First of all, I didn't like the pasta noodles. They lacked elasticity and had a powdery texture. The seafood peperoncino pasta had squid that was chewy and shrimp that was delicious. It was an oil-based dish, but it felt overly oily. The gratin pasta looked average and was cheese-heavy. The soup had dried up a bit. The salad was cold, but the crunchiness of the vegetables was weak. As for the dressing... honestly, I prefer Kewpie. Thank you for the meal.

However, on New Year's Day, I was treated to a special osechi meal that took two days to prepare. Osechi is not something I can eat a lot of, so just a little in the morning was enough. I had a simple breakfast with a bit of sake and a piece of mochi in ozoni soup. Around 10 o'clock, I started thinking about where to go for lunch, and then I was suggested to eat the leftover osechi from home, but I couldn't eat the same dish twice in a row. It's better to feed the leftovers to someone at home. Since I had a little sake, I couldn't drive, so I borrowed a mama-chari bike and prepared to go to a nearby Aeon. Riding the unfamiliar bike made me a bit wobbly. I arrived at Aeon before 11 o'clock and found Pietro, a pasta specialty restaurant that all pasta lovers in Fukuoka know. I ordered the rich Napoli-style spaghetti for 1012 yen, tax included. The dish was served with a generous amount of Parmesan cheese, but I asked for more. When I took a bite, the ketchup flavor was unexpectedly mild, not as rich as I imagined. I added extra cheese, and the taste transformed into a rich cheese flavor. I felt a bit disappointed by the spaghetti that betrayed my expectations. I spotted another pasta restaurant in the same restaurant area and decided to try it tomorrow. This was just my personal taste and experience.

My favorite pasta specialty restaurant is "Pietro". I wonder why they don't have one in Miyazaki... Today, I had the seafood basil sauce that I love so much. It's a luxurious pasta with shrimp, squid, and clams. It's always delicious whenever I eat it. Thank you for the meal.

If you arrive around 2 o'clock, they usually run out of panna cotta, but luckily I was able to have some this time. It was rich and paired perfectly with mango! ✨

I visited Pietro in Chikushino AEON because I was craving pasta. The interior of Pietro in Chikushino is cute and beautiful, which I like. I had the lunch limited edition menu. It came with salad, coffee, and dessert for 1250 yen, which is a good deal. The coffee is free for refills. The peperoncino was amazing! The sweetness of paprika, garlic, and cheese sausage collaborated well. The taste was just as I imagined in my head, and it was delicious.

I wanted to eat pizza and went to Pietro after a long time. Pietro is an Italian restaurant originating from Fukuoka. It seems like they have been expanding nationwide recently. Pietro is famous for its dressings. This time, I went to the restaurant located inside Aeon. Since it was a holiday, the restaurants inside Aeon were crowded with people. Even though I avoided the lunchtime rush, Pietro still had a waiting line of 6 groups. Mostly families, with mothers bringing along their small children, taking a breather. I ordered a Margherita pizza with mozzarella cheese and tomatoes, the crust was thin and light, very delicious. For pasta, I had Carbonara, the rich sauce was tasty. The salad included in the set was mainly onion salad, but the dressing with a strong acidity was delicious. I couldn't resist and bought some to take home on my way back. The dressing is really delicious as expected. Thank you for the meal.

I went to Aeon Mall Chikushino! It was snowing in the morning, but it cleared up by noon, which was nice. It was less crowded, probably due to the snow. I was thinking about going to Ikinari Steak, but then I saw Pietro, the Italian restaurant. Their lunch set was a great deal, so I decided to go there! For less than 1000 yen, I got to choose pasta, salad, a drink, and dessert. The pasta was delicious, especially with the tomato sauce. Sorry for those who thought I always go for tomato sauce, I just really like it! The dessert was also great, maybe even Instagram-worthy? Lunch with my wife and son. We wanted something light, so we opted for pasta. I used to avoid Pietro's for some reason, but now it's known for its dressings. It's been about 20 years since I last visited. We were seated promptly, and I ordered the Peperoncino salad set, my wife got the spinach and tuna in tomato sauce, and my son had the kids' pizza. The salad was fresh and tasty, the pizza dough was soft and chewy, and the pasta was flavorful with a generous portion. The tomato sauce was delicious and paired well with the tuna and spinach. The prices were surprisingly reasonable, and I regret not coming here sooner.

The kids' pasta was Napolitan, so I would have been happy if they had brought a paper apron for children. If I had to say something negative, the salad dressing was sour, so it may not be suitable for children who don't like sour flavors. The pizza had a crispy thin crust, which I personally liked. We ordered the four cheese pizza. If you want to try both pasta and pizza, there is a pasta and pizza set available. It can be shared, so I think it's quite good in that aspect.

I hurried to do maintenance on my beloved motorcycle and prepare for the next morning's touring, but my son Sega-re came and said, "Dad, if you can ride the bike, we can go to the mall, right?" So, I decided to stop the long-distance touring and go to the mall with Sega-re on the back of the bike. We left home early and planned to have lunch before the 1:30 PM screening of "Inazuma Eleven VS Danball Senki". Of course, I received some pocket money in advance. Sega-re wanted to eat foreign fast food burgers, but I immediately rejected that idea. If you want to eat that, earn your own money to do so! We happened to meet some friends and their family at the mall, who had just had pizza at "Pietro". Sega-re also wanted to eat pizza, so it was perfect timing. The restaurant area in the mall was very crowded on weekends. We waited in line and were seated by 1 PM. We ordered a combination pizza with shrimp, bell peppers, and cheese, and spaghetti with squid and spinach in soy sauce for me, and sausage and tuna in tomato sauce for Sega-re. While waiting, I was captivated by the cute Santa hat-wearing waitstaff. The visual service was top-notch. The pizza arrived and though it looked delicious, it lacked flavor, so I asked for Tabasco sauce and they brought a special spicy sauce. We each had three slices of pizza. The spaghetti was served next, and while it was tasty with the squid and nori flavor, it didn't quite match the excitement of "Sweet Basil". Sega-re felt full halfway through the spaghetti, so I had to finish it quickly. We settled the bill and it came to 2600 yen, a bit of a splurge. After the movie, we headed to "Rakuichi Rakusa" for some arcade fun. Sega-re decided to try his luck at a UFO catcher game.

I watched a movie at Aeon Mall Chikushino and stopped by Pietro on the way home. It's a pasta specialty shop that has been around since I was a child. I used to go there often. Recently, there are many different types of restaurants, so I haven't had the chance to go there often, but I felt like eating there again after a long time. Whenever I come to Pietro, I always order the salad spaghetti. It's a cold pasta dish using Pietro dressing. The noodles are al dente and very delicious. They also have great lunch set menus available.
