On a day when work ran late, I was taken to this late-night yakitori restaurant by a colleague I was working with. I was surprised to find a yakitori place open until late at night like this. My colleague mentioned that people in the food and beverage industry also gather at this restaurant. It was quite crowded, with regular customers even on a Friday night, and the small restaurant had about 8 seats at the L-shaped counter and a couple of table seats. The place is run by a single man, which may explain why it stays open late. The chicken skewers were decent, priced around 100-150 yen each, though slightly on the expensive side for the quality. However, the highlight was the rare duck sashimi, particularly the seared rare duck meat with its tender texture and the perfect balance of sweetness and fat, served with ponzu sauce. The duck sashimi was a bit pricey at 980 yen, but it was definitely worth it. By the time we finished our meal, the bill had reached the 9000 yen range, which was a bit high for a yakitori place. Overall, it was a unique experience to be able to enjoy a hearty meal at a yakitori restaurant late at night. The menu included items such as draft beer (420 yen), sake (Matsunosuke - 780 yen, Yama no Kagayaki - 680 yen), duck skewer (380 yen each), liver sashimi (480 yen), gizzard (100 yen each), negima (120 yen each), shishito peppers, shiitake mushrooms, chicken wrapped in shiso leaves, special chicken breast (150 yen each), chicken wings (150 yen each), pickled plum and jellyfish (380 yen), and duck tataki (980 yen).
