I visited around 6:30 on Friday and waited for about 30 minutes. I couldn't make a reservation over the phone, so I had to wait. If you come by car, you can fill out your name and number and wait in your car. When your turn comes, the staff will come to call you to the car. The salt ramen was very delicious. The creamy salt flavor with a hint of doubanjiang or something dissolved in the soup. Even the regular size had a lot of noodles. It's a great place to use as an izakaya and finish with ramen!

Today, we had dinner in Utoro. Tomorrow, we plan to go eat the ikura-don we've been looking forward to, so we decided to have a light meal tonight. We looked at a tourist map and chose a ramen shop. The negi-shio ramen was around 1100 yen (I forgot the exact price, sorry). I personally like Asahikawa ramen, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. It was really delicious. My daughter also enjoyed it. I don't want to compare, but it's like a Yamatohotaru-style salt ramen in Asahikawa. It's a place that's not easy to visit, but if I have the chance to come to Utoro again, I would like to stop by. By the way, they accept various electronic payment methods.

A popular ramen shop in Utro Town that turns into an izakaya at night (it can get hot inside due to smoke from the yakitori and the air conditioning). Today, I had planned to climb Mount Rausudake, but ended up hiking through Shiretoko at the suggestion of a fellow hiker. I ran out of water along the way (had to drink almost 2 liters of snowmelt water) and almost got heatstroke, but managed to descend safely. Took a nap at the hotel after returning (woke up at 4 am), and now having my first meal of the day. Since I'm in this area, I went for the salt flavor. Got my bowl within 5 minutes of ordering, could it be the fatty pork‼️ And after tasting the soup, it's definitely the shop I thought it was (no seaweed though)‼️ The soup has a slight seafood flavor, maybe an original touch. Well, it was delicious and went down easily.

I made reservations for two consecutive nights at Nami Shibuki again this year. This makes it three years in a row. Of course, I will also go for ramen during the day on the second day. It's a ramen shop, after all (laughs). On this day, I made a leisurely reservation for the first day of Utoro. About a month ago, I made a reservation for two people at 19:00 on 7/24 and 7/25, and received a polite explanation saying, "Since it's already summer vacation, some dishes may not be available." This happens every year. "We've been going the same way for the past two years, so it's okay," I said. When we arrived, it was as bustling as ever, with locals and tourists mingling. However, after we arrived at 19:00, the seats gradually became available, so let's all go eat slowly at a later time. The popular appetizers (such as Shiretoko chicken skewers and liver) may not be available, but other than that, it's much more satisfying than some boring hotel buffet dinners in the area, so I highly recommend going at a later, quieter time. It's definitely worth it.

Shiretoko Utoro is known for its seafood, so I decided to try a Michelin Bib Gourmand ramen shop that was recommended. The shop is located near the roadside station and stands out with its unique atmosphere. The interior feels like a traditional izakaya. You order using a service touch panel and pay at the automatic payment machine, which is not the typical Shiretoko style. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The yakitori that came first was delicious, so I had high expectations for the ramen. However, when the ramen arrived, I was quite disappointed and wondered if this was really a Bib Gourmand restaurant. Overall, the yakitori was good, but the ramen was lacking. It seems like the quality may have declined due to the chain's expansion. I hope they can improve in the future. Thank you for the meal.

From Shari Town, heading north along the coast of the Sea of Okhotsk, we arrived in Utoro after about an hour of driving. Unfortunately, many of the shops in Utoro were closed due to the heavy rain yesterday and the opening of the Shiretoko Cross Road, which affected their business. So, we chose a restaurant that was open, the Nami Shizuku, which is a place known for its quality and was even featured in the Hokkaido Michelin Bib Gourmand guide. The Negi Shio Ramen we tried had a gentle and flavorful soup made from cloudy pork and chicken broth, with a hint of aromatic vegetables. The salt-based soup had a slight richness and a pleasant aftertaste, which reminded us of the famous poet Santoka. The noodles had a chewy texture due to the added water, and although they were not curly, they absorbed the soup well, creating a harmonious taste. The crunchy white leeks added a perfect complement to the soup. The sweet fatty pork chashu matched well with the noodles and soup, creating a unified flavor. The red wolfberry fruit was a memorable touch. When in Hokkaido, ramen is a must-try, and this bowl captured the essence of Shiretoko perfectly. Next, we will prepare at the Utoro Road Station before heading to the Shiretoko World Heritage Site!

I waited for about 15 minutes at lunchtime. I ordered the salt ramen, which was delicious with thin noodles and a light taste. It was so delicious that I ended up going to an izakaya at night. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was very cozy with tatami seating. I would love to go back when I'm in Shari Town.

A ramen restaurant located in the area of Shiretoko Utoro. Utoro is a popular tourist destination internationally, but surprisingly there are few dining options. This ramen restaurant has even received a Michelin star in the past. They open at 11 am and quickly fill up with a waiting line forming (you write your name on a list). I visited right after they opened and was able to get a seat right away. The original flavor is salt ramen, but I ordered miso ramen since I had tried the salt before. The ramen was delicious with a rich flavor. Perfect for after playing in the drift ice during winter.

After walking on the drift ice, we were looking for a restaurant but most of them were closed. We ended up at this ramen and yakitori place. We tried the recommended salt ramen and yakitori. The salt ramen was okay, made with salt and pork bone, but the flavor was a bit lacking. The yakitori was average. We also looked at other side dishes, but they were a bit pricey. Considering the location and catering to tourists, it's understandable. The service attitude of the staff was so-so. The restaurant claimed to have won the Bib Gourmand award in the past, but it felt like a mere appeal from a Michelin inspector trying to pay attention to minor areas like Minowa Toy Box. In the end, it's obvious that the more competitive areas offer cheaper and tastier options. In Hokkaido, using fresh fish and vegetables would surely result in better taste, so it's unclear why this unoriginal restaurant received an award.

I asked the staff at The North Face store in Shiretoko Center for lunch recommendations and they suggested this place. I tried the salt ramen for 880 yen and it was delicious, but my friend preferred the miso ramen. We also had a soft-boiled egg for 110 yen. I really enjoyed the meal. I wonder if there is a branch in Kitami, but it seems like it may have closed down. It's a shame because the food was so good. I would love to visit again when I go back to Shiretoko.

On the second day of the Shiretoko trip. After enjoying the sightseeing boat Aurora, I had this ramen shop as my first choice. It has been selected as a Bib Gourmand in Hokkaido Michelin before. When I arrived before 12:30, there were about 7 people waiting outside the shop... I told the staff my name and the number of people, waited for about 15 minutes, and was called into the shop. There are several types of ramen, but you can choose from soy sauce, salt, or miso for all of them. There was a sign in the shop saying "When in doubt, go for salt!" so I ordered the vegetable ramen with salt. I also ordered rice ^^; The vegetable ramen was 990 yen. The rice was 180 yen. Soon after, the ramen was served. The soup is a salt-based pork bone broth. I'm happy because there aren't many pork bone ramen shops in Hokkaido. The curly noodles are good at soaking up the soup. The sweetness of the cabbage also complements the richness of the soup. I finished it in no time. Thank you for the meal♪

I arrived at a popular ramen shop near Utoro Onsen around 6:30 pm and had to wait for 15 minutes. I ordered yakitori and ramen. I had the chicken breast with cod roe mayo and gizzard. The chicken breast was fresh and tender, slightly raw, and very delicious. The gizzard had a lot of saltiness, so I regretted not choosing the sauce when not drinking alcohol. The salt ramen had a rich tonkotsu-based soup with depth, a smooth soup, and the chashu was delicious without any dryness. Thank you for the meal.

I had ramen and Shiretoko chicken at this restaurant last year, and this year I came for dinner again following the same pattern. This place is a ramen shop, but also serves izakaya dishes with a wide variety of appetizers. And it's delicious and cheap! This time, we ordered a lot again, with my son having the negi salt ramen and me having the miso ramen. It was really delicious.

This is a restaurant that has been selected for the Michelin Bib Gourmand. I went for drinks in the evening, but the restaurant was already full with a waiting list for one group. They said we might have to wait for over 30 minutes, but we ended up being seated in about 20 minutes. We started with a bottle of beer (550 yen), Sapporo Black Label. Classic and very satisfying. The appetizers (300 yen) were fried eggplant and marinated octopus. Both were delicious and raised our expectations for the rest of the meal. This place seems to focus on grilled skewers, so we ordered the chicken breast skewers with spicy cod roe and cheese topping (510 yen) and the minced chicken skewers (400 yen). The chicken breast skewers were amazing! Cooked rare inside with a perfect charcoal flavor. The chicken flavor was deep and rich, not overpowered by the strong cod roe. The minced chicken skewers were also delicious, with cartilage mixed in and perfectly seasoned. The sauce was rich but didn't overpower the flavor of the skewers. Just these two dishes made me want to come back again. We also ordered the ramen salad (750 yen), which used a whole serving of noodles and had a delicious sesame dressing. For the finale, we had the ramen (830 yen). I saw recommendations for the salt flavor, and some reviews compared it to Santoka ramen, so I ordered the salt flavor. This ramen was also delicious... everything I ate at this restaurant was delicious! The staff were friendly, and the restaurant was bustling with locals and tourists. I found a great restaurant in Shiretoko, the edge of the world. I will definitely come back!

Located 40 minutes by car from JR Shiretoko Shari Station in Hokkaido, Nami Shubuki is a restaurant in Utoro, Shari-cho, Shari-gun, Hokkaido. It has a rating of 3.48 on Tabelog and is featured in the Michelin Bib Gourmand guide. Surprisingly, it is a combination of a yakitori izakaya and ramen shop along National Route 334 in Utoro, about 40km from Shari-cho. I was amazed to find a Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant in such a place! I visited in the evening and was surprised to see that the place was almost full, but they quickly seated ramen-only customers. I chose the salt ramen, which had options of salt, soy sauce, and miso soup base. The pork bone soup with salt was delicious. It was a fitting end to my gourmet journey in the remote Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido. Next time, I want to try the yakitori as well! I was very satisfied with being able to purchase Nami Shubuki's fresh ramen as a souvenir. #Ramen #NamiShubuki #BibGourmand #MichelinBibGourmand #BibGourmandFeaturedRestaurant #Ramen #SaltRamen #SaltNoodles #RamenLover #RamenExplorer #RamenEnthusiast #RamenInstagrammer #RamenShop #RamenClub #RamenInstagram #RamenDatabase #RamenLoversUnite #RamenInstagram #NoodleAdventures #NoodleInstagram #NoodleInstagrammer #RamenGirl #AlmostFoodBlog #HokkaidoRamen #HokkaidoGourmet #HokkaidoLunch #RamenAddict #ramen

I stopped by for lunch during my Shiretoko tour around 12 o'clock. Even though it was lunchtime, I was able to get in without waiting. It seems like there are fewer people in Shiretoko this year, so I was lucky. This restaurant apparently started with salt, so I decided to go with the Salt Ramen (830 yen). It was served in about 5 minutes. The color was a very light yellow, making me wonder if it was really salt-based. When I tasted the soup, it had a creamy flavor with a pork bone broth that was not overpowering. The curly noodles were accompanied by plenty of bamboo shoots and green onions, making it a satisfying meal. Many reviews mentioned finishing the soup, and I did the same. Towards the end, I wished for more of the green onion accent, so the Green Onion Salt Ramen might be a good choice as well. The table seating offered a nice view of the sea, making it a great ramen shop that Shiretoko can be proud of.

Shiretoko, which I had been wanting to visit, doesn't have many food options and I can't eat seafood. There is a really good ramen shop that I've been curious about for a long time. It seems to be Bib Gourmand rated. I finally went there and even though the prices were about 200 yen higher than what I saw on Tabelog, it's been about 10 years since then so it's understandable! It was just before 2 o'clock but there were quite a few people inside. I ordered the salt ramen and the chashu was so tender. The soup was so good that you could drink it forever. It came with two types of noodles, which I appreciated. I wish the noodles were curly and bright yellow, but I'm sure these noodles are the best. They also have limited-time specials every month, so I'd love to try them out!

I visit the Shiretoko Peninsula once a year, and I always make sure to stop by this restaurant. I first learned about it from a guide at the Shiretoko Five Lakes, and the ramen I had for lunch there was amazing. Later, I stayed at a famous hotel but was disappointed by the dinner buffet, so I decided to skip it the second night and went to this restaurant instead. The grilled Shiretoko local chicken was juicy and delicious, and all the other appetizers were great too. Since then, I have skipped the hotel dinner and dined at this restaurant two nights in a row. I wish they would open a branch in Sapporo. This restaurant is popular locally as well, so making a reservation is a must if you plan to go there for dinner. And the view of the sunset from the parking lot is also amazing!

I made a reservation for the evening session and visited at the opening time. I ordered the Negi Shio Ramen. The pork bone-based soup with plenty of leeks was very delicious. I saw local people gathering with their families and having a good time. I wanted to take a picture of the sunset, so I left the seat early, but next time I visit Shiretoko, I want to enjoy yakitori and beer, and finish with ramen.
