For some reason, there is a restaurant that makes you want to visit. Located about a 5-minute walk west from Showacho Station, just south off Matsumushi Street, this restaurant is tucked away in a residential area away from the station, yet it is always bustling with regular customers every night. The cozy yakitori restaurant, with a large L-shaped counter and no table seats, exudes a welcoming atmosphere thanks to the friendly master. Even if it's your first visit, you'll instantly feel like a regular. The yakitori served here is truly delicious, carefully grilled over charcoal at an affordable price. They offer various cuts like triangle, cartilage, neck, gizzard, tail, sparrow, and even duck, which are not commonly found in other yakitori places. In addition, they have a selection of local chicken dishes starting from 380 yen, including skin, meat, triangle, wing tips, wing bases, tataki, and boiled options. They also have a wide variety of sashimi and recommendable dishes like the Gomi-don with five different parts, chicken ochazuke, and other rice dishes for finishing off your meal. The soup offerings, including tsukune soup, are also delicious. The master, who prepares all these dishes alone, is always hard at work. The restaurant is run by the master and a young part-time worker, who could be a girl or a boy. Despite staying open late, the master starts preparing in the morning, and they are already busy by around 7 pm when they open. If you can visit during a quieter time, it's truly a delightful yakitori paradise.
