I went to a very lively place called Ohatsu Tenjin Ura Sando. I had oden daikon, egg, takarabukuro, konjac, shiitake mushrooms, cabbage rolls, cabbage and round intestine Genghis Khan, pickled cheese, and carbonara with sake. Everything was delicious.

The rare chicken white broth oden was delicious! Tuesday 10:30 PM, 5-6 customers before us. The restaurant is quite narrow and it's difficult to get to the back without someone pulling out a chair for you. We were seated at the farthest table. We ordered: - Radish ¥190 - Homemade shrimp mayo tempura ¥390 - Cod milt ¥480 - Pickled cheese ¥480 As a starter, we were served clam chowder made with oden broth! It was quite tasty! It had a stronger soy sauce flavor than oden broth, more like a soy sauce-flavored clam chowder. The oden had a refined taste with the chicken broth not being too thick, and the chicken flavor blending well with the oden broth. The pickled cheese had a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor, and overall, everything we tried was delicious. The staff seemed to have a very serious demeanor, almost intimidating as they didn't make eye contact or speak much. The head chef? was particularly stern when our group grew in size, almost scolding us with a loud "Are you adding more people!?" It was a bit scary... The service was disappointing, but the food and atmosphere were good!

The appetizers included cabbage rolls, chicken skewers, plum shiso cheese rolls, and oden with rolled fish cakes. The atmosphere was chaotic and the cleanliness was lacking a bit. The octopus, green onion, spam, and asparagus were not what I expected, as they were not skewered. The pricing was on the expensive side.

At the back of Omi Tenjin Shrine, there is a multicultural bar street where each shop competes for space by setting up terrace seats in front of their shops. It's such a lively street, feels like going back to the good old days. Although I was turned down by the restaurant I was aiming for, I was lured by the curtain that said "Oden" at the shop right across. This place is called "Oden Mitoku Rokumi", a standing bar with only a counter where I had visited their sister shop in Fukushima a few times before. As I entered, I was reminded of that. In the big pot of oden at the back of the counter, various ingredients were simmering, stimulating the innocent adult heart. The narrow aisle with the big staff made me a little concerned about passing by, but they were all dressed neatly in white coats, making it easy to consult about the menu. Starting with a draft beer, I enjoyed a variety of oden items such as daikon radish, jumbo shiitake mushrooms, seasonal specialties like spring bamboo shoots, and rare Unzen ham. The selection was quite unique and enjoyable. They also had a nice selection of Japanese sake in the fridge, so you can enjoy a sophisticated moment. It was a good encounter, thank you for the meal.

I stopped by for a quick drink in Osaka at "Odenya Mitoku Rokumi". It's located right near Higashi Umeda Station, and there are some great drinking spots around here! Since you can't make reservations, we took a chance and managed to get a table for two. It's a standing-style bar with a big pot of oden on the counter. The oden looks delicious, simmered to perfection. It really gets you excited. In addition to oden, they have a variety of appetizers. We started with a lemon sour for a light toast! One of the appetizers we tried was the potato salad. It had a moist texture with mentaiko sauce as an accent. The slightly rich flavor pairs perfectly with alcohol. And then, the oden! We chose the classic daikon, egg, and my favorite, tofu. The daikon soaked in broth was tender and delicious. Overall, the flavors were gentle and truly Kansai-style. The trendy atmosphere makes it easy for women to feel comfortable dining here. It's a great spot for a quick drink. I definitely want to go back again. Thank you for the meal!

Oden and Santoku Rokumi! Revisited! K wanted to go there no matter what, so I decided to try the fresh tuna that I wanted to eat! I ate it for the first time while thinking it was the season for ginkgo nuts (lol). The seared white liver sashimi was also delicious! Thank you for the meal!

There was a famous Fukushima restaurant doing standing bar in Higashi Umeda. The main dish is oden, and the menu is mainly standing bar oden. The price is a bit high for oden. The oden with chicken broth is a bit unique. Personally, I prefer the normal broth. I didn't realize it at first, but is it only available for lunch? The first drink was free, which I didn't know, so I was surprised that I only paid around 600 yen for one drink. The most cost-effective option is the large bottle of beer, which is not on the menu. It's also free at first. The staff will talk to you because the shop is small, so it's not boring even if you're alone.

It was located in the new food court just past the fashion booth of EST. I visited on a rainy day, so it was very convenient to access from Osaka Station without getting wet. The menu was not only oden, but also plenty of appetizers, and there were various types of sour cocktails with chunks of fresh fruit, sake, and beer, which was great! There were a few counter seats and table seats, and I was seated at the counter. I was able to enjoy drinking while consulting with the staff about the alcohol. The stylish atmosphere inside the store makes it easy for women to enter and have a good time!

The restaurant is located about a 2-3 minute walk east from Exit 7 of the Subway Tanamachi Line at Higashi Umeda. Upon entering, there are four counter seats at the back, a standing counter towards the entrance, and two standing tables outside. I started with a toast of shochu highball with domestic lemon. The appetizer was dried overnight eel from Densuke. I also had a thick-cut ham cutlet, which was crispy with a delicious ham flavor, melted cheese, and tasty sauce. Moving on to oden and sake, I had the oden served in three rounds, each accompanied by mustard. The first round included egg, konjac, and daikon with shichimi pepper. The second round had grilled fish cake, shiitake mushrooms, and red fox with sakura shrimp mochi. The third round (served on individual plates) included seaweed, tofu, and green tanuki with leeks and ginger. The sake served in 90ml portions included Yokoyama Junmai Ginjo, Sawaya Matsumoto Junmai, Tateyama River Junmai Honjozo, and Bakuren Ginjo Super Dry. The combination of oden and sake was excellent, and I couldn't help but indulge in more. I look forward to returning to enjoy oden and sake again. Thank you for the delicious meal.

Nice to meet you. Just an old man from Kyoto and Sakumai. The live feeling is great. It's a different atmosphere from Fukushima. Cheers without sugar. A restaurant with kazunoko is a good restaurant. (Just my favorite) This cheap mentaiko recommends sake. It has a sense of style! Also, oden. Gyoza for a cozy feeling. It's just right for an appetizer. Thank you for the meal. Well then.

I visited Odenya Mitokurokumi in Umeda as my second stop for drinking. I was excited to visit this place as I love Mitokurokumi in Fukushima. When I entered the restaurant, there were only a few customers, and I was able to enjoy my meal while chatting with the staff. However, when I left, the restaurant was full and bustling, showing no signs of the impact of the pandemic. The oden was delicious, and the shime-saba served as a complimentary dish was incredibly tasty. I also enjoyed the recommended sake from the staff. I will definitely come back when I'm hungry again.

Located on the back street of Ohatsu Tenjin, this place is bustling with people. It's a sister store of a popular restaurant, so even standing room is quickly filled up. They offer a wide variety of oden dishes as well as other small dishes. The Sichuan-style meat miso looked tempting, but when I saw the words "marucho" (round intestines) and "kinome" (Japanese prickly ash leaves), I immediately changed my order. Since it's winter, I also ordered the oyster vinegar. Even though it's a standing-only place, they still provide a complimentary appetizer. The oysters in the vinegar were of medium size, with a smooth texture and a hint of seaweed aroma. The marucho had a delicious texture and fat content, while the unique green scent of the kinome added to the overall flavor. The daikon radish was soaked in flavor. It's always almost full, but the experience was delightful!

Ohtsu Tenjin welcomed Mitoku Rokumi! I love the atmosphere and taste of Mitoku Rokumi in Fukushima, so I'm happy that there is now an oden and Mitoku Rokumi place in Umeda! The interior is more casual compared to Fukushima, with friendly staff. There were many young female customers. It's perfect for a casual stop by! Since it was my second stop of the day, I was too full to have the main oden dish (sorry). I was recommended to try sake and ordered it. The appetizer was pickled mackerel, which was delicious with its fatty flavor! Even though I was full, I felt like I should order something, so I got the shirako. It was incredibly delicious... Next time, I will definitely try the oden too!

I haven't been to the main store in Fukushima, but I visited here first. I wanted to drink from around noon, so I was near Est and decided to come to this shop. The cat-shaped fish cake in the oden was cute, and personally, I really enjoyed the various patterns on the plates. ☺️
