I purchased chocolates here around Halloween season and since Mon Loire is the parent company, the taste is definitely good! The Minamo Arle Truff Box and Minamo Arle Dotonbori Bon Bon Town Halloween edition not only look great, but the chocolates have a colorful taste that is just right for a little indulgence!

I went to buy cookies as a gift for Tsumagari and on the way back, my son asked me to buy ice cream. I ended up buying a small pack of 6 for just under ¥800. It's a bit expensive... As an adult, maybe two bites worth. The ice cream cones looked like soft serve and were cute, but the taste was just regular chocolate. Not bad, but not great either. It's cute so it would make a nice gift. The strawberry chocolate sandwich cookie they let me try was actually tastier. Thank you for the meal.

Located in B1F of the Daimaru Umeda store attached to JR Osaka Station in Osaka City, this chocolate shop offers a variety of chocolate confectionery. One of their offerings is the Heart Flower, a type of chocolate confectionery. When you open the box, you will find 7 silver-wrapped pouches. Unwrapping the silver paper reveals 6 small heart-shaped chocolates, with 2 pieces each of 3 different flavors. This time, the pouch was yellow, so the flavors were lemon, milk, and matcha. The lemon-flavored chocolate appears to be white chocolate at first glance, but it has a sweet and sour taste when you bite into it. The milk chocolate has a slight hint of acidity. The matcha-flavored chocolate combines sweetness with a slight bitterness.

It looks like takoyaki but it's actually a cookie! At first, I couldn't believe it, but it's sweet!! My friend said it wasn't very delicious, but that's probably because the appearance and taste don't match. I could eat as many as I want.

I purchased Bon Bon Town at Osaka Daimaru Umeda, and it was a good deal! It's stick chocolate with various faces drawn on them. Each face has a different flavor like dark, matcha, milk, etc. It may be a bit strange for adults to eat stick chocolates with faces on them, but the taste is good. I shared some with others and they were happy. There were various other types available, so I plan to go buy more again.

Minamoto Arale is a famous chocolate shop in Dotonbori, Osaka. I bought "Dotonbori Bonbon Town" here as a souvenir. "Bonbon" means a young master in Kansai dialect, and the chocolates are wrapped in playful illustrations of these young masters. They come in three flavors: milk, dark, and matcha. It was nice that you could choose your favorite flavor as a souvenir.

I received a work-related souvenir. The product is called "Osaka specialty takoyaki-like cookies." When I put it in my mouth, it tasted a bit like okonomiyaki, but the aftertaste is more like kinako-flavored pie filling. It looks somewhat like okonomiyaki.

Before White Day, my husband suddenly had to go to Osaka, and he bought various souvenirs as a White Day present. One of them had a package that seemed like a complete joke (laughs). But it was actually quite well done. The pastry was made of feuilletine and chocolate, the sauce was cocoa sauce, the mayonnaise was white sauce, and the red ginger was substituted with raspberry crunch (although the seaweed was actually aosa, which was a bit distracting). There was a small spatula included, but it was completely useless (laughs). I joked that it was like a Mont Blanc dessert. The acidity of the raspberry crunch was quite pleasant.

Minamoare at Daimaru Umeda is the second store to open in a department store. They aim to expand from Dotonbori to nationwide and worldwide. Looking forward to seeing where their third store will be! The Dotonbori Fruit Parlor (Strawberry) offers chocolate sandwich cookies with fruits enclosed inside. The strawberry flavor was delicious and easy to eat. The cookies are also cute in appearance. Other flavors include melon and banana. A great treat to bring back as a souvenir!
