In the local area of Kaizuka, there aren't many places to go for a drink, so I was having trouble. This time, I visited this place recommended by someone. It's located on the north side of Nankai Kaizuka Station, just a 3-minute walk down a back alley. They have a wide variety of skewers, and the segyo skewer is especially good. The set menu for 590 yen includes a drink and 4 skewers. The master is friendly, and it's a nice atmosphere in the shop.

Hello. This is Shunmama. Last weekend, my family of three decided to go to Torakichi near Kaizuka station because we were relaxing at home. I invited my second daughter, but she said, "Eating out? Where are we going? Torakichi... I'll just eat at home lol." We didn't catch any fish at the yakitori place. Italian or a traditional house cafe might have been more successful. lol So, we went to eat yakitori just the two of us. The restaurant, with large lanterns as a sign, is a place where you can enjoy delicious food and drinks even if it's not Torakichi. We sat at the counter and ordered the "Thank you set" which includes 4 skewers + a drink for 590 yen. Great value, right! We ordered skewers (neck, tsukune, cartilage, chicken wings). We started with a toast with draft beer. The appetizer for the day was fried tofu, lightly warm and crispy on the outside and tender inside. Yummy! All the skewers were delicious, and the beer kept flowing. We ordered another round, this time with lemon chu-hai. We also decided to order some other dishes, such as Hokkaido white fish roe with ponzu sauce and grilled salted yellowtail. Both were delicious, and we kept drinking more and more. We had a fun conversation with the owner of Torakichi and ended up getting a bit tipsy. It's always a great place to visit. A hidden gem in Kaizuka. Thank you as always. Good evening. Today, I met up with my high school classmates after a long time. One of them is coming on the 4th of this month for his daughter's coming-of-age ceremony photoshoot. However, due to the impact of a typhoon, he is busy with construction work and even has night shifts. So, we ended up having a drinking session at a yakitori place in Kaizuka that he had reserved for us. It was my first time drinking alone near the station, and the yakitori set with 4 skewers and a beer for 590 yen was surprisingly cheap. We drank a lot and ordered as usual, enjoying the affordable yakitori. After that, we went to a neighboring Korean restaurant called "Kosui" where the kind owner served us delicious chijimi and side dishes until our stomachs were full. The chijimi here is excellent. While watching the final game of the Hanshin Tigers on TV at a sports bar, I enjoyed drinks with a former student (52 years old). We had a variety of snacks, including yakitori and sashimi. It was my first time drinking at the counter, but the bartender was friendly and made us feel very comfortable. It was a shame that Hanshin lost and Yakult clinched the championship. I hope to come back with Tsuru-kun next time.

[November 28, multiple visits] It had been a while since Triki opened near my house, but I finally visited again. I ordered the usual Gokuro-san set and cheers to that! With 4 skewers and a drink for only 590 yen, the cost performance is really amazing. I had neck, chicken wings, skin, and cartilage. My husband had heart, liver, neck, and chicken wings. The appetizer was vinegar miso sauce over konjac with baby. It was surprisingly not crowded, so we were able to relax and enjoy our drinks. As for appetizers, we tried the recommended Botan shrimp. Wow, they were huge and delicious. The roe was fresh and that's what made it so tasty. Oh, what a blissful moment. My husband also ordered vinegar oysters, while I had grilled thick tofu and potato cheese from the fried section. The potato cheese balls were like takoyaki with melty cheese inside. They were perfect with ketchup. We spent about an hour there, drinking and eating, and the total bill for two was only 4,000 yen. Such a great deal. I visited a delicious yakitori restaurant that is a favorite of my partner's hometown. It's called Torayoshi. It's located near Kaizuka Station, just a short walk north where you can spot a large lantern, making it easy to find. The restaurant has about 7 counter seats and three tables. It seems to be a place where locals gather at night. The highlight of the restaurant is the Gokuro-san set!! You get 4 skewers and a draft beer (or chuhai) for only 590 yen! What a steal! Everyone orders this set, so the staff assumes you want it and will ask for your skewer order after your drink order (laughs). On this day, the two of us ordered heart, neck, and chicken wings (2 each), as well as back liver and tsukune (1 each), all for 590 yen each. Such a deal! We also ordered chicken tataki, daikon salad, and grilled shishito peppers. The yakitori was perfectly cooked, as expected, and the friendly chef entertained us with great conversation, making it a fun and enjoyable place to drink and eat. They are open until 1 am, but I recommend going earlier (they open at 5 pm). It's best to call ahead before going.

Torakichi is a popular restaurant for Hanshin Tigers fans, with the interior decorated with uniforms and other merchandise. Don't worry, even Giants fans can enter without any issues! On this particular day, my wife and I sat at the counter as our children were busy. It was the last Friday of March, and the place was packed with farewell parties and other gatherings. We ordered the popular Gokurousan set, which includes 4 skewers and a drink for only ¥590 - such a great deal! Our eldest daughter arrived earlier than expected, so we added more yakitori, dashimaki tamago, grilled rice balls, and a yakitori rice bowl to enjoy. The delicious yakitori and side dishes left us completely satisfied. It's a great restaurant that lives up to its popularity!
