During a recent business trip to Nagoya, I had some days off, so I decided to visit Osaka for the first time in a while! I met up with a friend in Umeda and we wandered around East Street and Ohatsu area, trying to decide where to go. As we walked along the street of the open-air shrine towards Shinmido-suji, we stumbled upon a new restaurant! We decided to dine at this restaurant for the night. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a building, with access from both stairs and an elevator. The interior had a calming atmosphere with a wood-based design, offering counter seats, table seats, and private rooms. Despite it being a weekday night before 8 o'clock, the restaurant was quite busy, as Osaka is known for its fierce competition in chicken cuisine izakayas. We were seated at the counter and started with a toast! The sight of the charcoal grill from the counter was appetizing! First, we had a sashimi platter with liver, gizzard, and breast meat. The rich liver, flavorful gizzard, and tender breast meat were all delicious, accompanied by condiments like radish sprouts. Next, we had a mixed grill of 5 skewers, where the staff kindly accommodated our requests for specific cuts. The skewers, grilled over charcoal, were fragrant and tasty. We then tried the charcoal-grilled local chicken, which was made with Tanba local chicken known for its strong umami and tender texture. The other dishes were also colorful and delicious, leaving us satisfied. In addition to the food, they also offered a selection of Japanese sake from various regions and wines from around the world, making it a great place for alcohol enthusiasts. The staff were friendly and approachable, making us feel like this restaurant will become a popular spot in the future! Thank you for the wonderful meal!

The all-you-can-drink option is very cheap, and the yakitori is delicious! There are seats on the 2nd and 7th floors, and on my 5th visit, I was seated on the 7th floor for the first time. Since it was a weekday, I was able to get in without a reservation, but the 2nd floor was full. Reservations are a must to ensure entry to this popular restaurant. The private room for two people was comfortable. I definitely want to come back!

It's about a 10-minute walk from Osaka Station. Good value for money. It was nice to have chicken sashimi. The motsunabe (offal hot pot) had a good portion size and was delicious. They gladly accommodated my request for extra broth. The grilled dishes were also delicious. However, the smell of cigarettes and the noisy atmosphere may not be suitable for a stylish date.

I had a 120-minute (last order at 90 minutes) all-you-can-drink deal for 980 yen. The charcoal-grilled chicken is also great value and delicious! I'm a repeat customer, and I always order the mentai dashi rolled omelette and the 5 kinds of grilled chicken. This time, I called to say I would be a little late for my reservation, and they kindly accommodated the change. The service was also excellent! I definitely want to go back again.

I found a great value charcoal-grilled izakaya specializing in grilled dishes at Hatsutenjin. I had been curious about this place for a while, so I made a reservation in advance for my first visit. The restaurant is located on the second floor of a mixed-use building and has a warm atmosphere with counter seats, tables, tatami seating, and private rooms. When I visited around 7:30 pm on a weekday, the place was almost full, so I recommend making a reservation if you plan to go. Here is what I ordered: - "Limited to 4 servings per day" Super Broccoli Colecole: A dish I had been looking forward to trying. It was a generous serving of broccoli eaten with a knife and fork, paired with a Caesar dressing-like sauce that was incredibly delicious. - Cream Cheese Changjak: A dish that perfectly combines cream cheese and changjak. - Miyazaki Natural Spring Chicken Sashimi: The skin was crispy and the meat was tender and juicy. It was delicious. - Salt and Sesame Stir-Fried Chicken Liver: Stir-fried chicken liver with salt and sesame was simply delicious. - Wagyu Tripe Yaki: You can choose from three flavors - sauce, miso, or salt. I followed the cute waitress's recommendation and chose the sauce. The generous serving of Wagyu tripe had an appetizing aroma and was incredibly delicious. - Skewers: I tried a variety of skewers such as seseri, negima, kawa, bonjiri, hatsumoto, furisode. I attended a meeting in Osaka at this restaurant. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is very welcoming. It's a yakitori restaurant, but they also offer a variety of izakaya dishes like motsunabe and chicken nanban. I ordered the chicken breast sashimi in a Japanese-style yukke, and it was very fresh and delicious! The yakitori was served in easy-to-eat skewers and the sauce was to my liking. I will definitely visit again when I'm in Osaka!

After a long time, I went to a yakitori restaurant with my female friend near Oohata Tenjin. The place is located in a building on the east-west street on the north side of Oohata Tenjin, closer to Shingyomido Street. Unlike many yakitori restaurants that use chicken from a single region, this place offers Miyazaki natural spring chicken and Tanba local chicken. The fresh chicken meat is really delicious, right? The casual atmosphere of the restaurant surprisingly attracts a lot of women. We enjoyed drinking casually and eating yakitori. - Avocado sashimi: Simple, just avocado. Avocado is healthy and I've been eating it a lot at home recently. - Miyazaki natural spring chicken thigh sashimi: The skin is seared nicely and the meat is juicy. It has a rich sweetness and umami. I felt safe eating the fresh chicken meat that was sourced in the morning. - Tanba local chicken charcoal-grilled: This is chicken from Tanba. It is grilled over charcoal, giving it a smoky aroma. It has a good elasticity and firmness with a moderate chewiness. I really like this. - Sweet and spicy fried chicken wings: The wings are fried and generously coated with sauce. Since we are all women, we ate it with our hands. The sweet and spicy sauce with juicy meat is delicious. - Yakitori: - Chicken tenderloin: You can order one piece at a time, which is nice. The fatty part is delicious. - Rare part, shoulder meat, was available. It has a good balance of firm meat texture and plenty of meat juice. Let's have some casual and quick yakitori for dinner with friends❗️ I've been eating a lot of yakitori recently, even at all-you-can-eat places, but oh well, haha. The place is called Sumi Yakitori Kemu, located near Rokujinsha Shrine, east of Ohtenshin. You have to put some effort into opening the heavy door at the entrance on the second floor. The restaurant has private rooms, tables, and a counter, making it convenient. They offer a variety of chicken dishes, and their motsunabe (tripe hot pot) is also popular! It's cold, so maybe I'll order that. The menu includes Ara Goshikan soda, which I tend to order when there's a liqueur with Ara Goshi. It has a fruity flavor that I like. The complimentary dish was simmered vegetables. I ordered avocado sashimi, Miyazaki spring chicken sashimi, charcoal-grilled Tanba Jidori, sweet and spicy fried chicken wings, chicken neck, chicken shoulder, tomato cheese, chewy Kyoto-style wheat gluten, and moon-viewing tsukune. It was great that you could order just one skewer at a time. The portion sizes were just right, easy to eat. The variety of options from vegetable skewers to tomato cheese and wheat gluten was nice. I love wheat gluten, so the chewy texture was delicious. I was planning to order a dessert, but I was too full to do so. I was interested in the udon noodles and tamago kake gohan, but I couldn't eat anymore. Even when I'm full, I'm a foodie, so I always try to figure out a way to eat more, haha. After eating seafood for lunch, we decided to have some meat for dinner. We don't usually go to yakitori restaurants, but this time we visited "Sumi - Ibusi" for some charcoal-grilled chicken. It's located at the end of the Oohori Tenjin shopping street, just around the corner towards Niimido. There were 8 of us, and they provided a private room for us. It was a sunken kotatsu-style seating, but the door was left open so we could hear the voices of other customers. It was quite lively, so not a very quiet space. We opted for the Smoked - Charcoal Grilled A Course with 3-hour all-you-can-drink for 9 items at 3,980 yen. The course included skewers and charcoal-grilled Tanba chicken, with a special chicken chirashi sushi as the finishing touch. Since it was a weekend, the 3-hour drink time was reduced to 2 hours, but the pricing was still reasonable. 1. Two kinds of appetizers (I can't remember, sorry!) 2. Cold chicken harami shabu-shabu - A rare dish with a nice texture and plenty of green onions. 3. Chicken breast stick salad - Shredded chicken breast stick salad with sesame dressing, cucumber, and tomato. 4. Assorted skewers - We had heart (which I love) and thigh, both with sauce. The meat and sauce were delicious. 5. Sweet and spicy fried chicken wings - The seasoning was delicious, with a crispy exterior. 6. Charcoal-grilled Tanba chicken - Delicious charcoal-grilled local chicken. 7. Grilled chicken neck with plenty of green onions - Mostly green onions in the picture, but it was great for onion lovers like me. 8. Special chicken chirashi sushi - A new twist for a yakitori restaurant, and it was delicious. 9. Daily ice cream - I forgot what it was, but it was good. Overall, with a private room, this many dishes, 2 hours of all-you-can-drink, and decent taste, the cost performance was very good. The service was quick in bringing drinks, which was great. It was a good place to spend a fun Saturday night.

In the outskirts of the East Umeda area, there is a restaurant that serves mainly charcoal-grilled chicken dishes. During the post-Golden Week period, I thought it would be quiet since it's on the second floor, but surprisingly it was quite busy. I enjoyed various chicken dishes such as seseri and momo yakitori. The standout dish was the recommended tebasaki (chicken wings), which were incredibly thick and juicy, but also very hot. The taste was a perfect balance of sweetness and spiciness, combining the best of both "Yamachan" and "Furaibo". It's hard to describe, but it was delicious!

Continuing from yesterday, I had yakitori again. Today, I had a meal with my Osaka gourmet friends in Higashi Umeda. It was one of our friend's birthday, so the two of us treated them. Even though it was quite reasonable (laughs). The reservation time seemed empty, but when I came out of the private room 30 minutes later to go to the bathroom, it was full of energy. I didn't notice because I was relaxing in the private room. Despite that, the orders came quickly, which was impressive. We started with a salad: Daikon and Mizuna Japanese-style salad with perilla, very refreshing. Assorted grilled skewers (salt) with heart, seseri, negima, bonjiri, and pork belly. Everyone was mature and didn't fight (laughs). Yamaimo Tsuntsun-zuke was a bit too soy sauce spicy for me. Homemade tartar chicken nanban, nanban combined with tartar is unbeatable. The fried chicken was crispy and delicious. Chicken heart skewers with perilla tartar dressing, more tartar (laughs). It's okay to have tartar on all the dishes. Sweet and spicy fried chicken wings were the most delicious. I ate them with my fingers. The Danba Jitokko thigh meat tataki with plenty of condiments was a delight. Smoky grilled chicken rice bowl was a bit bland, I wanted more sauce. I ate it while eating shiba pickles. Morning-prepared chicken soup with a strong sweetness. Please mix in the minced chicken at the bottom. Fruits and rich whipped cream pancakes had a huge portion for a low price. Unfortunately, I was too full and couldn't eat the pancakes. The total cost for the food was about 5000 yen. Cheap. Also, the service was good. I was impressed by how they managed to handle everything so well despite being so busy.

I'm sorry there are no photos. It was quite reasonable and the charcoal-grilled chicken was amazing! Each skewer was delicious! The fried chicken was also generous in portion, and the chicken sashimi was fresh and tasty! The restaurant has private rooms and smoking is allowed. They are open until 3 am, so it's reassuring for those who finish work late!

I used a private room for a banquet. The private room was smaller than I had expected. The food was delicious, but the presentation was poor. There were several dishes where the vegetables were spilling out of the plate. The staff started serving other customers in the middle of taking our order. I won't be coming back.
