I stopped by while looking for a snack to bring as a souvenir. I decided to buy the ★Custard Cake for ¥1,512, as I have been a customer before and wanted to try it again. The cake was a bit small with 6 slices, but it had a rich and strong sweet flavor with a firm texture, which I liked. It was well received by my friends, and the fact that it didn't get squished during transportation was a plus. It's a convenient and affordable option. Thank you for the meal.

I received this as a souvenir from Hakata. The shop is located outside the Hakata Station ticket gate in a souvenir shop corner. The main office seems to be in Sasebo, Nagasaki. It says "Red Bean Butter Cookie". The cookie was moist, sweet, and delicious.

I purchased it for my friend's birthday! The cheesecake has a fluffy texture, and when you cut it, there is a lot of strawberry mousse inside, which was very delicious! It was the perfect size, cut into 6 pieces. There is also a frozen version that can last for about 3 days. My friend was very happy, and next time, I want to try the classic cheesecake!

I also couldn't resist the Mont Blanc next to it, so I ended up buying both. The Mont Blanc was amazing! The chestnut cream was covered with a dome-shaped meringue crust coated with chocolate instead of sponge cake, giving it a crispy texture that was a first for me and very delicious. The cheesecake also didn't disappoint, and the heat made it a bit gooey, which surprisingly added to its appeal.

To celebrate the one-year anniversary, we also received a small gift. Hakata Madoka is a new textured cookie made with fermented butter and red beans, melting in your mouth. Hakata Madoka features the wood apple crest, one of the crests of Kushida Shrine. It has a buttery financiers dough with the texture of poppy seeds as an accent, and it contains black bean paste, offering a mix of Japanese and Western flavors.

Unexpectedly! The Hakata Station Building was open from New Year's Day, so I tried the Cake Hajime Fondant Fromage for 442 yen. It had strawberries on top with cream, and the strawberry version was the same price. The center part was soft and gooey, and it started to collapse... It was delicious though. The Cheesecake for 345 yen also had options with or without strawberries. It was a souffle type with a fluffy and nostalgic taste and texture.

It is a Financier with a generous amount of butter and chestnut paste mixed with grains of Kyushu-grown candied chestnuts. The Ninety-Nine Islands Group seems to be a specialty of Nagasaki Prefecture, but there are also many specialty sweets from Fukuoka. I bought it thinking it was a Hakata specialty called Hakata Maron.

This is a restaurant in a department store basement. The main store is a confectionery store in Sasebo, Nagasaki Prefecture. They offer a wide range of the company's products for sale. They have a good selection of small-sized sweets that are perfect for souvenirs, but they also have fresh sweets, so if it takes a long time to take them home, it can be challenging. In that case, if you purchase over a certain amount, they offer a flat-rate discount on shipping nationwide, which is convenient. The frozen items will be thawed later, but the taste doesn't seem to change much.

I prefer individually packaged items over large bags, and I like to choose sweets with a Western confectionery feel. One example is the "Financier with Kyushu-grown chestnut marron glace filling, wrapped in butter-rich dough and baked. This cute treat is made with carefully selected Kyushu-grown chestnuts, flour, and eggs, born and raised in Hakata. The filling of marron glace is rich and sweet, generously filled more than shown in the sample. The compact, easy-to-open, easy-to-eat, non-messy, crumb-free packaging is also appreciated. Kyushu truly has delicious souvenirs, with a variety of tempting sweets. Many of them can only be found in the Kansai region or at local food fairs, making them rare items that are not readily available in Tokyo. Of course, most of them can be purchased online, but I prefer to give souvenirs that I have tried and found delicious. It's always great to have the opportunity for active sampling. I bought it as a souvenir and also for myself.

Don't underestimate this small packaging, because this Financier is incredibly delicious! The cute packaging catches your eye. The rich buttery texture perfectly complements the sweetness, creating an exquisite taste. The square shape is unique and memorable, making it a luxurious cake. Just as satisfying as a freshly baked cake, I love it! Very satisfied, will definitely order again!

Local Fukuoka memory taste. I have moved to another prefecture now, but every time I go back to my hometown, I buy the Red Balloon cheesecake to take home. There are many varieties now, but I love the old-fashioned cheesecake with pineapple on top. The fizzy cheesecake after you put it in your mouth is unique to Red Balloon. I used to go to the underground mall, but it closed down... I will stop by here from now on. It's much more delicious than the cheesecake from Rikuro Ojisan, but it's a shame that it's not well-known.

I had been curious about the Fondant Fromage from Akai Fuusen that I saw in a review by Mairevi-sama for a long time! I happened to remember it on my way back from Hakata Station for some errands, so I decided to stop by. When I arrived at the shop, the first thing that caught my eye was the new summer limited edition "Salt Lemon Fondant Fromage"! Limited editions always make me curious (laughs). When I asked, unfortunately, they were sold out for the day, so I ended up trying just a sample of the original plain type. They use Setouchi lemons, so the lemon scent is great. They bake it with Custard cream and Amakusa Banpeiyu, layering it with Guerande salt cream and Setouchi lemon cream. It also has sparkling wine jelly on top, making it a summery cake. I purchased the plain type (whole only, 1728 yen including tax). The fluffy and delicate cheese souffle with plenty of cheese cream inside made it a challenge to cut (^^; It was a cheesecake that cheese lovers would adore. I heard there are other seasonal limited edition flavors, so I would like to try them again. Thank you for the meal♪

They started their business with the release of a fluffy souffle cheesecake with pineapples, which became their signature product. Subsequently, they introduced popular items like fondant fromage and aged cheesecake. In August 2017, they renewed their Hakata Maron. It is a baked confectionery with Kyushu-grown candied chestnuts in the filling, wrapped in financiers. Though small, it is a deep and flavorful treat.

There is a shop inside the Maring at Hakata Station. I was looking for sweets as a souvenir for my family. I thought the package illustration was lovely and Western-style, so I bought it. The product is called "Cask Cake" (small) for 1,100 yen plus tax. This shop seems to be located in Huis Ten Bosch. I understood the meaning of the illustration. This cheesecake is also sold at a store inside Fukuoka Airport. It uses cod cheese and cream cheese. It is rich but not too heavy, making it easy to eat and seems like it would go well with wine. Come to think of it, it's been a while since I've been to Huis Ten Bosch.

☆Souvenir Series Vol.98☆ While the classic souvenir from Hakata was "Torimon," this time I tried a different option: the camel-flavored steamed bun called "Akai Fūsen Hakata Kyaraman." The company behind this treat is "Akai Fūsen," based in Sasebo City, famous for its Sasebo burgers. They are known for their fluffy soufflé cheesecake topped with pineapples, but this time I opted for the "Hakata Kyaraman" as a souvenir. The packaging, with its red and orange colors, gives off a retro vibe reminiscent of a sunset, creating a cozy feeling. The "Hakata Kyaraman" comes in a pack of 10 for 1,080 yen. The oval-shaped steamed bun has a moist and substantial texture. Inside the thin and moist milk-flavored dough, there is a generous filling of caramel cream white bean paste, with occasional almond bits adding a crunchy contrast. It's sweet with a hint of nuttiness, giving a delightful caramel experience. All the sweets from Akai Fūsen look delicious. Especially the cheesecake, which seems like something that girls would love. With their beautiful and cute appearance, they make perfect gifts or souvenirs. It seems that their stores are only in Kyushu, but they do have an online shop. I wish there was one nearby.
