On the day of my visit, I purchased four cakes: Miroir Fraise, Choux Cream, Pistachio Strawberry Mousse, and Mont Blanc. The cakes were all visually appealing and tasted delicious. The Pistachio Strawberry Mousse was particularly impressive, with a nice balance of flavors. Overall, the shop exceeded my expectations, and I look forward to visiting again.

I visited to buy Halloween sweets. It is located near Okigakuin. There is a parking lot. The storefront has lots of plants and has a nice atmosphere. Cats sometimes come to play, making the inside of the store very cute. This is definitely a shop that girls will love. The interior also has a lot of fish swimming in the aquarium, adding to the mystical atmosphere. This time, I mainly bought baked goods, but the cakes also looked delicious. There is a cafe space, so I would like to use it next time.

It stands out with its unique decorations among the surrounding buildings, creating an interesting atmosphere. There is a small parking lot with space for 2-3 cars in front of the shop, making it easily accessible. Upon entering the shop, you will see a showcase of cakes on the left and baked goods on the right. There are also tables in the back where you can sit and enjoy a cafe-like experience. The counter at the back displays bottles of alcohol, but it is unclear if they are served (laughs). The fruit cakes are generously topped with fruits, exceeding expectations and satisfying with their abundance of fruit. I tried condensed milk cream for the first time, and it was delicious with just the right amount of sweetness and flavor. The Western-style sweets are quite large but have a crispy texture and a fluffy, melty feel, with delicate flavors. They are not overly rich but still assertive in taste, making them a must-try treat.

I searched for an original cake shop!! This time, I ordered a Conan cake for 3000 yen each, which was quite expensive (lol). It cost around 8000 yen in total. I chose a tart! Then I remembered a cute cake shop, Patisserie & Cafe Rouge, that I've been curious about. The exterior is charming and stands out since there are no other shops around here! They have parking spaces, making it easy to stop by and buy a souvenir. When I entered the store, I saw rows of liquor bottles in the back. There's a bar counter and a cafe space with tables. It has a mysterious atmosphere. When I asked if they also run a bar, they said it's just a cafe. I see, the bar is part of the decor... In the front, there were baked goods, cakes, and lovely candles on display. There weren't too many options to choose from. I decided on caramel pudding, peach pudding, strawberry pudding, and a chocolate cake. The cups were stylish and cute. The caramel pudding was smooth and creamy. The peach pudding had peach-flavored pudding with fruit on top, refreshing with a subtle sweetness. I really liked it! I rarely hear of people who dislike pudding, and even those who don't like sweet things can usually enjoy pudding. I realized that pudding is a great choice for souvenirs! These puddings were delicious and well-received, so I would like to visit again.

Across from the showcase, there are baked goods and cute candles and other miscellaneous items displayed. In the back, there is a counter and tables, as the name suggests, it also has a cafe. They also seem to have alcohol available. The items I purchased this time were a souffle cheesecake, strawberry condensed milk, Bebe, and a premium pound cake. The souffle cheesecake was not glossy in appearance, and my cheesecake-loving partner didn't seem to like it. The strawberry condensed milk was served in a glass container, and as expected, the condensed milk was sweet, which was the dominant flavor. Bebe was chosen based on appearance, and it had a rich cherry soaked in liqueur at the bottom, with a good balance of flavors between the cream on top and the bottom crust. The premium pound cake had a creamy filling, and while it was small, it was quite sweet. Overall, the cakes were on the sweeter side, which may not have been to my liking this time. It has pineapple at the bottom, custard pudding in the middle, and sponge cake. I also tried the "Mont Blanc" with red bean paste inside and a macaron crust at the bottom. Lastly, the "Custard Roll" was like a rich custard-flavored Swiss roll. Overall, the shop is perfect for those who love custard and vanilla flavors.

When walking at a leisurely pace, you notice many changes in shops and the city. Last year, while walking on Kiyomi Street from the airport towards Noma, near the Takashita overpass, I caught a whiff of sweet bread but couldn't figure out where it was coming from. I searched around the area but couldn't find the source, thinking I might have been mistaken. This went on for days. Then, the other day, I finally discovered the source of the bread smell. I was taking a different route for a walk and noticed a few cars parked in front of a new cake shop. "Oh, a new cake shop is open!" I love discovering new shops. I went in right away. They had not only cakes but also muffins and bread. I bought a muffin and a bread that caught my eye. When I took a bite of the muffin, it was incredibly moist and fluffy, and so delicious! It's my favorite kind of muffin, I really liked it. I'm so happy that there's such a delicious muffin shop on my walking route! Maybe the best muffin I've ever had. I love the crispy texture of it. Next time, I want to go early in the morning when they have a wide selection of products. I also want to try their sweets. On August 7, 2011, I visited Patisserie Rouge, which had just opened. It is located right in front of Tamamizu Kindergarten. I received information about the new opening from a friend (Yuka-chan) and decided to go there right away. I arrived at 10:00, the opening time, and there was already a line. They even offered juice as a service while we waited. The store opened right at 10:00, and I was the first one inside. There is a cafe corner at the back, but it was closed on the opening day. I tried the Honey Coffee, which I really liked. I took pictures of the various pastries in the showcase, all of which looked delicious. The popular Caramel Burnees Croissant cost 180 yen, the Blueberry Muffin cost 250 yen, and the Mont Blanc, made with French chestnuts, meringue, and cassis cream, cost 380 yen. The Mont Blanc was delicious, not too sweet, and the cassis acidity was just right. The Caramel Burnees cost 360 yen and had caramel mousse, vanilla brulee, and pandoro inside. PATISSERIE & CAFE ROUGE OPEN Theme: Sweets Several cake shops have been opening in my neighborhood recently. Yesterday, a shop called ROUGE opened up. The interior has a cafe attached, with plenty of baked goods and croissants for sale. The cakes, especially the chocolate ones, looked stylish and there was even a heart-shaped cake. The staff seemed a bit overwhelmed as they had just opened, but the service was polite and I look forward to going back when things settle down. I bought cream puffs for my family, two types of jelly, cheesecake, and a chocolate cake. The cheesecake was a classic souffle type and the chocolate cake with walnuts had a stable taste. My husband really enjoyed them. I prefer classic flavors over trendy ones, so this place near my kids' kindergarten and high school might become a favorite spot for local moms to relax.

I bought a birthday cake for a child. I wanted a marzipan cake, so I searched online and found this place with high completion‼︎ I went to the store to make a reservation. It had only been open for a few hours, but some items were already sold out, maybe because it was a holiday. They were very polite when taking my cake order. The petit gateaux in the showcase looked very stylish and delicious‼︎ There were many decorations and candle options that kids would love. Marzipan figures were around 1000 yen each. The price varied depending on the character. I bought two marzipan figures and an 18cm cake for about 8000 yen. I also bought a cream puff for 150 yen. It was small, with a thick and moist choux pastry. It reminded me of bread in texture. I liked the custard cream, but I'm not a big fan of cream puffs in general. For the birthday cake, I ordered a cream cake. It was a shame that the marzipan on top fell over during transport. The cake itself had a soft sponge and the cream was quite sweet! It looked very beautiful, but I prefer a less sweet taste. The marzipan was surprisingly delicious! It was like a sweetened caramel. I also bought a caramel pudding. It was rich and delicious!

There is a shop in front of Oki Gakuen Junior High School that also sells bread. There is also an eat-in space. This time, I purchased Mont Blanc, chocolate cake, and lemon tart. First, the Mont Blanc is made with macaron dough and filled with pearl an. The chestnut flavor is not very strong. The chocolate cake is not too sweet, and the texture of the walnuts was a nice accent. The lemon tart has a sweet and sour lemon sauce under the meringue.

I finished my errands and had an early dinner, then around 7 pm, I went to the patisserie I had been curious about for a while. As expected, there were only a few options available since it was evening, which is common for non-chain stores. There was plenty of parking space, and I really liked the cute atmosphere of the shop. I planned to relax in the café area, but... First, I looked at the display case (as expected, there were few options in the evening) and commented to my husband who had just entered later. My husband went to the restroom right away, so I ordered my favorite "Tarte aux Fraises" and waited on the sofa. Then, when my husband came out of the restroom, he said, "The person behind the glass is glaring at us." Probably because he heard me say there were few options available. However, it is natural for there to be few options in the evening. Some popular shops have almost nothing left by around 3 pm. Also, as I was looking at the display case to see if there was something my husband might like, I almost bumped into a male staff member who was arranging baked goods. But there was not a single word of "Excuse me" or "I'm sorry." My husband chose a cake called "Esprit," which is a tart base with chocolate cream on top. Both the cake I chose and the one my husband chose were not too sweet and to my liking. But I was a bit disappointed with the staff's attitude. The female staff was very kind, but the male staff (patissier, boulanger) behaved in a way that is unacceptable in the service industry. When on the floor, one should not forget to greet customers with "Welcome" and a smile. (I have also worked in the service industry.) Moreover, glaring at customers even when they can see you is not a commendable act. The work area should be made not visible behind glass. It's a shame because the cakes were delicious. I am hesitant about returning. I gave a score of 1 for service based on the female staff. There are plenty of other delicious shops out there.

The cake shop has a café attached to it. The sweets all look lovely and the interior of the shop has a fancy feel, like something out of a picture book. After much deliberation, I ended up buying a banana tart-like pastry and enjoyed it in the adjacent café space. They served it on a plate when I mentioned using the café. Most of the drinks were coffee, but since I'm not a big fan of coffee and it was mostly over 500 yen, I asked for water instead, and they kindly accommodated my request without any fuss. I wish there were more drink options, but the cake was delicious, so it was a hit! They also have a parking lot, so I'll definitely be coming back here again. It was a delightful weekend discovering such a nice shop.
