Come here at night. Made a reservation for the all-you-can-drink option and visited the restaurant. The all-you-can-drink includes a choice of draft beer. Ordered the famous sashimi platter and chicken wings. The chicken wings were delicious, so we ordered more. The grilled Unzen ham was also tasty. There were various other dishes that satisfied us. As the time for the all-you-can-drink ended, we chose a glass of sake to finish off.

In the pouring rain, we had a drinking party as planned. We ordered the all-you-can-drink course, which had a bit less variety than expected. The fish dishes were reliably good. It made me crave some sake. Other dishes were also decent, passing the test. The motsunabe had a light flavor, and the motsu was shiny and tender. Surprisingly, the meal ended with zosui instead of champon. They brought it down once more. I might have had too much to drink that day because honestly, I don't remember much (laughs). But I had a fun time drinking without any issues... If only it wasn't pouring rain, and if it were a bit closer to Hakata Station.

On this day, I went out for a drink with some colleagues I don't usually drink with. We went to Terubou, a rare treat after work. We had made a reservation, so we were seated at a table in the back. We started with a toast of draft beer and ordered fresh octopus sashimi and live squid sashimi. The fresh octopus was big and sweet, really delicious. The live squid sashimi was small but had a nice chewy texture that went well with the sake. After the sashimi, we had tempura, but they didn't have regular edamame so we ordered grilled edamame and crispy green peppers instead. There was a new trainee shadowing a veteran waiter, and they accidentally brought us grilled bamboo shoots instead of bamboo shoot tempura, so we just took a photo of it. The tempura was crispy and delicious. In the second half, we had fried chicken wings, stingray fin, pickled plums, and other snacks to go with our drinks. We had a good time and enjoyed the food and drinks. Thank you for the meal!

I was invited by a colleague after work, and three middle-aged men intruded♪ My colleague said he comes here occasionally, but it's been a while for me (^^; I used to order a 500 yen cup of sake and drink it in my favorite small cup, but this time they have a 2,000 yen all-you-can-drink option! Cheers with lemon sour and draft beer♪ We ordered ginkgo nuts because they are in season, along with a sashimi platter and raw octopus sashimi (^^) The ginkgo nuts were hot and delicious when freshly grilled! Highball please♪ The sashimi platter included bonito, conger eel, red snapper, and sesame mackerel, all of which were delicious♪ We also ordered additional raw octopus and let's have some sake (Shiraishi Super Spicy)! We'll add conger eel tempura and lava-grilled pork belly. There used to be a cruel menu where they grilled the live octopus legs on the lava, but they don't do it anymore. It was cruel, but it was so delicious (^^) The pork belly was thick and had a fresh edge to it. It had sweetness in the fat, making it go well with the Black Mist on the rocks (^^) Let's call it a day for today! Thank you for the meal~ (^^)♪

After the typhoon passed, it suddenly started to get cold, which was a bit surprising. Now, about this restaurant. It's the one recommended by Soyoka-san, right? She advised me to try the rice here. So, while waiting for the rice to cook, I had a sashimi platter, matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot, and grilled mentaiko. The sashimi platter included bonito, sesame marinated horse mackerel, octopus, conger eel, yellowtail, and tuna. The yellowtail was seared with a citrusy flavor and salt, very delicious. I immediately switched from highball to sake, as it paired well with the dish. The grilled mentaiko was as expected, amazing. It truly showcased the chef's skills. The matsutake mushroom steamed in a pot was a clear sign of autumn. It made me realize it had been years since I last had matsutake. The aroma of matsutake and the taste of shimeji mushrooms were fantastic. The broth was superb, making it a dish that could make you drink sake endlessly. The crunchy texture of matsutake was also delightful. And then, the much-awaited crunchy sound of the silver shaker! I had it made into a salt rice ball. I think Japanese people can drink even more sake with this salt rice ball. The combination of Japanese sake and salt rice ball is really good, I believe. And there was mackerel and grilled mentaiko on top of that. Wonderful. It's a great restaurant that makes you feel the autumn vibes. Thank you for the polite send-off. It was a delicious meal!

I visited around 8:00 pm on September 11, 2022. The chopstick rest was made of real peanuts, which I found very unique. I tried chestnut tempura for the first time and it was delicious. The corn tempura was also very tasty, I ended up getting seconds. The sashimi was fresh and delicious. Both the chicken and beef were tender and not too fatty, even I, who usually doesn't like it, enjoyed them. The potato salad and rice balls were also delicious. Thank you for the feast, I will definitely visit again.

I went to this restaurant based on a recommendation from an acquaintance. The standout feature was the staff - they were mostly part-timers, but they were all smiling and attentive to the customers. The restaurant is known for its fresh squid sashimi, so I made sure to reserve it in advance and then ordered freely for the rest of the meal. I considered getting a course meal with all-you-can-drink option, but in the end, after spending 4 hours there and having around 6 mega highballs, as well as ordering various sashimi dishes, it cost me just over 7000 yen. So, if you want to relax and take your time, you might not necessarily need to go for the course meal. Since there were many couples and groups, I think it's better to go with 2 to 4 friends who get along well, rather than drinking alone.

After finishing work on a certain weekend, while some people are celebrating the birth of Christ, we are not swayed by such things at our age. We head to this shop in a festive mood. We start off with a toast with sparkling wine and beer, and order our usual grilled Kanagi, shirako tempura, and grilled oysters. We quickly switch to sake, and order from the selection of beautiful women from Yamaguchi. The specialty here is that the sake is served in a one-coin glass, but on this day we order in units of two cups. The choice of snacks goes well with the sake. The shirako tempura melts in your mouth and is irresistible. The grilled oysters are firm and delicious. We skip the raw octopus this time and go for the grilled pork belly that we had last time. It sizzles as we grill it, but the crispy hot pork belly is so satisfying. We enjoy sake from Nara and Kumamoto, and top up with some grilled stingray fin. We stay for about an hour and a half before thinking about heading home.

I used to visit this restaurant for lunch quite often, but during the state of emergency, they had to close for both lunch and dinner. Now that the emergency has been lifted, they have reopened for dinner, so I went with my colleagues after work. We started with a toast of highball and ordered grilled edamame, lava-grilled pork belly, and the delicious seared Kanagi. I switched to a famous cup sake (120ml for 500 yen) to go with the food. They offer 4 types and 9 varieties of sake, and you can choose your own sake cup from the shelf. The seared Kanagi went perfectly with the sake! The pork belly was tasty with both sauce and salt options. We also ordered some crispy fried conger eel, which was thick and juicy inside. We had a few more rounds of drinks and finished with a Three Peaks on the rocks. Yes, tonight I got drunk again!

This restaurant offers lunch using silver rice cooked in a feather pot, and I have used it several times during the period when the emergency declaration for the coronavirus was issued. However, when I visited today with my colleague after work, they were not serving lunch. We toasted to the day and ordered a sashimi platter with fresh oysters. There were seven types of sashimi available, including live octopus, medium fatty tuna, horse mackerel, squid, bonito, and sesame mackerel. They cut the oysters in half because they were quite large, and they were creamy and delicious. We also ordered a bottle of Mitsui no Juban sake, and they let us choose our sake cups from a shelf. The grilled Kanagi fish paired perfectly with the sake. We then switched to the recommended Somyo sake and enjoyed the main dish of grilled live octopus on a lava stone. It was still moving a bit, but the taste and texture were amazing. We asked the chef to bring back the lunch menu, and we ended the meal with delicious pork soup, two pieces of fried chicken, and a rolled omelet with raw egg. We hope they bring back the lunch set meal soon. Thank you for the meal!

On this day, I received a suggestion from my colleague to try the delicious one-coin pork soup set at a good silver shari restaurant, so three of us went together. When we checked the menu at the entrance, we found out that the daily special was Terubo's staff curry for 800 yen. I had a moment of inner conflict as we were led to a table in the back... Should I stick to my original plan and get the pork soup set, or should I try the curry? I could imagine the staff curry being made with store-bought roux and chunks of carrots and potatoes, which was a bit scary. When I asked the staff if the curry was good, they said that the staff curry was made with beef and was popular among customers. So, I decided to take a chance and ordered the staff curry. My colleagues ordered the pork soup set and shirasu bowl, so I was the only one who didn't stick to the original plan. When the curry arrived in just 5 or 6 minutes, I was surprised by its appearance. It looked exactly as I had imagined (@_@). It felt like I had gained superpowers...haha! When I took a bite, it was sweet! So sweet! Extremely sweet!! It felt like a children's curry... My colleagues laughed when I added three times the amount of spice, saying it was too sweet... The beef was more generous than I expected, and it seemed to be popular among the young staff. It was nice that the curry came with a mini-size pork soup and tofu! I think I'll go for the pork soup set next time.

I wanted to eat a delicious bowl of white rice! I ordered the pork miso soup set for 500 yen! The appetizer was nice, and the fried chicken was unexpectedly crispy and well-seasoned! The white rice was definitely delicious! The miso soup was a bit lukewarm, but for 500 yen, I can't ask for more. If it was closer to my home, I would definitely come back. Thank you for the meal!

Upon entering the restaurant, we had to wait a bit as the staff cleared the table of the previous customers. Seeing the other customers enjoying the Negi-Shio Butadon made us change our minds about the pork miso soup set and opt for the daily special instead! Although there were three of us, we were seated at a table in the back and two of us chose the daily special while one stuck to the pork miso soup set. The food arrived in about 10 minutes and we dug in. The salad was fresh and crunchy, with delicious dressing. The Negi-Shio Butadon, made with pork shoulder meat, had a good amount of fat but the salty sauce made it really appetizing. The freshly cooked silver rice was indeed delicious. The pork miso soup was packed with ingredients like pork, daikon radish, carrot, burdock root, thick fried tofu, and taro, and the broth was flavorful and delicious, warming us up. The cold tofu side dish was a nice palate cleanser. Although the menu mentioned self-service for tea, hand towels, and pickles, there was no explanation from the staff, so we may have missed it somewhere!

This is a recently opened izakaya that started serving lunch, and I decided to revisit because the shirasu donburi I had last time with rice cooked in a hagama was delicious. The daily special was chicken nanban, and I was curious about the hormone teppanyaki, but I had already decided to order the pork miso soup set for 500 yen!! The large miso soup came with 2 pieces of karaage, dashimaki tamago, and a small side dish for this price. I decided to add a raw egg for an additional 50 yen. My colleague and I both ordered the same thing. The service was friendly and energetic, just like you'd expect from izakaya staff. The food arrived in about 5 minutes. The freshly cooked rice was delicious, but I think I prefer it a little more steamed. The miso soup had a good broth and plenty of ingredients like burdock, thick fried tofu, yam noodles, taro, and daikon. The karaage was crispy and delicious, and the meal was enjoyable. Despite feeling like the portion was small and the price was cheap, my colleague and I strangely felt satisfied with this lunch that seemed just right for our age group. We definitely plan to come back again♪

This day is Curry Day, as in 1982, curry was served in school lunches across elementary and junior high schools. Three of us headed to a curry restaurant we often visit, but it was full. On the way, we heard that a couple of izakayas in the area have started serving lunch, which they usually don't do, probably due to the state of emergency. One had a sign advertising pork steak for 800 yen, which was tempting, but my colleague recommended the restaurant next door, known for their delicious rice cooked in a pot. So, we decided to go there instead. We were seated at a table in the back, and my colleague ordered the pot-cooked whitebait rice bowl for 800 yen. The other person chose the grilled hormone for 800 yen. We asked for an extra raw egg for the whitebait rice bowl, and the staff kindly explained that it already comes with one. When the whitebait rice bowl and miso soup with warm tofu in sesame sauce were served, it already looked delicious. But then, we were surprised when two pieces of fried chicken and a rolled omelet were also brought to us. This meal had quite a substantial volume! The whitebait rice bowl, topped with spicy cod roe, was so tasty that we didn't even need to add the egg. The whitebait itself was low in salt and delicious. The rice, cooked in a pot, was incredibly flavorful! The miso soup was also tasty with plenty of ingredients, and the soy sauce-based fried chicken was freshly cooked and delicious! The pork soup set with two pieces of fried chicken for 500 yen also caught our attention. Once the state of emergency is lifted, we might also try dining there at night.

This restaurant in Hakata is a must-visit. We ordered a variety of dishes, with a focus on the silver shari, and everything was delicious. The staff were friendly and efficient. As the drinking party was winding down, we all eagerly responded to the announcement of the silver shari being ready. We devoured the food, especially the silver shari, which was served in large portions. I recommend trying the silver shari or the salt mussels. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

I visited this restaurant again because last time the food was really delicious and I couldn't get seconds in time (the next batch took a long time). As soon as I started drinking, the first batch was ready. I ordered the Ginshari at this point. I also ordered mentaiko as a side dish for the rice, but I realized that the Ginshari alone was enough. (Of course, the mentaiko is delicious too!) I finished it in no time. The simple dish of Yunzen ham was also delicious. The shiitake mushrooms and sea urchin were also delicious. But the salted rice balls in the next batch were really good. You can definitely enjoy them with alcohol. The saltiness and the texture of the rice are just perfect. Overall, all the dishes at this restaurant are delicious, so I recommend trying other items as well. It's really a great restaurant and I can see why it's so popular.

A shop that you might overlook at first glance. There may not be much to notice from the outside, but I was recommended to visit and I'm glad I did. It's a great find! Even weeks later, I still want to go back. The standout item is the onigiri (rice ball)! You might not expect it at an izakaya, but you must try it. It's a must-eat when you visit this place. There are various types available, such as mentaiko onigiri and regular silver rice ball, all of which you should try. The onigiri I had was perfect in terms of saltiness and rice texture. It really lifted my spirits. I wanted to order more, but they said it would take an hour for the next batch to be ready, so I had to give up. Apart from that, the scallops with crab miso and sea urchin sauce were also incredibly delicious, and the variety of drinks was extensive. Even if it's a bit far, I will definitely go back. I might even stay nearby just to visit this place. Ah, I really want to go to Hakata.

The squid was transparent and fresh, which made me happy, so I recommend focusing on seafood and rice dishes. I'm curious about what the course menu includes.
