This is a pub located in front of JR Iidabashi Station East Exit. After finishing my errands, I started patrolling in front of Iidabashi Station. First, I had a house ale at my favorite pub chain. The pub is on the second floor of a mixed-use building in front of the East Exit. It was still early, but it was quite lively. I received a HUB ale and Belcube cheese at the counter and sat at a counter seat by the window. This year's ale has a nice aroma and tastes delicious. The mild Belcube cheese also goes well without interfering with the aroma. I had a mojito for my refill. It's a classic drink that I crave in the summer. The refreshing scent of lime and mint is perfect for the summer. After feeling refreshed and sweating a little, I finished my meal. I spotted an interesting looking restaurant next door from the window, so let's go visit there next.

This day, after work, I went for a quick beer with a colleague at this British-style pub located near Iidabashi Station East Exit. It has changed owners multiple times over the past 40 years, with my last visit being to the Kamata branch about 10 years ago. The atmosphere was calm, with about 10 customers in the second-floor restaurant where we sat by the window. We ordered the original Hub Ale (1 pint for 860 yen) and shrimp chips (700 yen) from the food menu. Unfortunately, our choices were not part of the happy hour promotion. The Hub Ale had a great aroma and went down smoothly, and the shrimp chips were plentiful and delicious. We ended up ordering more beer and left satisfied. Next time, I might go for the happy hour special on Asahi Super Dry.

★After eating a lot, we went to a second party at HUB. Surprisingly, it was not crowded and easy to spend time there. HUB is usually busy whenever I go, but this time it was quiet and peaceful. It didn't feel like the typical noisy and smoky HUB atmosphere. Even though I always think it smells bad at HUB, I ended up ordering a Laphroaig. I discovered that the smell intensifies more with a highball than with straight. For snacks, I had blue cheese pie with plenty of honey and pepper. I quickly finished my drink and left. Maybe this is how adults enjoy drinking.

I wonder if the menu for one person has increased. It's helpful.

There is finally a new store in the barren land of Iidabashi. With Lads next door, they may be worried about losing customers to this new place. However, they don't really overlap much with Hopscotch, so they should be fine. The store is on the second floor. When you go up the stairs, you come out in front of the counter, but the passageway in that area is extremely narrow, serving as the only connection between the tables in the back and the standing area by the window. You constantly have to apologize and squeeze through to get by. The flow to the counter also doesn't seem to be well thought out, so what happens during Japan's matches? Maybe Laqua's hub would be better after all. They are currently running an opening campaign with discounts for a while. It was bustling with young students from Hosei University, so this could be the place to go when you want to try something new, and Chiyoda Building Kabanpaiya for when you need something spicy.

The excitement of the professional baseball season opening was great! There were some mistakes in orders, but I think the atmosphere was lively at HUB!

(First review) 10/15/2019 First visit. The food and drinks I had are as follows: [Food] - Beef jerky - Edamame - Mixed nuts - Chicken & chips - Nachos - Fried octopus (chosen by my companion. The fried octopus should be eaten with basil-flavored dip sauce.) [Drinks] - HUB ALE 1 Pint - HUB ALE 1/2 Pint (chosen by my companion. I took a photo, but there were people in it, so I won't use it.) There was a seat facing the wall available, so I thought it was nice when I came alone. Thank you for the meal.
