Personal sandwich feature, here are three shops in Kurume City, but as you may know, the area was recently affected by heavy rain, so if you plan to visit, it might be a good idea to check beforehand. These three shops are probably fine, but for example, there may be a connection to the severely affected former Tagumaru Town (now Kurume City), and you may be helping out there. Since that time, I have been to Kurume for business, but I haven't gone to the former Tagumaru Town area because it's not appropriate to visit as a sightseer, and it could also contribute to traffic congestion. It is said that only in the Chikugo River basin, an area equivalent to 590 PayPay domes and the same area as Ogori City was flooded, so it's a crazy story. According to an acquaintance, it was like a lake, and many roads were closed. So it's probably best not to go until things settle down, and on the contrary, when reconstruction begins, it might be a good idea to spend money at the eateries in that area to support them. However, this shop "Iroha Sand" is probably fine as it is located in the city center of Kurume, and they also have a store in Suwanocho, so it seems like they are open for business, but it might be a bit difficult to find the place. The shop "Iroha Sand" used to be a catering store called "Iida," and it seems that the second generation of that store started it, and they are still making bento boxes behind the scenes. In any case, it seems a bit difficult to go there without knowing the way, as it is a one-way street from Sanbonmatsu Street, and you have to go around to get there. There are three dedicated parking spaces, and if it's a small car, you can park two cars in a row in one space, but there is a possibility that someone might park in front of you if you park too far back. The shop itself is a prefab building and not very spacious, and given the current situation with the pandemic, there probably aren't many people trying to enter the shop. However, there are people who park in front of others without hesitation, so it's best to avoid parking behind someone. The light truck in the photo is probably a delivery truck from the former "Iida" catering store, so it's best not to park in front of it. In reality, there are only two spaces, but given the size of the shop, that seems appropriate. There was an elderly gentleman who seemed to be the owner, and I'm not sure if he is the second generation, but when I told him I was from out of town and declined the service card, he seemed a bit disappointed, which I felt sorry about. I visited around 3:30 pm, and it seemed a bit tough to sell at that time, but maybe it sells well because it's close to Bunkamachi, which is Kurume's biggest nightlife district. The prices are reasonable, and the taste is not bad, although it has an old-fashioned feel, so it seems that it depends on the promotion. I purchased the following three items at the shop this time: 1. Peach Whip Sandwich 248 yen 2. Iroha Potato Sandwich 237 yen 3. True Fried Horse Mackerel Sandwich 280 yen 1. The peach is a cut type, and it has a slightly canned taste, but it's not too sweet. Also, there is a crunchy texture that you can feel occasionally. There are four pieces with one piece inside, so you can hit it no matter where you bite, which is nice. The whipped cream is not too sweet, and it has a slightly buttercream-like richness, giving it an old-fashioned feel. The bread is plain and slides smoothly down the throat. 2. There are two types, each with different ingredients, so you can enjoy two different things in one. Both have the same filling, which is basically potato salad, but one has more corn and the other has more edamame. The corn is surprisingly firm and solid. The sweetness is not that strong, but it doesn't taste boring. The edamame, on the other hand, is soft and has a juicy texture, which is interesting. It may look normal, but it's different.
