together. I've tried various strawberry daifuku before, but this one stands out the most in terms of impact. The balance of sweetness and sourness is perfect, making it very delicious. I definitely want to come back for more.

I was lured by the sweet smell of sweet potatoes and bought it (*´༥`*) It has a cute round shape! But I was surprised that just one piece has over 300kcal... It has a strong sweet potato flavor, and the texture is moist and smooth with a heavy feeling! I later found out it's famous for being like warabi mochi, so I regret not buying warabi mochi as well.

I also found some boxed souvenirs, but they didn't last long, so I bought some warabi mochi in cups that are easy to eat. I learned about them from a TV show and found out that I could buy them at Hakata Station, so I visited. The warabi mochi was easy to eat and had a chewy texture.

My partner wanted to try it, and it was quite good. The not-so-good shops are too sweet, and the warabi mochi is hard to eat. Matsukazean Kanesue was surprisingly mellow and delicious. Should I say it has an elegant taste? Above all, it was easy to eat and very nice. It melted on my tongue. Matsukazean Kanesue FC Hakata Station store is the best in the world. I stopped by a souvenir shop inside Hakata Station. Kanesue is known for their warabi mochi, but this time I bought a strawberry daifuku because it looked so appealing. A big, bright red strawberry sits on top of the daifuku, and the mochi is indeed soft and has a good texture, just as you would expect from Kanesue.

It might be more expensive than sucking on a neighborhood grandma's peach. The strawberry has a good balance of sourness and sweetness. The mochi dough is mixed with pink strawberry paste, reminiscent of one's twenties, making it a good recommendation for grandpas who want to reminisce about the past or tired salarymen on their way home from work. Overall, it's of high quality but slightly pricey and elegant.

I received this as a souvenir. It seems to be from a store in Takamatsu. It cost about 300 yen each on the Ichibin Street in Hakata Station. It's like a sweet potato comparison mooncake with a dense filling, similar to a Japanese-style sweet potato. It goes well with tea, a sweet potato dessert. I like the stylish shops on Ichibin Street. 😊

This time, I visited Matsukazean Kanesue FC Hakata Station store located at 1-1 Hakata Ekimae Chuo-gai, Hakata-ku, Fukuoka City, on the 1st floor of Hakata Deitos. I was wandering around trying to decide what souvenir to buy. I decided on warabimochi!! It's not a common choice, so it seemed like a good idea☆ I bought a small box for 1200 yen. It comes in a wooden box-like packaging which gives it a luxurious feel. I also added some wasanbon honey. The warabimochi is soft and stretchy, so much so that it stretches when picked up with chopsticks (≧▽≦) It tastes delicious with the honey coating. It was a recommended souvenir, thank you for the meal.

Today, I visited Matsukazean Kanesue at Hakata Station. This shop opened in September and I have been curious about it for a while. I decided to try the "Imo Kurabe" (320 yen), which is a sweet potato dessert. It was quite large, with a good amount of volume and a nice touch of rum. It was delicious and satisfying. Overall, it was a satisfying experience.
