I was drawn in by the hot chocolate. The fluffy chocolate dorayaki was easy to eat and not too heavy, and the 56% hot chocolate drink was rich and had a nice warming flavor! I usually eat umegae mochi, but it's nice to have different sweets like this once in a while.

There is a chocolate pancake specialty store on the approach to Dazaifu, heading towards the Kokuhaku Street. I visited Dazaifu on this day and decided to take home some cakes from this place. Inside the store, there were cakes and sweets made with their famous fluffy chocolate pancakes on display. I chose to take out two chocolate pancakes. The Chocolate Dora (Plain) costs 380 yen and is filled with plenty of chocolate whip wrapped in a chocolate pancake. The Chocolate Dora (Premium Double) costs 580 yen and contains original chocolates made by the chocolate specialty store "&Myuu."
