This is the famous Meigetsudo located on the first floor of Hallo Day Shingu store, known for its Hakata Torimon. I visited here after having a meal in Shingu. In addition to Hakata Torimon, various sweets from Meigetsudo were displayed in the store. I was indecisive, but then I found a Halloween assortment set, so I decided to buy it. The Halloween set cost 690 yen and included four types of sweets: Hakata Torimon, a masterpiece bun with soft white bean paste that melts in your mouth; Orchid, a castella cake with a rich aroma made with fermented butter; Hakozaki Popo, a round castella cake baked using unique techniques; and Hakata Gyokuro Manju, a bun made with Gyokuro green tea leaves specially blended by a tea shop.
