Located about a 3-minute walk from Showacho Station on the Midosuji Line. It's in a residential area just south of Matsumushi Street. It's always bustling with regular customers. I barely made it after contacting them last minute. There were two seats available. - Assorted sashimi - Negi-mi (leek with ground meat) - Se-gimo (chicken tail) - Tebasaki (chicken wings) - Jitokawa (chicken skin) - Kappa nankotsu (cartilage) - Grilled onigiri The service was a bit slow, but it's a popular place so it's understandable. The se-gimo was juicy and especially delicious. The chicken skin goes well with beer! The grilled onigiri had small fish flakes in it, which was tasty.

One week since our last visit. Today we came here as our first stop. We ordered a variety of dishes, but the following were particularly delicious! ・Assorted sashimi My son, who came here for the first time, kept saying "delicious!" and couldn't stop eating. ・Grilled chicken skin The charcoal flavor was just right, giving it a crispy and fragrant taste. ・Chicken cartilage Again, the charcoal flavor was nice, crunchy and delicious. ・Tsukune cheese I was surprised by the size. It's almost like a hamburger. ・Avocado ・Chicken soup We were so focused on eating that we hardly took any photos. We also had various drinks for three people, and the total came to just under 10,000 yen. Fantastic value for money.

About a 3-minute walk west from Showacho Station on the Midosuji Line, a little south off Matsumushi Street, you'll find a place with red lanterns. The master of a favorite restaurant recommended it. Although I intended to focus on drinks as it was our second stop, I was surprised to find chicken sashimi on the menu. The menu also featured authentic yakitori dishes. We ordered a sashimi platter, chicken neck, skin, and cartilage. The sashimi was fresh and the soy sauce was delicious. The chicken neck was juicy and perfectly grilled. The skin and cartilage had a unique charcoal flavor that was really tasty. The master was quite entertaining as well. I'll definitely visit as the first stop next time. I want to try various dishes on an empty stomach!

This traditional yakitori restaurant, Nebokesama, always starts with a sashimi platter. The recommended dishes are tsukune with cartilage, crispy and tender skin with garlic, juicy and spicy cod roe, and tender and flavorful chicken skewers. The salt seasoning is highly recommended.

About 10 years ago, I had some amazing grilled chicken innards that I just can't forget, and my craving for them has been reignited. The restaurant was well-known in the local area and was always packed, requiring reservations to get a seat. It was a small place with only a counter. When I revisited recently, the atmosphere was lively and cheerful. I immediately ordered some classic grilled chicken dishes, writing down my choices on the order sheet provided at the counter. The recommended items were chicken innards sashimi, grilled chicken innards (so delicious I ordered two plates), and grilled chicken skin (crispy and incredibly tasty). The grilled chicken innards and mushrooms were cooked to perfection, with a melt-in-your-mouth texture. I would love to visit this place again if the timing is right. Thank you for the delicious meal!

Anyway, everyone, please get along with the master! It's super fun!!! You can go with your family too! You can also get along with strangers! It's fun!! Personally, I really like Kokoro! In the photo, there is Tsukune Tamago Yolk, Kokoro, and for the finale, Chicken Zosui♡ There may not be many seats, so it might be hard to get in, but it's super delicious, so for those checking on Tabelog! You might wonder where this Showa-cho in the downtown area is, but don't be fooled, please go and try it out.

(2022.2) Today we visited a second restaurant. We ordered grilled chicken cartilage, grilled chicken skin, and a sashimi assortment. This popular yakitori restaurant is always bustling with regular customers from the neighborhood.

For some reason, there is a restaurant that makes you want to visit. Located about a 5-minute walk west from Showacho Station, just south off Matsumushi Street, this restaurant is tucked away in a residential area away from the station, yet it is always bustling with regular customers every night. The cozy yakitori restaurant, with a large L-shaped counter and no table seats, exudes a welcoming atmosphere thanks to the friendly master. Even if it's your first visit, you'll instantly feel like a regular. The yakitori served here is truly delicious, carefully grilled over charcoal at an affordable price. They offer various cuts like triangle, cartilage, neck, gizzard, tail, sparrow, and even duck, which are not commonly found in other yakitori places. In addition, they have a selection of local chicken dishes starting from 380 yen, including skin, meat, triangle, wing tips, wing bases, tataki, and boiled options. They also have a wide variety of sashimi and recommendable dishes like the Gomi-don with five different parts, chicken ochazuke, and other rice dishes for finishing off your meal. The soup offerings, including tsukune soup, are also delicious. The master, who prepares all these dishes alone, is always hard at work. The restaurant is run by the master and a young part-time worker, who could be a girl or a boy. Despite staying open late, the master starts preparing in the morning, and they are already busy by around 7 pm when they open. If you can visit during a quieter time, it's truly a delightful yakitori paradise.

Located 2-3 minutes west from the intersection in Showa-cho. It is a bit south from Matsumushi Street. Surrounded by residential area, it may seem odd to have a yakitori restaurant here. The layout is long like a eel's bed, with only a counter. It's not the type of place featured in gourmet magazines or shows, but it's popular among locals. It's always crowded even on weekdays. The prices are reasonable and they have a wide selection of shochu. The thick fried tofu side dish is also delicious.

Get off at Showa-cho Station and head west on Matsumushi Street. When you see a FamilyMart on your left, make a left turn. Proceed straight for about 100m and you will find the restaurant on your left. The inside of the restaurant is quite smoky, and it's usually almost full of customers. My favorite dish at this restaurant is the grilled chicken liver. It has a rich flavor without any unpleasant smell. The sauce on the skewers is on the sweeter side. This yakitori restaurant goes well with beer and chu-hai, and it is loved by locals. I often see the same old man there.
