I went to Nakau for some beef curry with extra cheese topping as a late-night meal after drinking a lot. Even though I wasn't very hungry, I thought curry might help sober me up a bit. The curry at Nakau isn't very spicy, but it's appetizing and perfect for satisfying post-drinking cravings.

After a long time, I ended up going to a restaurant instinctively because I was hungry after drinking, singing, and playing until past 5 in the morning. The combination of white rice, eggs, and natto somehow comforts me on a sluggish morning. The "Natto Set Meal with Specialty Eggs" with extra rice costs 380 yen.

"Nakau Miyakojima-hontori Store" (Osaka, Miyakojima) Pickled tuna seared rice bowl hearty serving for 1000 yen. When eating this kind of dish... is this really hearty? Spending 1000 yen for this makes you wonder.

"Nakau Tsushima Motodori Store" (Osaka, Tsushima) Originally, the Chicken Assorted Rice Bowl (Nakau's specialty) is 690 yen, but it came with a side of "Hai Kara Udon" for the same price. In other words, it's a set where you get the Chicken Assorted Rice Bowl plus the Hai Kara Udon for 690 yen. The Chicken Assorted Rice Bowl includes chicken thigh, chicken meatballs, and chicken breast skewers. From affordable options to large portions, enjoy a meaty lunch in Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto.

I met up with a friend at the nearby Seven Eleven before heading to the support group office. We quickly stopped by and had a delicious lunch at a restaurant, ordering the parent and child rice bowl set. The udon noodles were especially tasty! When I go to Nakau, I always end up ordering the same old dishes... The meal was satisfying and we were able to meet up with my friend before heading to the office.

In June of the first year of Reiwa, I had the delicious Hifumi Gyudon and Hai Kara Udon for a total of 500 yen including tax at a reliable chain restaurant. The cost performance is excellent, both the gyudon and udon are tasty, as expected from Nakau. It's great to have free cold green tea during hot weather.

During the 10-day consecutive holidays, I was troubled about where to have lunch. I decided to go to Nakau in order to use my "free karaage coupon" before it expires. I purchased a lunch set consisting of "oyakodon (regular size), small udon set". It was 90 yen cheaper than buying each item separately. The chicken in the oyakodon was cut into small pieces and the seasoning and color of the egg were elegant. It's also nice to add the "umadashi soy sauce" on the table according to your preference. The small udon (cold) had tempura flakes on top. Chopped green onions and ginger were served in separate dishes. It seems like people other than customers casually park their bicycles in front of the store.

The food was disappointing as the sauce was too watery, the fried chicken was mediocre, but the soup was delicious.

I stopped by Nakau in Miyakojima for a late lunch. It had been a while since I last visited Nakau, and when I entered and sat at a table, I heard a voice from the back saying, "Please buy a meal ticket." It seems they have switched to a meal ticket system. Perhaps due to a shortage of staff? I purchased a meal ticket and ordered the lunch set, which included oyakodon and small udon noodles for ¥600. The oyakodon had the usual delicious taste. As for the small udon, I felt like I wanted a bit more, but it was satisfying nonetheless. Overall, it was a tasty meal. Thank you.

On April 3, 2017, I snuck out during my company's break time to go to Miyakojima for some errands and had lunch for the second time. I had a set meal of katsudon and mini tempura udon. The price was satisfying, but compared to the one-coin katsudon and tempura udon set at Matsuya in Namba, well... I guess the pork here is thicker, but not that different? I prefer the udon at Matsuya. The tamago at Nakau is a rich, orange-colored one, and I think the tamago is delicious. Well, I was short on time so it was convenient. There were 2 customers before me and 2 more came later. I finished my meal quickly and it was good. Thank you for the meal.

I visited a restaurant in Osaka called "Nomiboshi" which is a branch of the popular chain "Nakau". It is a casual drinking establishment located in Miyakojima. The restaurant operates on a self-service system where you purchase food tickets from a vending machine. I ordered a dish called "Katsu Toji" and some edamame along with a drink called "Hoppy". The food was served promptly and was delicious. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a casual drink. Overall, I had a satisfying experience and even tried their famous beef bowl with a special egg. It's a great place for a light meal and drinks.

Visited around 2pm on a Friday afternoon in December 2016, coincidentally had some business in Miyakojima and saw it right after exiting the subway. Celebrating its renewal, they offered a pork cutlet bowl for 500 yen!! Alright, let's have it for lunch! The second floor has become a drinking area now, it seems like these days many beef bowl chains also serve as izakayas. Even at this time, the restaurant was filled with customers. Everyone seems to be enjoying the pork cutlet bowls. Just as expected (laughs). I ordered the 680 yen set with a pork cutlet bowl and miso soup, which was 90 yen cheaper. They were also giving out canned red tea as part of the renewal promotion, lucky me! The pork cutlet bowl had the usual Nakau taste, with thick and satisfying pork cutlets. Oh, there's no green garnish? Wasn't there supposed to be some mitsuba or something before? Maybe they got rid of it because vegetables are expensive? Or is it just for the one-coin promotion for the renewal? The miso soup was definitely tastier at Matsuya, a bit on the sweeter side. Thank you for the meal.

It had been about 4 years since I visited this place alone. I used to come here more often before, but I stopped visiting after I started going out for drinks. The ticket machine has changed in 4 years. It was a touch screen this time, which was a bit confusing since there was no list. The loud announcement from the ticket machine echoed in the small shop. I decided to try the limited-time "Sudachi Oroshi Udon" because it was hot that day. It came with a large Sudachi fruit, which I squeezed and enjoyed the refreshing taste. The broth was not too strong, and the udon noodles were thin with a good texture. The portion size for the regular size was decent, but I felt like 450 yen was a bit expensive. It was nice that they offered unlimited cold green tea to drink.

Today's lunch was so hot that I couldn't bring myself to go out, and I ended up getting a lot of work done (lol). As it got cloudy after 2 o'clock, I thought it might be okay to walk outside for a bit, so I walked 2 minutes to Nakau. I don't eat beef bowls anywhere else but Yoshinoya, so I bought a mini oyakodon and a small sudachi udon with a food ticket. While waiting, there was a huge thunderstorm!! Oh no! Even though it's just a 2-minute walk, I didn't bring an umbrella, so I panicked. I need to eat quickly and go back! First, the mini oyakodon! It's small but the egg is so creamy and delicious as always! Next, the small sudachi udon! I squeeze the sudachi citrus juice all over it. It's refreshing and perfect for a hot day! Although it tastes a bit saltier than the last time I had it. Maybe it's my condition? Well, since it's a small size, I managed to finish it. Thank you for the meal! It was delicious! Right when I arrived at work from Nakau, it started pouring rain! (It was so intense that some Osaka Municipal Subway lines had to suspend operations!) I'm glad my good deeds paid off (lol).

There is a McDonald's here now, and the area has become quite urbanized. A long time ago, there used to be a shoe store here where an old man worked hard, but it eventually changed to a restaurant. It's a complete chain store, with a standardized taste, but I really like this place. They mainly serve oyakodon (chicken and egg rice bowl). I usually only order oyakodon here and rarely go to other restaurants, but I will definitely be using the Miyakojima Hondori branch again.

I couldn't have breakfast at home so I decided to eat out. I had a drinking party the night before and drank until late at night. It's hard to leave the house after making breakfast, so I just had a tangerine and headed to work. Right now, they have a Japanese-style beef bowl for 290 yen. It's cheaper than the breakfast set, so I bought it from the ticket machine. But then... The restaurant was full of customers but they only had one staff member working. It took a really long time to be served. If I hadn't already bought the ticket, I would have definitely gone somewhere else. Well, I guess it's understandable that they get busy sometimes. These things happen, I suppose.

In recent years, Nakau has joined the Zensho Group and opened a branch in Miyakojima-hondori. Located in a prime location facing a large intersection in Miyakojima, it is not easy to use the store for "parking for takeout." It is best to walk there and eat inside the store. Orders are made using a ticket system, so once you buy a ticket, everything else is done silently. Various coupons and shareholder benefit tickets are accepted if you inform the staff before purchasing a ticket. There is a sink for washing hands next to the ticket machine, so customers can wash their hands freely. The restroom is apparently on the second floor (unconfirmed). The menu includes dishes like beef bowl, oyakodon, curry rice, and various udon dishes, similar to other branches. Seasonal dishes using duck or yuzu are also added to the menu from time to time. The cooking speed is generally fast as cooking starts as soon as the ticket is purchased, but udon dishes may take a bit longer to cook. Although there is a second-floor seating area, it is usually closed and only opened during extremely busy times. Even during lunchtime, the first-floor counter seats are often crowded, and the second-floor seats may be closed with the lights off. Additionally, this branch has offered unique services such as a campaign for a "baseball game ticket lottery giveaway." Looking forward to more in the future.
