I went to Torisei for the first time in a while! I have memories of going there often during my student days, but it had been a while since I last visited. The inside of the restaurant is open and there are no partitions, with tables placed close together. Since we still can't let our guard down due to the coronavirus, I had my meal at the counter, which only has 3 seats. The counter seats are separated by a wall in front, so you can enjoy your meal in a more isolated setting. I started with a draft beer cheers. The kimpira appetizer was delicious. The yakitori with sauce was a classic and went well with the beer. I also tried the salt skewers, and continued eating with a lemon chu-hi for my second drink. I finished with ochazuke for a refreshing end. It had been a while since I went to a traditional izakaya-style restaurant, but I had a fun time enjoying my meal. The gentleman next to me, dining alone, seemed to be in a great mood after drinking three glasses of beer and shochu on the rocks. It's a place where even dining alone can be a lot of fun. - Ochazuke (520 yen) - Chu-hi Lemon (520 yen) - Chicken soft bone (170 yen) - Quail skewer, green pepper skewer (320 yen) - Steamed chicken salad (730 yen) - Tsukune skewer (170 yen) - Liver skewer (170 yen) - Skin skewer (170 yen) - Thigh skewer (240 yen) - Draft beer (550 yen) - Appetizer (290 yen) I was exhausted from working long hours. Just two more days to go!

Even though we arrived early, we barely managed to get a seat probably because it was right before a holiday. There always seems to be a lot of people who love yakitori. Of course, we started with beer. The daikon radish with grated radish as a starter was refreshing and soothing. We ordered the chicken and leek skewers and the lotus root stuffed with meat, which were both delicious choices. I used to love Torisei in Kyoto, but I was disappointed that this place doesn't have chicken cartilage. I hope they add it to the menu in the future. Thank you for the wonderful meal! ♡

The chicken sashimi and lotus root tempura were delicious, even better than the grilled chicken skewers. There is a wide variety of shochu available, and the original Japanese sake is also delicious.

It's been a while since I met up with my colleagues. Enjoyed some delicious yakitori. I want to come back to this restaurant again.

The yakitori was delicious. I had been to the restaurant under Kyoto Tower before, but this was my first time in Takatsuki. It was very delicious and I would like to visit again.

It was a rainy day, so there were empty seats. I ordered the plum and shiso skewers, but they felt a little dry today. I feel like the taste has deteriorated slightly compared to before. I don't think I'll be coming back again...

A restaurant with delicious food other than yakitori!

I went to a year-end party with my tax accountant friend. We sat at the counter seats and tried to hang our jackets, but there was a pillar right next to us, which was really inconvenient. It was crowded, so we had to wait a while for the staff to come. The food was decently delicious, with a drink all-you-can option for 3700 yen. It's better to go when it's not too busy so you can relax. When it's crowded, it's cramped, noisy, and it takes a while for the beer to arrive, which can be tiring. The food was tasty though. Visited in January, posted on February 4 in the evening. I went out for a quick solo drink, telling my family that I was going to buy dinner. I headed to the town at dusk, which is a common action in my daily life that no one questions. Whether I have a beer or not depends on my mood. On this day, I felt like having a drink, so I stopped by a shop on the way to the market. It's a chicken specialty shop that has been around for a long time and blends into the scenery. I entered the shop around 5 pm on a weekday. The shop is half restaurant, half bar, with a classical atmosphere similar to a traditional udon shop. There are only 4 counter seats and a few table seats, which are quite tightly packed. In the shop, there were two men in the kitchen and one woman on the floor. There was one male customer already there, and a couple arrived later. I quickly ordered: - Bottle of Asahi Super Dry beer for ¥530 - Appetizer for ¥230, which was like a seasoned dried daikon radish - Chicken skin-wrapped gyoza for ¥470, slightly lacking in oil - Assorted grilled chicken for ¥1200, including 8 skewers, liver, thigh, wings, gizzards, cartilage, and green onions. The sizes were not particularly large, more on the smaller side. It may be more enjoyable to order recommended items individually. The total including tax was ¥2430, and it took about 30 minutes. Will I go back? Maybe not.

Takatsuki has many yakitori restaurants. Among them, I went to the long-established Torise restaurant! First, I'll have a bottle of beer. Ahh! Cheers! The simple appetizer is delicious, especially the grated daikon. It's like chicken sashimi! Yum! The salad is delicious too! The dressing comes separately, which is a bit like a family restaurant look. I'll switch to sake now. I'll have Kaguyahime. Ahh, it's good! Alright, let's go for the yakitori! A lot of them! Delicious! Yakitori is really tasty! I like salt, but I also love the tare sauce! It's irresistible to find a place with delicious tare sauce! Please bring me more sake! I'll have a sacred chilled one. Ahh! Nice! The nama-fu no dengaku is delicious! Fluffy and the dengaku miso is tasty too! The pan-fried dumplings are delicious! Crispy on the outside with a tasty filling inside! So delicious! For the finale, I'll have grilled rice balls. Delicious! The crispy texture and the fragrant smell are so good. When you feel like eating chicken in Takatsuki, the first place you should go is Torise E. One thing I always order there is the sand liver sashimi and sand liver ponzu salad. The chicken at Torise E is incredibly fresh. The sashimi looks beautiful and has a crunchy texture that is addictive. The sand liver ponzu salad is also delicious and I order it every time. The yakitori is also very tasty, making it one of my favorite restaurants. But if you come here, I really recommend trying the sand liver sashimi!

I visited Torise Ei, located between JR Takatsuki Station and Hankyu Takatsuki-shi Station after a long time. It's a popular restaurant that often gets crowded, and I used to drink too much of their "Nama-zake" before and got into trouble. This time, I went on a weekday before 9 pm, and there were few customers, so I didn't have to wait long for my food after ordering. I ordered a variety of skewered dishes since I came to eat yakitori after a long time. Overall, the skewered dishes were not bad, but they seemed slightly overcooked. The person I was with seemed to prefer crispy dishes and said they liked it. It's a matter of preference. I got tired of Asahi beer and ended up switching to "Nama-zake" halfway through... And as expected, I started craving sashimi. The sashimi platter seemed to have less quantity compared to before, but it was delicious. The grated daikon radish served as an appetizer was very refreshing and tasty. I enjoyed dipping the sashimi in a mix of sesame oil, salt, and soy sauce. It was a good accompaniment. However, the yakitori was... Hmm... a bit disappointing.

I entered this place because I had a good impression that it was honest and delicious... First of all, the good thing was that the freshness of the chicken was good. The sashimi was also delicious. What I found lacking was the customer service. No explanation for the appetizers. Very little politeness or response. No explanation for the sashimi platter, and no apologies for any mistakes. Maybe it was just the staff at that time that was off, and it might have been different with another staff. Also, one dish was delicious, but the grilling of the yakitori was not done well. It felt like a waste since the chicken was delicious. Overall, it's a good place to eat dishes like fried chicken or sashimi. Maybe my perception was affected by the staff, so I might give it another try if I have the chance. The cost performance is set at a higher level. Considering the quality of the chicken, it might be reasonable?!

While strolling around Takatsuki and feeling hungry, I stumbled upon Torisae. I didn't know they had a branch here, but I used to go to the one in Koyamachi a few times during my student days. The food here is not amazing, but it's pretty good. They have all the classic izakaya dishes, it's affordable, and it's a good option for a casual meal when you don't want to spend too much. The fried chicken is good, the skewers are tasty, the chicken skin gyoza is delicious, the beer is cheap, and the service is decent. Overall, it's a solid choice. For reference, our bill came to 4,000 yen for two people, including three bottles of beer and one glass of plum wine. It's quite affordable.

The way they grill the yakitori is excellent. The fried chicken is very juicy, and the vinegar-based dishes are delicious. The duck breast salad, chicken breast tataki, and chicken tenderloin carpaccio are all fresh and enjoyable. Everything is focused on chicken, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I have visited about 6 times, and it's strange that the main store, Torisei Honten, is terrible with chicken dishes, but this franchise is very outstanding. I always wonder why as I enjoy the yakitori.

It was a mini version of Kyoto Torisei. The yakitori and cold sake were delicious.
